Glad I could help!
Wait wait wait. If you are a different major you can take the classes in dental school? I thought you had to do them before dental school? Please update me lol. Thanks!
There are certain pre-requisite courses that everybody must take before dental school, regardless of your major (ex chemistry, physics, etc). Once in dental school, much of your D1 coursework includes basic science classes, such as pathology and histology. If you were a biology major in undergrad, you might have taken these courses before. However, these courses are not required pre-requisites for dental school. Sorry if I caused any confusion! Hopefully this helps, let me know if you have any more questions!
@@doingdentalschool got it. I misunderstood and I was like that can’t be right hahaha. Thank you for clarifying.
Also how can you assist during undergrad is there a program we have to apply to?
In most states, you don't need any special education to dental assist. You can often reach out to dental offices to see if they would be willing to train you!
Does your GPA matter for dental school?
absolutely!! Good grades are an important part your application to dental school!
@@doingdentalschool thank you so much you have no idea how much your videos are helping me! What would be the best ideal GPA?
The average GPA of accepted dental students is 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale). It would be a good goal to aim right around average, however it is okay to be above or below this number as well!
