Flight attendant school helped a lot of people especially older people. They help them with resumes, interviews and so much more. Great video new subbie
thank you so much! ♥
Thank you so much for all the information! I’d love for you do a video leading to how you go hired, especially resume wise and how to get customer service experience if you don’t it already on your resume.
These videos are so helpful! You’re the best!
thank you! 💙🥹
Thank you for these videos you have answered so many questions! I’ve been wanting to become flight attendant but wasn’t sure if I needed to go to flight attendant school or something
good! im so glad to help, thank you for watching ♥
Ahh I have always been interested in a flight attendant career, love how informative this video is! My sister worked at an airline and got free flights for herself and my parents, so many great benefits and opportunities to travel as well! New subscriber here, can't wait to see more content :)
thank you so much for watching! ♥️ it truly is a great job!
i love how open and straight forward you are! I am 18 years old, wanting to be a flight attendant for either Delta or American Airlines. I am doing a little research to gain a little knowledge about this career. I think its so cool you guys get free room and board for the relocation training, with me being so young that was definitely one of my worries. Thank you so much 🤍 What age did you start? and what airline do you work for?
Same am 18 and i love traveling i think i wanna do this too
ive seriously considered wanting to become a flight attendant since ive had some friends do it - there's so many perks with traveling, deals, friends, experiences but oof idk if I could do the intense training! but it def looks like so much fun to make flight attendant friends to travel and work with
Hi Kelly I've seen a couple of your videos I really enjoyed I like your personality and you're every pleasant take care and stay safe🙏❤
that's so nice of you to say 🥰 thank you so much!♥
😆 “like they do in everything!”
Great video! ❤️
thank you!! 🥰
What do they look for in the assessment before the interview?
Good Morning! I'm considering being a flight attendant for united. I'm 38. Is there a age restriction to be a flight attendant? Also, if im required to relocate how much time will they allow me to transition?
I need help to prepare for video interview that's not with a live person. I did one and bomb it. So nervous for another application i applied with a different Airlines.
This video was so helpful! I’m interested in flight attendant career and was wondering when they relocated you to the base in a different state, do they pay for the flight from home to that base?
yes they do. they will make sure you have a flight to any and everything for company business.. if you decide to live away from base, then it would be your responsibility to get to work but other than that, they got you! thanks for watching ♥️
Thank you for all this information!! I recently just submitted my virtual interview with an airline so 🤞🏾🤞🏾. I do have two questions for you: Which airline do you work for? And two: Are you able to commute once hired rather than having to relocate?
how did it go??
Passport is required for all US airlines whether it is regional or mainline
How quickly after you finish training and get your job base location do you have to relocate? Will I have enough time to find a place to live and move? Will I need to save up money for after training for two three weeks to move and relocate?
😂❤
Hi. Thank you for your videos, they've been very informative 🙂I'm trying to wrap my head around the hours. You said when you start off, you're guaranteed to be paid 78 hours for the month, but that's it's also a full time position. I'm used to 36-40 hours per week being full time. So when you start off are you only guaranteed part time hours for the month? I know you said you can do more shifts if you want, but I'm guessing finding more shifts isn't guaranteed.
Also, do you know many flight attendants with spouses and kids? Is this career possible with a full family? I'm looking to make a career change.
so it is full time but working 40 hours per week is extremely hard.. it makes more sense when you’re in it but it’s considered full time. and yes I have plenty of FA friends with full families ☺️ so dont let that deter you
Thanks for making this video🙂! Just a quick question, when they tell you what base you’re going to be at, how do you find roommates? Are they usually the other flight attendants that you work with? I’m asking because I know that in some states rent can be super high😭 and I would rather split the rent.
thanks for watching! and its completely up to you how you do things after training but yes most times a couple or a few FAs will get a place together. that's what me and one of my friends from training did (:
You mentioned with the relocating. Do they base your pay on states, because of how rent and stuff within that city?
unfortunately they do not. it only goes by seniority on how much you make.
Great video! Thank you so much for sharing this valuable information.
As far as pay goes, since ~$28.88 is the average starting rate per hour, do you get time & a half (x1.5) for anything over 8 hours and then double time (x2) for anything over 12 hours?
