- Joanna Wronecka, UN special envoy for Lebanon, has told Sky News the dangers in the region have not gone away and called for calm, wisdom and de-escalation as a matter of urgency.
Sky’s special correspondent Alex Crawford reports from the south Lebanon border.

Not so many years ago, Lebanon was a dream community in the Middle East. Beirut was called the 'Paris of the Middle East'. That was back in the 1970s. A lot has gone wrong since then.

@@koloni2862 I'm not saying anything about Hama's for good reason and I will explain why, here in Britain the IRA committed some terrible acts of terrorism..
The problem is that just like the IRA in Ireland Hama's don't see themselves as terrorists but as freedom fighters for their land back just like the IRA wanted a United Ireland, no one wants to deal with terrorists but the British government did with the IRA together with the Unionists in Northern Ireland and thank God came to a peaceful settlement and it's been holding for over thirty years.
Israel will have to come to a peaceful solution otherwise there will be no end to this conflict but only escalation with more advanced weapons on both sides which will lead to disaster for the Palestinians and the Israeli's.
