Funny thing about this video. Since I used to work with Starbucks my Spotify playlists somewhat influence the music that plays at whichever Starbucks location I go to. Of course I add a lot of music that is featured on this channel to those playlists. So over ten years after the creation of this video and on the total opposite side of the world, this video directly caused Dance Dance Dance by Chic to play for everyone in Starbucks' across northern Japan.
Thanks for this!!! I was planning to do a road trip from Detroit to Duluth in a few months...and now I have a better idea of what the hell I'm doing lol
The signs are there a mile ahead of the exit and it's much safer by way of eliminating weaving with the new 316 traffic coming in on the right as opposed to the old configuration where it came in on the left. The new interchange made everything light years better in terms of safety and accessibility all the way around IMO.
Not that I am aware of. I'm not touching the camera at all, I just turn it on, hit record and let 'er rip until I'm done, then it's one button to stop recording.
I like your videos I think this is the closest I'm going to get to visiting ATL.... I like their roads, it looks like they keep them up so unlike California...
It was supposed to be upgraded to a Toll Road with no at-grade intersections but that got killed some time back. There are no plans to upgrade it that I am aware of.
Only complaint I have about that interchange is that u CANNOT get to pleasant hill unless ur coming off of 316. Unless I missed something. I used to live down there. But its very nice. GA is pretty good at making interchanges, but they need to drop the highway attitude. Cant live without a car
All Triborough Bridge-Tunnel Authority facilities have signs restricting the use of cameras. I'm not sure how the general public would react to seeing me ride around with a camera either.
Colector/Distrib. Lanes, aka "Local" lanes. I've seen these on the 401 in Toronto, the 1/9 and the Turnpike in Jersey, the 271 in Cleveland, and maybe on the 35W in Minneapolis. They must've done this to Atlanta's roads just in recent years.
Not true. You can get to pleasant hill from I-85 South, the exit is about 2 miles farther back than it used to be (before 316) as it's now part of the C/D network. Watch the videos closely on the I-85 south sections. Drop the highway attitude you say? right or wrong, most people in the suburbs don't want anything to do with MARTA. Atlanta, like most sunbelt cities is driven by sprawl, that's just the way it is.
What should that with the HOV? Whats the difference between 1 or 2 people in the car and whats the punishment? I heared these days about a driver with a doll as a passenger at the HOV.
With today's technology the "middleman" (Who has always been a parasite) is really unnecessary - let us download and purchase music directly from the artist(s)!
@drunkinpainter666 That's not a bridge to nowhere, it's an overpass carrying a ramp from GA-120 to I-85, it was a designed part of the project.
I love how you repeat like back and forward

Amen brother!
Hey freeway I really love your videos of the atlanta area. I really love the Freeway system down there it make driving so much fun.
I really like the songs that you put on the videos.
They are there, 113 videos strong.
@chapman3475 Thank you, I appreciate that!
Wow that's like an everyday video of my driving life, I'm always up and down that road
@LorenzoMoore1000: Thanks, yeah ATL has a really good system, HOT lanes may be on the horizon too.
Drive through Atlanta last Sunday right under the Spaghetti bowl on I75. It was pretty awesome to see even at night.
Thank You, The videos are shot/edited at 720x480 and FCP format in Final Cut Express 4, youtube does a real number on the quality :P

I've done that many times.

It's a matter of going there, you know; time, money.

I would if I happened to be passing through Wichita with all my camera gear, but I have no idea when that will be.
Freewayjim that was exit 104 pleasant hill road. Not exit 106 pleasant hill road.
Thats what I mean. You cant access Pleasant Hill in a traditional manner. Its much to far up if you arent coming from that direction.
if you stop were the video is at 1:07 i live down the road i live in the reserves of sugerloag cause thats sugerloaf road
I use this interchange at least twice a month. :o)
Oh yes, I KNOW it improved that. I hated going either direction during the rush HOURS of GA. So yes it did that very well. But I'll leave it at that

Too many restrictions in NYC, not the place to ride around with a Camera.
Nice drive, Jim.
Very high quality image.
Just curious...what size and format do you render your videos in?

Why won't Georgia stop with these stupid stoplight wires fix them with metal poles instead.
