03:32 Why History Matters
Shame on all the people who thought that a tradtion Art degree is worthless. This is what I was told in high school by my parent and a teacher when I expressed interest in taking art.
Everything has changed for a lot of us from when we went to school. Are parents grew up in a different environment. The same could be said for people that play video games, now they could make millions.
say it for the people in the back
Ok
History is the most important subject in my opinion. Besides the fact that we all must understand the importance of our origins in order to simply gauge our overall progression; we may also learn from other’s past mistakes as well.
That in itself is a plethora or wisdom that is worth more in weight than gold itself.
The conceptual value of the historical significance can be found anywhere and I appreciate you sharing your perspective of this subject matter with us!
Many thanks and blessings Futur, your channel is doing great things for us.
Much appreciation 🤍🙏🏼🪽
We totally agree! And thank you, we really appreciate the feedback.
opinion was the key word. every topic has its purpose. hbd?
Agreed, learning to interface with and utilize AI will be key for reaching the next level of creativity and productivity. Broad historical contextual knowledge will mark the difference. Distortion crates opportunity. Maybe the time for generalists is nigh?
Just one booboo: "General AI", aka AGI (artificial general intelligence) in computer science refers more to a type of sentient artificial being ("artificial" consciousness), and is considered something completely different than what we today call AI today, which is more of LLM (large language models) and ML (machine learning). Just to clarify
Couldn agree more ! Those who don't know the history are doomed to repeat it!I'm so grateful that you sharing with us such powerful content!
Thank you for being the cornerstone of my journey. I remember being mind blown from your content during the pandemic. You continue to deliver
Excelsior.
Absolute masterclass,
Once again zen.
Always droppin' knowledge.
Wow, cool to see Sylvia Plath mentioned. What a pleasant surprise!
On another note, I recenlty got writing lyrics for a new song. So, I had a conversation with ChatGPT and finished a great song!
"Did IIII just do a commercial!?" - Daddy Warbucks
That sounds a lot like our national hero, writer, linguist, Jose Rizal, of the Philippines. "If we want to look to the future we must revisit the past."
But in his words, translated, it's more like, "who doesn't look to the past is worse than a stinking filthy fish" 😅
As an art and cultural history teacher, I approve of this message! ❤
How rich are you ?
Let's be nice :-)
@@JitubhaiyaPhysics I fall below the general poverty line, if you must know. Ask me again in 3 years. If I live that long, I'll have started my business with a.o. Chris's advice. 👍🏼
@@JitubhaiyaPhysics how about you?
I get it. We ought to learn history in order to have a brighter futur. Good one! I agree.
Ba dum tss
well said
This was great and shows the value of the research, writing, and fact checking skills that we will all have to master to be excellent at using AGI tools. 🤩 This is a really exciting time to be alive. 😀 Thanks a bunch for confirming what I had in mind. 😊👍🏽📚💻📱
Heard about prompt engineering for the first time from my friend and business partner a couple of days back and my interest was piqued. Here I am now with Chris giving out direct advice to get familiar with it. I think the universe has sent me enough signs.
When the universe sends you signs, act on them as quickly as possible.
Roger that!😁 🫡
My Barnes and Noble wish list just got a lot bigger!
I like the message, and it makes sense. I don’t appreciate the sensational title though, there isn’t necessarily a direct correlation between knowing this and becoming rich.
Thanks for the feedback; we're A/B testing the titles. Regarding no correlation to "becoming rich" that was tied in to learning to be a prompt master or prompt engineer, as we see that as a massive market opportunity.
Can you make a video of must have AI toola for designers..
Have you seen this video? czcams.com/video/DyjMYv2aPQ4/video.htmlsi=AAnB-2lKXRuNKDwW
This is awesome! Such a great idea to connect with others and use Ai in a new way 🎉
nice...
Yes a tool like chatgpt is nice to play around with but the humain brain and critical thinking is always key componemt that is impossible dor a machine to add (at least for few years ahead) generative ai tools always start to make up thing when they can't found the answer, there's an esxample of a lawyer how used chatgpt to solve a case and than they discovered that it camp up with evidence and cases that didn't exist in reality. We should learn how to use these machine by as you said isert the right inputs, then we should add your touch which is the critical thinking and problem solving and bom!!
Did you script this with AI Chris?
Good takes on AI.
