This a w because it forces people that wanna play MUI Goku to play other lower tiers so that everyone will have to learn many different characters in order to be rank up in the game. Makes the skill gap higher and it’s more fun for balancing. You can strategize to take down their strongest fighter instead of their team being all busted and waiting for a patch.
i agree, i dont wanna be caught in the cycle of nerfs and buffs that inevitably kill most games in the long run. if they have faith in this method being better for the longevity of online im all for it

Ideal would be UI Goku Gogeta Vegito or UI Goku Adult Gohan and ss2 Trunks. Basically UI Goku all the time.

@@righteousone5119 either way I'm using MUI in every build maybe swap with Ultimate Gohan and Ultra Ego Vegita if he's a playable character
Honestly I like this a lot because this way online ranked is more fair and open for anyone to get good at it instead of people just spamming the most broken characters like they do in xenoverse
yep! and we (the players and the dev team) dont gotta worry about a patch every 2 months
Solid way to do the balancing. This means they are balancing more geared around the team battle aspect rather than 1v1. Has it's pros and cons but ultimately with a roster THIS big you really either have to create a super homogenized roster(where everyone plays exactly the same) and be super boring or create "tiers" like how Pokemon does. Which is basically the DP system. It would be cool if you could further edit how matches could be set up. For example "DP 10 but no one character over DP 5" kind of thing. Perhaps for tournaments. Either way, I'm maining Raditz. Idc if he's middle of the pack or not. I will have people put respect in his name(If I do not suck lol)

Dragon Ball sparking zero gets more hype by the day the game will blow the internet as long as the Mechanics are balanced all important characters are present and the DLCs are done well
I’m also guessing that the higher the transformation the higher the cost, which might incentivize people to choose the base form of a character and transform/fuse in game

For rank they could change the cost of characters over time
Gotta get real good with Devilman if he’s in the game. If the point system is similar to bt3 he’ll cost like 2-3 points. If we’re able to see our opponents team while choosing characters I’ll throw him on the roster for those all evil character teams.

So it’s the same balancing as burning blood?? Where op characters are gonna cost a lot but you can’t go into a full team of them forcing you to have weak characters at the start and the op character as your anchor
the mui or the incomplete ui could be a technic or transformation
I think Cost for multi player mode makes sense
Insted of DP, They should balance the online ranked matches the way storm games are balanced and put the characters all on one health bar like the storm games.

I hope the team cost is only in ranked, would be great to be able to do whatever in casual because tbh I’d love to roll up with a team of the weakest characters and be up against a team stacked with ui goku blue Vegito and gogeta whis and broly. Oh the disrespect that could be shown
I'm hyped
I think it's a wonderful idea. People will be picking their favourites across "tiers" of power and build the rest of their teams around it. It will allow for a good deal of strategy as well (do you want a bunch of moddle of the packs, or do you want to bring in a couple of heavy hitters and fill in the last spot with Hercule?). We might see tournaments being won by the likes of a Saibaman or Yamcha, as parts of teams with someone like Beerus or Gogeta, and I think that's wonderful.
No patches to OP characters please!! I want Beruus and Whis to feel way stronger then Krillin
It is good in story mode, not in competitive mode.. if i want to play crillin because i love him, im gonna get destroyed by everyone in ranked mode? Hell no. This need to be skill based

I really wish they would’ve just balanced characters
someone else jsut left a really good comment on this pretty much letting us know they wanna focus more around the team battle aspect of this game instead of 1v 1 and this is probably the most efficient way to think about a potentially 200+ character roster and balancing in the far future
It's a dragon ball. If you know a way to balance someone like Chiaotzu against someone like Jiren or any fusion, by all means. Maybe something in the custom character could help mitigate it but hey, watch me eat those words