I work in the film industry, but am considering transitioning career paths and this is how we calculate pay for the day. I'm asking because 78 hours x $28.88 = $2,52.64 (before taxes) would barely even cover rent, especially considering I live in a very expensive city (Los Angeles).
unfortunately no. we only get time and a half on holidays.. LA is a tough city starting out. I lived in SFO for the first year and had a few roommates .. it’s something you have to be committed to and know you can make work 💕
@@happylittlelife That's dissapointing, but I'd rather know now. Thanks so much for clarifying.
Hi, this is great video! I was wondering per month the total hours you work are 78? plus if you decide to work on your day off. Or is the 78 hours are a by weekly status?
hi thank you! so 78 per month but if you work on off days or over those 78 hours it'll go up (:
So I’m in Cleveland Tennessee so I’m close to Georgia base chartlet North Carolina and Knoxville my question is when they call you to come in how much time do you have to get to the airport before the flight because I’m about 3 hours from all 3 bases
for my airline you have to be at your base within three hours of them calling you. sometimes they give you more time but three is the least amount of notice they can give
Breeze airways does hire part time FAs
never heard of Breeze airways like I've never heard of a part time flight attendant
Hey I just started doing research on becoming a flight attendant I wanted to know when u get hired and you get your information on where you are going to be based/relocated to, how is the process of moving? Will they cover relocation costs(moving expenses).
hi there, so no unfortunately they do not cover relocation costs
New here!! Just subscribed💗
thank you so much girl! just subscribed back!♥
@@happylittlelife thank you ❤️
Do you get paid differently as a flight attendant based on the area do you live? For example, living expenses in San Francisco (expensive) versus another city being less.
unfortunately not .. it’s the same all around
Wondering what you think the best 3rd language besides Spanish to learn would be to be hired
German, Hebrew, maybe even French
So when you say live there do they pay for housing? Do you have to find your own place to stay or how does that work?
you have to find and pay for your own place
Hey , you said you don't need to study flight attendent school you just apply , can they pick you and train you even if you have zero experience like it's your first time ? And what qualities do they look for in a flight attendant ?
hi yes that’s right.. they look for mainly customer service experience!
So since they relocated you… obviously they covered your flight but are you then responsible for getting a place? Do they tell you how long you’ll be based there? How does that all work.. most apartments want to know your income and seems like there isn’t really a straight answer.
you are responsible for getting a place and you have to stay at your base for 6 months then you can put your transfer request in but there is a list and it all depends on your seniority and availability in the base you’re trying to get into.
If you apply to one airline and get the job, can you apply to another airline when they’re hiring? Does it depend on the airline?
it's like any other job in that regard, you can apply but you'd have to receive an offer and go through training again. it doesn't transfer across airlines if that's what you mean. hope that helps!
I wanna be a flight attendant but I’m scared of flying 😭 I’m sure if I flew more I would get used to it
My birthday is December 31st!!
hey birthday twin!
Once you pass the 78 hour Mark is time and a half kicked in ?
no just regular hourly rate. we get time and a half for holidays
Wait just making sure the starting pay is $28 an hour with AA?
I’m actually not sure how much AA makes starting out! but I would imagine it’s around $28
Two questions. Will having a disability keep you from getting an interview or getting the job? Do all airlines provide you with free hotel accommodations during training? I know some airlines are not as nice as others. Just curious about that.
I am actually not sure about having a disability but I say apply anyways! also yes they pay for your hotel while in training, at least the airlines I know of (:
When you have a lay over does the airline pay for your hotel or do you? Thanks
the company pays
@@happylittlelife thank you
I’ve tried so hard to apply but no airline is hiring in San Diego
so hiring in San Diego might be your issue.. because airlines could be hiring but not there. you would need to be willing to relocate.
@@happylittlelife do airlines do online interviews?
@@omari7877 the first interview is online but the face to face is not
You guys get payed monthly ? Or every two weeks ?
every two weeks
Cutie 🥰
😘 miss you beautiful!
What airline do you work for? Can you eat for free on the plane?
How do you find a place to live in home base? Do the airplane help pay for your moving to another location?
Which airline do you work for?
Is mainland better or not?
My real question is how do you afford dmv rent with your salary 😭
lol long answer to that question
What drugs do they drug test for?
I’m actually not sure what all drugs they test for when they test you, they tell you but I can’t remember
I'm a 46 year old man. Am I too old to apply?
not at all! it’s never too late
