The zeebruge morse code actually plays randomly without being on the tower as long as you have the Infiltrator pickup, it's just far more subtle and quiet.
It's surreal to see part of the South Netherlands being featured in a Battlefield map. I legit thought the dogtag solver's Zeebrugge thumbnail was just personalized ads doing their thing what with TBAG being Dutch.

Often dataminers can discover the individual spots where each step of the Easter egg is progressed through, by looking at coding associated with various interactables, but the community still dedicates a massive amount of time to figuring out what exactly you have to do to progress it. If you watch a channel called OddHeader and his various videos on video game Easter eggs, you can see how knowing the code associated with an Easter egg doesn't mean it's solved.

Honsetly I have no clue how they do it... the chances that someone finds this out just by randomly doing thing seems not possible to me...
Imagine if the spooky sounds in the process, and the smokes timings/patterns were a part of even deeper easter egg than this one, and its soo secret that even devs forgot it exists.
Easter eggs in games are the best thing, but some easter eggs are over the top complicated.
This was the only Battlefield easter egg I ever completed, and I must say that it was well worth it. The whole process was fun, though very annoying. The Peacekeeper is also very worth the trouble.

The coolest part was once after I unlocked the peacekeeper, one guy messaged me after I shot him with it and said he was honored to have been killed by that gun. We had a nice conversation and I wished him luck getting it himself. Cool interaction over such a cool Easter egg.

3:24
1:26 “Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori” is actually Latin for “It is sweet and honourable to die for the fatherland”, and this phrase originated from Rome by a lyric poet named Horace in the Odes written by him. This line was then popularised in World War 1 where everyone was very patriotic about fighting in the war, only to have their expectations ruined and lied to as the reality and horrors of war hits them. Another poem was written by Wilfred Owen in the war and published shortly after in 1921 (when he sadly didn’t get to see it published) titled “The old lie: Dulce et decorum est pro patria mori” describing exactly those horrors of war, changing many minds and opinions on warfare.

This is, in my opinion, the best easter egg ever made in the game and given to us by the old DICE devs. Searching for places, recording clips on a flash drive from the console and uploading to the Mors alphabet program on PC to finally get a revolver! When I play BF1 I always have it as a secondary weapon 💪
Tip for tunnels: Stand on the rocks/dirt near the lever you pull, so you stay behind when the trap door opens. the game will teleport you and you will end up taking less damage than if you would have were you to fall weird. 1:22 nicely done bro w/that plug. 👍🤣
Ironically I think this gun has one of the slowest draw speeds of any pistol. As a result it's pretty bad at most of the stuff you'd typically use a sidearm for, so I think this gun is better used as essentially your primary weapon most of the time. It's fun to use it on assault with the frommer auto, because your primary and secondary roles basically switch
I've had the Peacekeeper for several years now and, although I no longer play, I never had any issue with draw speed. Hell, I shot down an airplane with mine.
@@GreatNinjaman well anti air doesn't exactly fall into the "typical sidearm use" category I was talking about. I mainly use sidearms for when an enemy is outside my primary's effective range, an enemy pops up too close for my primary, or as a finisher when my primary mag runs empty, and for those uses the peacekeeper definitely suffers due to the long draw animation
@@arcadeinvader8086 And all I'm saying is, it's plenty effective as a sidearm despite the draw. Especially with the headshot multiplier.
@@GreatNinjaman And I'm not saying it's ineffective, just saying there are better options for the typical sidearm role. If you lead with it instead of swapping to it yes it's one of the better options in that slot.

I LOVED the grind (with the exception of the mission at the Chateau). It really was the best easter egg in Battlefield and it was more fun unlocking the Peacekeeper than the Bow in BF4
Completely agree, especially with the comment about the chateau. Unnecessarily tedious, it didn’t require skill. And multiple times some dumb idiot ruined my progress. Or when the weather didn’t line up. Was only possible when it was foggy.
I had a griefer screw my progress up too, never underestimate what a pathetic loser with too much free time can do
Yea the chateau was just unnecessary
The bow in BF4 only required picking it up on that jungle map Outbreak. As easy as any other battlefield pickup kit.
@@Guillotines_For_Globalists well idc about that shortcut. I meant the completion of the Phantom programm with all the dogtags and weaponskins
I did this on PS4 with my phone and a Morse code app. My god what a glorious grind. The Soisson floor puzzle was insane.

