I’m so glad I kept emailing epiphone asking for a Taylor Swift line of affordable j-180s as they haven’t made j-180 in ages. These are recreations of Taylor’s custom j-180 guitars for the Eras tour.
You can find my post on the epiphone subreddit, and even my suggested colours. Hilariously on the epiphone website they’re listed in the same order of black pink blue green and purple haha
Oh my! Dud they ever respond???
Did they ever reply?
@@LegsONwell technically I guess they did if they made her custom styled guitar
@@ss-vm7vw Didn't know it's her unique thing.
I love this blue - it's my favorite color though, so I guess I'm that guy. Still prefer my natural Martins
Please do a j200 version demo & compare it too the gibson
Black, red and natural with parallelogram inlays
On my iPhone these guitars sound better than others. Good balance of fundamental and overtones, sparkle, mids, and bass. Others get lost in the recording.
Not my colour, but obviously plays fUntastic! Great guitars!!!
They also come in black.
I wouldn't bet which color any of my grandchildren would want either. The blue is almost a St. PATRICK'S blue. Thanks Quinton and Paul!
Comes in black too.
I just clicked on the link to their website in description of this video. I have to say out the few Epiphones they available for sale without a doubt my choice would be the actual vintage 1944 Zenith for $1,400.
Epiphone did this just because of Taylor Swift . She’s been playing that guitar for years (the Gibson model ) .
It’s not coincidence that they made the same guitar and the same colors she uses on the eras tour .
Inspired by Gibson. Brilliant. I'm playing tonight and I'm going to charge a premium because I'm inspired by Joe pass.
They're not charging premium prices for these.
@@LegsON of course they are. That's the whole marketing angle why else say that?
@@pawlowski6132 Even 3k is not a premium price for American market.
Maybe 5-6k is.
~1500 USD is nowhere near premium.
Love you guys! Love these videos! Every time I need serious Gibson acoustic info for my store (Danville Music), I always come to you guys. Can I ask you guys to do something? I'm sure you're already working on it... but since you are huge lovers of J-200's (Me Too!)... Could you do a video on the new Epiphone Inspired by Gibson Custom Shop 1957 SJ-200?? I'm dying to know what you guys think about it. I want one, but your opinion is super important to me! :) Thanks!
No pickguard? Baby blue and pink?
Black, red, or white in this style would sell
Curious, what does the LS stand for in the model name?
Colored pre war models
I like black
love the Taylor Swift colors
Taylor Swift Colors
Yup! She uses the same Gibson variant in some of her live performances. I wouldn't doubt this is Gibson/Epiphone's way to reach out to her younger fans who want to start playing the guitar. I'm all for it tbh
laurel fretboard ? for 1300?i doubt the value
1300.00 import? hard pass
It does come with all solid wood back and sides plus a nice hardshell case
@@jimicunningableYep, Taylor 100 and 200 series ain't worth it!
Your the same guy that would pay that for a laminate Taylor at the same price haha 😂@@jimicunningable
I saw Taylor swift eras and noticed she was playing this guitar, the Gibson custom shop version probably
Easter colors
Damned with faint praise.
Definitely NOT colors I would purchase. I have a wine red J45. It’s nice but I do prefer traditional finish.
This is maybe the only acoustic body shape/ model from Gibson/Epiphone that I have not played.
Maybe worth a try in traditional finish.
Thank you
I have an Epiphone like this, except mine has f-holes
Damn, watch your language, lady!
@@LegsON f holes are sound holes
Do they make a sunburst Epiphone J-180? Why would they leave it at those 2 colors?
Cause they make natural and sunburnt SJ-200.
"...It plays fine" 🤷♂
Translation: It doesn’t play like a Taylor or Martin. It’s kind of bad!! 😂
I would be embarrassed to say what I really think.
Music Villa must be low on bubble gum or new guitars for material.
😀
Semper Fi
I’m a 44 yo hetero Male, got my eye on the pink one
martin drj sounded better to me back at the shop
I think I'd like it if it, but the colors are a turn off for me...
Ok, Quinton no likey!
Is it just me or does the guy not playing the guitar seem like he has no passion in playing guitar. Seems like in all the other videos your rushing or interrupting dude talking or hurrying up to hand em another guitar instead of letting em finish the riff.
Idk what's with the weird colors on these
I wish Epiphone would do a inspired by Gibson Dove!
Sorry I would never buy one of these colors.
Annoying colors for beautiful tone guitars😅😅
Sound Horrible, nice colours thou
These sound like crap
