I was at the shop when you guys were pulling the stacks off this truck and getting it ready to ship it to the customer. I wanted to thank Steve taking the time to shake my hand and say hello before getting to work.

As a pipeliner myself, I've used 10" pipe to make the stack on my work truck (I miter cut it to look cooler) I left the old beat up green coating on it and it turns heads everywhere. This is way cooler than mine though lol.
DOT will pull you in the chicken house just to get a better look themselves. Not my style but the amount of detail and work is amazing.
I live near Cappello's shop and can wait to see this thing blowen smoke rippen down 85 or rt9!

Damn, that is one hell of a Rat Rod Pete 359. Could have had a '79 Pete 359 but my step-dad sold it to a guy out of Wyoming and I haven't seen it in a while. Love the work done on that 400 Cummins as well. Now I have to get some ideas for my '03 Freightliner Classic XL.

Someone here in OK runs a matte black cabover daycab with a extended frame. Damn thing looks like it belongs in a MadMax movie. As a gal who loves cabovers it steals my attention every time I see it. Something about the matte/weathered look is beautiful. Probably because it's complementary to the do or die nature of the trucking industry. I do love the asthetics of this truck, but it'll never work another day in it's life. It'll be a happy retirement though going to the truck shows.

I watch this show every week, I'm a car guy, Harley guy, and I have built my own choppers so I get the rat rod thing but lately it seems like they have been sorta left the reservation and just sorta ruined some cars. That carnival car for example was just stupid. Also, the one that had rose buds welded all over the place completely went over my head. Not trying to hate but sometimes I get the feeling he is just throwing shit at the wall to see what sticks and then laughs about it off camera.

Sounds about right.. regulations, OHS and the included paperwork are slowly killing us.

But we chose that life when we decided to haul 80,000+ on open road. It's too often I see drivers complain about dot and then I see their truck and it's barely held together with half the shit rusting off and so on.
The Gaming Trucker Yeah I hear you. But I was referring to the fact people in the US are still allowed to build creative out there vehicles like the one above and legally have it on the road. In other parts of the world eg Australia everything has to be factory standard or very close to it. Customisation would involve a ton of paperwork and for the most part is not worth the hassle. Hence "creativity'" etc is not encouraged.

When I was a kid, my grandfather ran about 10 - 15 trucks hauling steel. When he bought a truck he'd tell me to cut the stack down to the top of the cab just for that reason
