2nd flush of some Jack Frost mushrooms spawned from Uncle Ben's brown rice bags 🍄 Harvest Ready! ☃️🚐

- I thought I would try not using a liner this round, but definitely have a problem with side pinning. Back to CVG and liners on the next round of spawning. These Jack Frosts are still looking a little wonky on this second flush, colours are a bit dark. Not sure if it's a fae thing or humidity, but still getting some decent fruits.

had 3.5gram of Jack Frost on March 30, 2024. I didn't think they would be that damn strong! Yikes! Such an amazing trip! Learned a lot from it as well. Hopefully one day I want to start growing magic mushrooms as well!

When is the best time to harvest Jack Frost. Other strains it says to harvesr when the veil tears before the cap opens but... I dont think its true for these guys. When do the spores drop on this strain?
Agreed, they don't seem to drop spores. I've been pulling them after they open up and flatten a bit, doesn't seem to be any rush to get them, but I also don't think there is much to be gained by letting them run long, other than they look cool LoL

What temperature are you fruiting at? I am in fruiting conditions now but they seem to be growing VERY slowly staying in the low 70 degree F range. This is only my second grow. Any advice is appreciated.
These ones were high 70s to low 80s. They def seem happier when I'm more in the low to mid 70s. One thing I've found is these Jack Frost seem to do better with more c02 build up, so on newer totes I've been keeping them sealed up until they start getting close to harvest.

This tub was kinda strange, I think they actually merged with some old Trinity mycelium in my old substrate bucket and made a hybrid. Other more recent totes of JF I've done have been very white but bruise blue super easily.
