Erik, I never comment but this was the best interview yet. A real life story. I am from Central California and I see of all these crimes in California. This interview was great. I really appreciate the work all of these amazing gun enthusiasts and entrepreneurs put into their product.
I dont say too much on videos except they are good ones. However Mr. .Will McCloskey really Intrigued me. He is the type of man that Built America. He is impressive to put it mildly. An Awesome video Erik and as always you do a fabulous job and bring interesting people.
Will is a class act. Found him by accident a few years ago when I wanted a wood competition stock. When working through the process it was like talking to my brother. The rifle is now claimed by my kids and look forward to every rifle I build for them built on his stocks. Thanks for doing the interview
If the component shortage is hurting top level, relatively well off shooters like you guys, it is limiting everyday people's opportunity to participate in local shooting competitions, at least it is for me. I use to stop by a local gun store about once a month and buy a pound of powder and some primers. Haven't been able to do that for 2 years, the store simply doesn't have any supplies. I am not going to pay the prices I see on the internet. I don't think this situation is going to end in the foreseeable future. Going to drive a lot of people out of the shooting sports.
One of the nicest guests I’ve seen on any channel. Good to see you just chatting and not hiding the anger EC. Don’t get me wrong, I’m with you all the way. It’s just funny to watch you bite your lip. Any how. Nice chat gentlemen. Keep on keeping on. 🙏
This was a great interview. Thank you so much Will for doing it. Maybe there is hope for another car guy to try F class. Perhaps I will get to meet you both some day. Thanks Eric, Will was a great choice for and interview.
Totally just bought a Tormach CNC mill... not a machinest, not the first clue how to use it... Biology, Chemistry, and Medicine are more my speed, but I like a challenge so we're about to convert some stock material to scrap material and we're gonna make something or break something in the process🤠😎🥳
I work in the power generation industry; specifically with GE Gas Turbines. Much of the material in a modern Combustion Turbine is made from austenite based / austenitic stainless steel alloy. I suspect that when rifle barrels are repeatedly fired, the metal undergoes plastic deformation and therfore becomes work hardened beyond its initial characteristics and probably why barrels "speed up". I wonder if anyone has tried to anneal a fired barrel at the point where it begins to speed up? It would be interesting to see the results of that testing.🤔
Wow..... My mind is totally blown.... my next build is getting one.... My problem is only, what caliber and action would match the the beautiful stock....I really can't think of one... That's just over the top gorgeous craftsmanship.
Regarding the components. Can somebody tell me why we can't get the bullets? I understand the primers and powder companies are putting their efforts into factory ammo but I didn't realize there was that type of demand for the Bergers so where are all the Berger bullets going? At the same time I'm having a hard time understanding the ammo shortage too, our local gun shop can't get it and everyone I know have hardly been buying anything because of the price and companies are claiming to be making more than ever yet it doesn't roll in to the shops. None of it adds up if they are making all they say where is it?
'Perfect' rifle stock has been made for many years, Rigby, Purdey you name them... I collect Mausers from the 1898-1935 and heres the bottom line... Stock making requiers knowledge of type of wood, setting out (grain lines in fital areas of the stock ) to suit calibre , craftsmanship ... and these are all natural wood stocks (mainly English, French, European and Turkish wallnut), no laminates and these stocks have been everywhere in the world for hundreds of years... FAAAAR more important for competitions shooting is the barrel quality and action alignment, chambering etc etc etc ...as far as breaking stocks we hunt (and I am from Africa) for many many years in all conditions rain, wind , dust, bush, mud etc etc and neither me nor any of my friends have ever broken a stock, it all starts with traditional stock making by EXPERIENCED and HIGHY skilled stockets.
well it a computer programing ( i the guy worked in Government i got hit by a car in my recovery the government shop i was at sent me to drive a little truck home or off base, one day IBM sent a computer & MS Dos designer Mr Gates to place i was assigned watch him don't let nothing happen to him i finally heard they did think computer would work hay where manual he here i asked who he was his reply I wrote that manual your reading for the computer operating system) the machine worked thinking in my head this is a costly adding machine! about that time it hit me this guy could fix this thing! hay you have to fix this how change way it accessed so normal people could use it! like 25 years later in medical hospital my uncles number for military out come what i had & why i was sick & darn my ex was nuts why did she try to feed me rat posin this might ended years before! blood thinner was made from rat posin no i not killing me blood cancer was up to my uncle! the first man to live threw it the computer had all his tests & samples & why it was already controlled!! is will ever gonna finish his cars in his shop?? those parts fit on!

I wish Will offered a hunting stock design or two. You Could build some very nice looking rifles with that wood he uses.
Fantastic interview, a lot of information from an obviously very talented man. Thanks for your generosity.
Great interview.
That is a really nice looking stock he is building! If I shot F class that is what I would be shooting for sure!

I like wills honesty
Thanks boys.
Try to keep in mind there’s a reason for the rule against on-camera talent chewing on something while talking
Didn't know you could shoot 1000 yard matches in Fresno, unless you knocked down the Ram berm on range #8
What action does Will shoot?
About how much would you pay for one of his stocks?
Start at $899
Wood is totally different
Texas is America. 😁👍👍
I love that "push a button" People not only don't get "it" they have this idea that is preconceived and completely false
Lol

Hey Will keep your politics out of it!
