I've watched SO MANY videos about rebuilding this carb, but none of them showed how to take apart the power valve except this vide. Thank you so much! I thought my plunger was put in wrong, but it wasn't. Thank you for the video.....

So what is the hose barb that looks like a vacuum hose connection on the back of the top for?
Ive got an 88 4.3 that boggs down past about half throttle. If you accelerate it will speed up like normal for a few seconds and then bog back down and continue to surge. Just replaced fuel hose, and fuel filter before running this year and gas should be fresh. I'm thinking since it speeds up for a few seconds it's not the ignition or timing. Would it most likely be a carburetor or fuel pump issue?
