Time saving and cleanliness is the point , and also leaving the really crappy residue at the bottom of the sump.

@@middlecovemotors2474 Time saving is BS ! Looks like you need to adapt/modify every car with a $100 drain plug so you drain oil on to take the quick connector, by the time you set the pump up and connect it to your sump plug your time saving has gone, If you do a engine oil drain with the engine oil hot it leaves no residue in the sump anyways................ Another expensive tool that will be chucked at the back of the garage after its 1st use......... $ 1300 for the pump ..............you have been drinking.

So once you have adapted the car for use it would be time saving, don't be so aggressive. I'm sure there are positives and negatives to every gadget out there.
I can imagine for fleet vehicle use it would good. Not true about oil temp and residue, it's the shape of the sump.@@larrysimon1

Larry, it might not be attractive to you, but it is very attractive to those offering mobile service, whether it's at a dealership level or fleet accounts. We have sold many of these units to both dealers who service their sold vehicles and independent companies who service Amazon trucks/vans.
