Sleep rolls in the grave Oh how we stayed how you never Up and wake But you hide in your cellars Brewing thoughts to make you drunk and you wait For your profits to come Well for you well I hope they do So your seat's in the den Darkness imbeds and you know Only one thing is clear Only ghosts will be Only ghosts will be Harvest this year
The cover of the empty northern hemisphere is one of my favorite album covers ever, but in another sense the guy on the cover looks like marty huggins from the campaign
Great song, however it literally sounds exactly like rolling sea by vitever. Music even down to the inflection of the voice. Really would love to know who ripped who.
It's off this, which as far as I can tell is out of print, as it isn't even referenced on his web site: www.allmusic.com/album/rust-colored-stones-mw0000321998
One of several songs on this album that deserve to be rewritten vocally. Great guitar parts on this and 'morning lady' but both songs are dragged down by the crappy vocal lines. A real bummer. He's capable of writing way better melodies that aren't generic like this
I could not disagree more wholeheartedly. One of the biggest draws to Gregory are his amazing, flawless lyrics. Hearing interviews from him (and obviously from his songs), each word is carefully placed with deep, definite meaning. I will honestly say that in my opinion, he’s the greatest lyricist in history and currently. His wonderful lyrics are accompanied by his gorgeous voice and music.
Found this song at the end of the documentary "Where The Yellowstone Goes". I'm now a Alan Isakov fan! Beautiful music!
Great album 👏👏👏😊😊😊
Beautiful song,again and again

@@nicolel.2398I wasn't commenting on the lyrics
mackhomie6 oh my gosh I’m so dumb. I thought that was what vocal lines meant.
@@nicolel.2398 it's ok : ) I could have been more clear
