Probably it would be better, however you'll need to get every tiny bit of air out of there, which is very hard to do, and then getting it clean enough soldered. Way to complicated. And also I doubt that it'll be good for the cpu. Removing the heatspreader from the cpu is much more efficient than soldering two large metal plates together.
