In Pokémon games, IVs (Individual Values) are hidden stats that determine a Pokémon's potential in battle. Each Pokémon has six stats: HP, Attack, Defense, Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed. For each stat, an IV can range from 0 to 31, making a perfect IV in a stat 31. To have perfect IVs, a Pokémon must have a value of 31 in all six stats.
The calculation for finding a Pokémon with perfect IVs is as follows:
1. There are 32 possible IV values for each stat (0 through 31).
2. For perfect IVs, the value must be exactly 31.
3. The odds of one stat being perfect (31/32) is (1/32).
4. Since the IVs of each stat are independent, you multiply the odds for each stat.
Therefore, the odds of a Pokémon having perfect IVs in all six stats is:
(1/32)^6
Now, let's calculate this:
(1/32)^6 = (1/1073741824) OR 1 in 1,073,741,824 Chance
So, the odds of finding a Pokémon with perfect IVs are 1 in 1,073,741,824 (approximately 1 in a billion).
In modern Pokémon games, there are methods to improve these odds:
1. **Breeding**: Using items like the Destiny Knot, which passes down 5 IVs from the parents to the offspring.
2. **Hyper Training**: Allows players to maximize IVs using Bottle Caps for Pokémon at Level 100.
3. **Legendary Pokémon**: Typically have at least 3 perfect IVs in recent games.

Great video man. Got randomly recommended your vid. I haven't even played Pokemon since gen 1 and I found it interesting. Since you mentioned video ideas and One Piece, I would look into maybe getting into anime content as well. It has a strong niche with an overlap with gaming content like your already doing and people eat up the "first time watching One Piece" content where you review each arc and stuff.