Do they get support by the Devs or meaningful hints?
Data mining and trial & error
I managed to unlock this a couple of years ago. Some challenges i had to on Japanese empty servers (particularly the chateau puzzle - "A Conflict" dogtag ), since in Europe i always had problems with other people joining in and ruining my stuff - even at highly unusual hours. Nowadays it should be easier to find a quiet place to do the challenges, as people moved on to other games.
Honestly surprised they still host servers for this game, haven't thought about it in years.

Congrats. Personally I found that light floor puzzle the most difficult. I would use it more but the equip time tends to get me killed more than anything.
I noticed that mashing the fire button while drawing it gets it out faster
I gave up with that puzzle. I looked up guide after guide on how to do it and still couldn’t figure it out. I got close as hell one time but fucked it up by one light and couldn’t get it back on.

For anybody wondering, the Latin at the start of the video (roughly) translates to “How sweet and fitting it is to die for your country”.
3:25 Calm Down 💀
Those shrieks at Caporetto after you unlock that particular dogtag made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. And man, that task in the Chateau at Soissons trying to get all the lights on the floor to match up was crazy time consuming. I have some videos on my channel detailing my quest to unlock the Peacekeeper too.
The peacekeeper is so hard to get because the creators want you to experience the endless futility and vanity of WWI yourself.
Yes, but what about the ostrich?
I think they want you to experience what it's like to bring some women to orgasm
They also call you "SIMPS"
Like, seriously? Right in front of my peacekeeper?
Love how there's just a massive "SIMPS" message on the floor next to the peacekeeper 😂
This puzzle is even more fun when you are in the game with headphones on and your just shoot them randomly
Really wish I had the patience to do this, way to go dude!
Personally I think the only one that requires patience is the sandbag puzzle, and perhaps putting in some of the longer number sequences. If you decide to try the grind at some point you'll be able to do it easily, I believe in you.
Congratz! I loved doing the second part (the mansion/chateau puzzle) for the Peacekeeper so much that I did not even mind when a random came and screwed it up, making me go over. Did it like 6 times or so (also for a friend included), everytime had a blast with it. The best Easter Egg in BF, hell even in gaming probably. If only the actual devs were this great in game-making we would not have got that 2042 wreck.
It’s the most difficult one in my opinion
@@thijsweijters1065 it is, but I would also say that it is also the most enjoyable/rewarding one because of this. Since it makes you really think and you need to calculate it, after a time you will see a clear pattern behind it, every correct click makes it feel really like you are unravelling a secret. At first it feels difficult, but once you get the pattern down, it is relatively straightforward. Still the most difficult, but also rewarding of them though.
@@mordraug i liked the one with Morse code better, because my great grandpa worked with morsecode in the First World War in Austro-Hungary. I know Morse code too so it makes it fun to uncode it yourself

It is just impossible, that someone found out about all these tricks on his own. There had to be some sort of leak from the developers' side (intentional or not). Can't believe how abysmal is the difference between the developers of these beautiful BF games and that bunch of new BF. :-D
At 03:25, It was so hilarious that I was about to die because of laughing. Don't watch it while eating or drinking 😂😂
The Censoring is what gets me the most
The true beauty of the Peacekeeper is not the damage, but the accuracy. It's the best pistol to use at range. Headshots are common when you really start to abuse it.
I found a group of guys who've run this hundreds of times just helping random people get it. Fucking love those guys.
i remember being one of the first people to unlock the compound bow in bf4. i went into the empty/no-kill servers where people were farming the things you needed for it to get my kills for my headshot skin for it XD. got to prevent other people from getting it, and thus making it less cool, while also making them rage that they were getting killed by the thing they were struggling to get. me and my group of friends got all our stuff and did the final puzzle on normal servers during actual matches lol
When I was trying to do this I got to the Zeebrugge morse code part and could not do it. Then some random dude from the Battlefield Eastern Egg team happened to join my lobby and helped me do it. Could not have done it without him. Don't know where you are man, but thank you so much.
Congrats! Now rank every bf1 worst to best video from worst to best
I've been contemplating doing this. It's extremely time-consuming, even with others already solving the puzzles. The nerds who figured it out are the true legends. BF1 is still my favorite game of all time, and I still play it whenever I have the time. As the game ages and the player base shrinks, I get killed by the peace keeper more often...
Man, you don't know how grateful I am right now! THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
