Welcome back, Richest fans! When someone is rolling in cash, they tend to hire some extra protection when venturing out in public. That’s when a bodyguard comes in. Their main role is to keep the client safe from all possible threats. But how does that role entail exactly? And how can someone get such a role? Well, those questions and more will be answered in today’s video. We’ll see what it takes to be a Close Protection Officer, what training is needed, and the salary that comes with guarding bodies. We’ll also see how to be involved with the Secret Service in protecting the US Presidents.
Now for the spoiler paragraph. If you like surprises, we suggest you stop reading and watch the video multiple times. Firstly, we’ll see what a bodyguard does exactly. How they’re often former military, and before they know it, they’re working with Benedict Cumberbatch. We’ll see all the facts and features that the role contains. Next is the bodyguard training. Over in the United Kingdom, they have the Security Industry Authority that hand out licenses. While in the United States, there’s not as many formal qualifications, but a lot of cost when it comes to courses! Speaking of, we have the salary. Due to the unusual working hours, potentially, bodyguards could make a fortune. We’ll then see what it takes to be a Special Agent in the Secret Service. Finally, we’ll briefly look at perhaps one of the richest bodyguards in the world who was in charge of the safety for former Malawi President, Peter Mutharika.

I worked for 15 years as a dignatary protection agent for embassies that didnt have their own security details, usually smaller countries in south and central america. I like that this video tells the truth, we always said that celebreties hire huge men because of crowd control. However those of us in the business of actual protection have to deal with real threats of bodily harm and thats why size doesnt always matter in this job.

8:24 Did the video say, "$1500 a month?" that's not very much money. Did they mean, "$15,000 a month?" That's more significant and more in-line with the idea of being the "wealthiest paid bodyguard"
No it was $1500/month but had 2.2 Million dollars in assets! I wonder where he got all the extra cash from!?🤔
@@Therichest I'm pretty sure that wasn't in the stock market! 🤣🤣🤣
When I worked for Academi in 2009 I was earning £3000 per week so around £2700 after deductions, pension, insurance plus equipment and clothing. So around £6800 every 28 days.

Well no matter how strong u get a 9mm can still kill u lol
Thanks for giving the costs/wages involved for a body guard in both pounds and dollars! Who does that?
As a former bodyguard....I want to be called a bodyguard. I did 8 years in this line of work and honestly there’s very little training needed. Firearm, close quarter combat, and being diversified in types of languages. The rest is common sense and gut feeling. Size doesn’t matter bc I’m 6’7 295lbs and my 3 other partners were under 6’1.
I think, based on your post, you are screaming "i'm the bodyguard with your entire body." So if i wanted to go in ghost mode, you are not the guy. A bouncer would be suiting you more. The guy at the door you respect.
@@paggavanslaan4436 lol people like you are laughable. Go back to being a keyboard warrior and let the men who’ve done the real world experience/work talk 😘
I was associate's with individuals less then 6' 3'' in Manhattan, new York city
@@thisdic10 it’s all kinds of different individuals.....but it all comes down to how you perform
@@paggavanslaan4436 My exact thoughts. I am currently in this line of work and theres a lot more to be said about dynamic driving, soft skills/de escalation, and the large amount of "low profile" or covert work. There's actually a large amount of training needed to run transport jobs for HNWI's as well. Surveillance, advances, and a certain amount of PI knowledge will take you much further. My guess is, he was lucky enough to land a job or two and now brags about it.
Takes a very special human being to do this job.
Your content is amazing 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Cr7 goat
There must be so much completion for high end positions given all the highly trained military vets returning with hella skills and combat experience etc
If they have to be retrained not to run TOWARD a threat but away from it, it seems that hiring a civilian who has martial arts, firearms, driving, and security skills he got from training courses would be better. No need to retrain them.
@@MaharlikaAWA you can take all the training courses in the world. If you have actually engaged in armed combat… you can’t get that in a school. If you have never been tested..most people will run away or freeze
@@golferpro1241 so basically everyone who joins the Army who has never trained in armed combat will freeze. Logic

Title of Video: Billionaire bodyguards
A guy was paid $15 HUNDRED as in $1500 a month yet he had 2.2 million dollars? How does that work?
usually all your expenses are paid for when your a personal bodyguard, mean housing, food and travel are all included.
In the UK you get from 180£ (more likely) up to 300£ if u lucky p/d. If u travel abroad with the client up to 500£ p/d

Thank you for the update, TheRichest..!! Wow, the rich people are paying a lot of money for the bodyguards..!! 🤣
So basically a a mini version of secret service except less intense
Thank you for the video .A body guard is a body guard no fancy job names .I think it all depends on their client if it’s a good job or not .
More bodyguard, security videos please.
I’m a bodyguard, I paid a lot for my course in the uk plus there’s other costs involved. Sia license, etc.
What type of work are you doing with this license?
Not a bad little docu. Pretty on point. I would question the rates of pay though, especially in the UK.
I have a good Friend was a Bodyguard along with his Cousin for a Very Prominent Family based out of Grand Rapids Michigan. He told me He has actually been to every Country in the World. Also was at the Olympics when they were in Beijing, China. He was Sitting in the Stadium in Beijing with a PK-7 Fully Automatic with Several Mags just in Case.
Bodyguards are definitely not low paid crappy jobs. They make more money than many managers and corporate departmental directors.
Nice for u to include the bodyguard show on the video
without going into what i did, i used to work in a very dangerous city as a tactical specialist. Don't ever think size and strength is not a plus when dealing with protection details. Most people who think that never had to fight for your own gun or grapple on the ground. These guys never really get into any trouble so they are a bit ignorant when it comes to fighting for your life on the street.
Ok..no more saying bodyguard.. Protection Security Specialist..but what a mouthful!😂😂
if i could id have joe pescie as my body guard. "personal protection specialist"

so who can giveme the simple guidance of where to start ... i have a HSE bachelor and i am a anxiety aware of surroundings
As an ex semi pro security guard myself, i can confirm this is a gun disguised as an umbrella, unfortunately my security career ended after minding Daniel Bedingfield up in scunthorpe.
