Check out how much fouling affects accuracy. Using the Pietta 1851 in a Ransom Rest to help eliminate shooter errors. Testing first with FFF GOEX and then a non-fouling substitute powder. Results seem to show noticeable improved accuracy when fouling is reduced. We cleaned between each shot in the last string; not practical of course for most shooting, only to see if there was a noticeable difference.
