Robbed of a generartional Zion game, if he didn't get injured he would've beat the lakers by himself.
Not sure if "robbed" is the right term. An injury happened, as they usually do when you play in sports. The size and the amount of effort Zion puts in nightly makes him more susceptible. I think he should tone back a bit and work on his jumper. He's shown that this level of competition is probably too much for his body over the long term.
Don’t let the great performance tricks you: Zion won’t get his team to promise-land with such reliance on drive, lack of shot & defensive effort.

I'm not sure how the rules work exactly, but Dinwiddie was unknowingly in his landing space which led to the awkward fall.

I personally feel if Zion had not been on the floor they would have won. I understand that Zion had a good night personally, but the team was bad.
If you look at the spacing issues, Zion allowing the defense to sag off him, combined with him not kicking to the open man; the team as a whole played worse than they normally would.
If I were a coach, I would much rather deal with one player than five. Zion was dominant, but not really. If you look at how Denver uses Jokic then you’ll understand what I’m saying.
Jokic is a problem to defend one-on-one, but he also is a problem when you send help. If you pack the paint on Jokic, he kicking to the open shooter or cutter. Also, they give Jokic room to work. You will not see Jokic in the post and somebody in the dunkers spot.
Zion on the other, was getting his but it hurt the team overall. He would drive with Lebron guarding him and AD in help defense. In all he maybe kicked to the open shooter 3 times. There was even a time when Trey Murphy made a perfectly timed cut to the basket and Zion missed it. He had tunnel vision.
To me, they lost because of coaching tbh. You had two non-shooterss on the floor at all times. That allowed the Lakers to rest on defense. Plus, you weren’t moving the ball so the play was stagnant. You simply can’t beat the Lakers like that.
Now watch the strategy that Den use to beat them. That is how Pels should have played.
I would have used this lineup. CJ, Herb, Trey, BI, and Zion only because you cant bench Zion.

JV was really solid individually on AD while Larry Nance got burned. But Willie Green never trusted him and it’s his panicked pattern to give Larry Nance the type of minutes like he’s an elite center
He had to put Nance in. AD was abusing JV one one one. When the Lakers cause momentum in the first it was because AD was attacking JV and drawing fouls back to back. Also, AD moves his feet well for a big, Nance can move his feet just as well.
One player I wish Green would have trusted was Hawkins. They needed his shooting

Bro the ft differential was not that bad, you have to take the intentional fouls at the end out of the equation. If anything, green should have played his bench even more. Ingram was trash in game 82 and they shouldnt have rushed him back, it killed their momentum. Furthermore we talk about great team defence yet in the first half there are multiple examples where JV, Zion and Ingram are just not focussed enough losing sight of their man, giving up open three. NoLa has a much higher ceiling than the Lakers but they got outhustled and outsmarted.
