You get synergies as soon as you qualify. Some require leveled accessories(based on observations in my own games and watching Stumpt). There is a Main menu option for round robin chests and synergies will even override the round robin order. From the Wiki: "In the case of Infinite Corridor, Crimson Shroud, Sole Solution, and Ashes of Muspell, all related passive items must also be fully leveled." and scrolling down in the wiki DLC items are not in the list, in fact all DLC items require fully upgraded accessories to synergy.

From the wiki: "The name Santa Water is the purposely wrong translation of Holy Water in Italian, 'Acqua Santa'." I've heard the game is just full of Italian language jokes.

Many of the names are puns in Italian, such as tiragisu combining tiramisu with jesus/resurrection or the red character with a cross on his chest's name mixing the words for crucified and fried.

Isn't it only half the rings and half the metaglio that increases your difficulty? The other one also has positive effects. So the silver ring supercharges your weapons for example, the gold ring just buffs your curse (Which also supercharges some weapons).

It didn't upgrade because you didn't have your pummarola maxed out, both items need to be maxed to evolve! @Wanderbots

to note: I think this applies to basically only and all the DLC weapons, the vanilla weapons get evolved with only 1 level of the secondary item, only the weapon needs to be maxed out.
For the DLC weapons (four seasons, staff of healing, etc.) it requires you to get BOTH items maxed :)

13:40 the closest thing to this that i know of right now is the splinter cell multiplayer where one team is the typical spys you play throughout the game that sneak and have tricks and such try to hack objectives by essentially playing hide and seek capture the flag while the other side is the mercenary's that have heavy ordnance, mines and "bad guy" technology that lets them win straight out firefights while they have to protect the capture points and seek out the spys

All the new weapons from the DLC's require max of both weapon and support item for their evolutions.
Besides that you can't get evolutions before 10mins I belive it was.

You can alternatively get higher than normal max level on an item with the map set items

Can you? as far as I know, once you get the item maxxed the rest of the map items disappear.

@@Jonjon13Jonjon13 they did as of the patch i was playing on two weeks ago, guess it may have been a bug, but it also used to be a thing all the way through the early days of the game (i did take a big break) so i thought that was just normal.
