Gypsy Jazz Breakthrough Retreat - AMSTERDAM
Come and join me for a unique once in a lifetime experience in one of Europe’s most picturesque and cultured capitals, Amsterdam. Indulge yourself for 4 days & nights with personalized instruction and creative jam sessions designed to inspire breakthroughs whilst removing any doubts or sticking points from your playing. This is not your standard gypsy jazz workshop, but an exclusive, high end and intimate retreat where I will be applying some of my new methods to push you in all areas of your guitar playing. I also want us to work together to bring out your unique voice within the gypsy jazz genre based on your current skill level and guitar playing background.
We’ll be doing it up in style at Kapitein Zeppos located right in the heart of Old Amsterdam. Zeppos is famous for it’s fine dining, beautiful decor and live music and has welcomed some of the major gypsy jazz players from around the world to their stage including Jimmy Rosenberg, Paulus Schaefer and myself. Also host to the ‘Django Amsterdam’ festival, Zeppos is the spiritual centre for Django’s music in The Netherlands and provides an inspiring location for our third Amsterdam breakthrough retreat!
You'll also have plenty of time to discover some of the treasures of Amsterdam including the famous art museums, Anne Frank House, beautiful canals and historic churches which are all in easy walking distance.
I’ll help you prepare for the retreat with a personal Skype coaching session and we’ll set you up with instant access to all the valuable bonus online material so you can start improving right away.

Thank you Robin. You have helped me a lot with your videos and tips ... I had a motorcycle accident when I was 18 and lost the movements in my left hand ... (just like Django :)) But the jazz manouche and his wonderful sonority motivated me to learn to play with just the right hand ... and your classes help me a lot ... Viva Django! Congratulations on your work and dedication!
PS ... I live in Ilhabela - Brazil and Bina Coquet is a mutual friend :) Thank you so much !

Mexico City. Great lesson as always from the megasuperduper generous Robin! This intro is also very suitable for "Je suis seul ce soire". By the way, to me it sounds identical to Louis Amstrong's "When you're smiling". Same notes, same melody. Do you know anything about the similarity? Same tune. It is like Yesterday from McCartney and Bésame Mucho. Same tune, same notes.
