    One of the hardest things about learning is understanding how the different components work together. Using this guide, you start with a topic that interests or relates to you. At the end of the section, other related topics are shown allowing you to pick and choose your own path to DevOps mastery.
    Check it out and leverage the skills you learn to advance your career as a developer, sysadmin, IT Operations, QA and more!

    Awsome vid. Was confused before as to what networking concepts i needed to tackle for my dev ops journey. This helps big time

    Love it. Understanding of ports/firewalls 20% 👌👍✔

    Hey, great video! I'm aiming and working for devops currently and your channel helps me a lot. I'd like to suggest to put some graphics/text on whatever you are explaining. It helps a lot.

    At 1:44 when you speak of subnet masks allowing you to know who is in your neighbourhood....
    Are you referring to broadcast domains?
    Great content as per!

    • @DevOpsForDevelopers
      @DevOpsForDevelopers  Před 2 lety +1

      If I recall correctly, a broadcast domain operates on Layer 2. I was referring to IP addresses (layer 3). An IP address of 10.0.0.10/24 (or 10.0.0.10 with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0) will be on the same network as any other devices with an IP address from 10.0.0.1 - 10.0.0.254

      The subnet mask plays an important part in determining if 2 hosts are part of the same broadcast domain. Pretty much the subnet mask will tell you if 2 hosts belong to the same network. If they don't, you need a devices with routing capabilities to transmit packets between those networks.

    Please make a vidoe on render vs devops

    • @DevOpsForDevelopers
      @DevOpsForDevelopers  Před 2 lety +1

      Render is a product, devops is a way of doing things. Think of it like driving: driving (devops) is what you do, mercedes - bmw - toyota (like Render) is a tool for doing it.

    Hi ! , greet video i have just a point to ask about is knowing stuff in CCNS and CompTIA is required in devops or just like you said some stuff to know.

    • @DevOpsForDevelopers
      @DevOpsForDevelopers  Před rokem +1

      Full certification isn't necessary, but both have concepts you'll need to be familiar with.

      @@DevOpsForDevelopers will I need to know about routers and switches configuration details ?

    • @DevOpsForDevelopers
      @DevOpsForDevelopers  Před rokem +1

      Depends on where you work. I would suggest familiarity with what they are, what they do, and how they are used, along with a solid understanding of networking fundamentals. If you have that, you'll be in a position where you can add new skills as needed.

    Is this enought networking to learn for devops or is there more networking related to devops that we need to focus on?

      You’ll keep learning throughout your career and it’s not possible to learn everything before starting

    What about CCNA? You passed this exam?

    • @DevOpsForDevelopers
      @DevOpsForDevelopers  Před 2 lety +1

      No, never took the exam (but have been working with networking since token ring was the best network available). If you’re really interested in pursuing networking as a career, CCNA is a great cert to have. Not sure if there are more modern networking certain available