Now I have to go watch some history videos!
Better get to learning!
Thanks for sharing
I thought of the same as well😊
I just recalled a dialogue from irobot movie. When will smith talk to the hologram. And in the end Dr says. "that detective is the right question". This is true we need to excel at prompt engineering and understanding the history and language surely helps.
Prompt engineering will create massive opportunities!
To understand Future, must learn the past!😁👍🏼👊🏼
Did the title just changed?
Maybe 🤫 we're always testing what do you think?
@@thefutur I actually like the 1st one, but the word "RICH" 🤑 is more intriguing.
Interesting view, yea few times it happened to me that it's difficult to articulate properly what do I want :)
We have been there before! Practice makes better when it comes to prompting.
This video should have way more videos.
We should have way more views or videos?
Thank you.
Great video! 👍🏼
I want to learn logo design from zero, but I don't know from where I start ?
start by searching logo design how to. we have a few videos and a course if your interested.
@@thefutur Where link this course,please
What a refreshing video 👍☕
Glad you enjoyed it What did you like about it so we can make more like this?
Non related comment, your outfit and accessories are on point, T-shirt looks bomb, what brand is it? Asking for a friend.
Vintage All Saints tee
is this the past or the futur
The present. It’s a gift.
I love this point of view
Thank you for this
Amen
yeah problem is that chatgpt will start making stuff up that "sounds good"
Could you give us an example? I know they have been working on fixing a lot of the bugs.
Always double check the facts!
DANG THIS IS FIREEEEEEE
I like Chat GPT for creative process but to LEARN from? At least from my experience it's terrible. It gives more wrong answers than right ones.
To test it just ask about someone you actually know a lot about. Anyone really, anyone famous.
You'll see how many wrong things it says, it's pretty bizarre.
Edit: Obviously that's right now, in the future it'll be insanely useful. Just saying what my experience was with it's current version.
Like anything new to market is going to have some issues, our "job" is to review and moderate the results that we're getting. Like you said, it's only going to get better from here.
Great video
Thanks you, what did you like about it?
@@thefutur I liked the idea that everyone is talking about how ai will replace certain jobs but still it is the human who has to give the prompt and if you don't know the specific prompts (like graphic design terms and concepts) you cannot use ai to beat the experts in that job. So, the important thing is the idea and the knowledge of what is good and what is not. And we can only know all of this if we have the knowledge of Graphic design history and concepts.
Keep it up
I don’t get how this makes money? What am I missing?
Chris is encouraging you to feed into the system to help *them* make money lol. It's a pretty good grift, although Andrew Tate has him beat by miles. But I think Chris can catch up if he gets his cult leader vibes going.
First to comment❤ I love Ai as a topic and The Futur
thanks chris, i love you
You're welcome!
i think you used ai to put this subjeckt xp
this script must also be assisied by AI 😊
Why do you think that??
@@thefutur firstly, chris said he would also use, learn, adapt, ai tools. secondly, the way of this story telling way of presenting, with lots of interesting words, famous names, I just felt it might be from Ai assisted. 😊
Very informative video, thanks to only and only @chrisdo
Nothing new comes from AI.. A real artist wants to create and improve just with skill.. History has lots of examples of Masters with no AI and you should see what real artists can do these days, oh that's right, you do.. Every time you pat yourself on the back for blending other peoples work together for a cost lol. AI art all looks the same or familiar and is really its own extremely cheap and nasty style unless your the creator, then your paying to create the mediocre version of what it could be. Also most AI artists are happy enough with the results but it's never exactly what they imagined or what they wanted, more like a good enough accident. That's the difference in standards you wouldn't know anything about without dedication. Real art is imagination expressed with skill and intention by a human without needing AI to reference someone elses work, which will always be worth more..unless this is the future and you are a robot.. then I would say " I for one welcome our Robot overlords" lol Well done click bait designer.. Please show all the pretenders expecting to get work how to create AI, so they stand out.. And all the cheap companies that use the cheapest boring artwork just because it's cheap, will also stand out lol👏.. The future looks good for real artists.. Hang in there! ✊
Using reference from life, photos, and other artists is common practice without ai. The thing I see is those that can illustrate will be able to alter generations ai produces.
I don’t know who come up with the topic in your team.. I would say they are doing so good job ❤️🩹🔥
