    I have this generator with the 50 amp hookup to the house and it runs EVERYTHING in my house including central air conditioning

      That is great! I've been looking into installing a hookup to the house.

    I am expecting mine tomorrow from Amazon here in SoCali, so today I am going to Uhaul to get 4 propane tanks and trying to organize all this stuff I bought and be ready for a scheduled power outage Tuesday.
    The Predator was 23 hundred and this Westinghouse was $1299 and dual fuel for those just in case occasions seemed like the better choice.
    Take Care

      Nice! Let me know what you think of it. It looks like you will be able to use it in a real-world scenario before I get to. I hope it works for what you need.

    I have the same generator with hardly any run time. It wont remote start when cold unless i give it a shot of starting fluid. Is yours doing any better on remote start when cold?

    • @jimmysoutlet
      @jimmysoutlet  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Sometimes I need to do the remote start more than once to get it to start from a cold start, but it does start after a few tries. Once it starts it works well. I haven't needed to use starting fluid yet. Thanks for watching.

    About to put a regulator on mine to be able to run it on Nat. Gas. Thanks for the video.

      I didn’t know you could do that. Good Luck! I might need to look into that too, my house uses natural gas for the furnace and water heater. Let me know how it goes. Did you buy a kit for it?

      It is a nice generator. I bought a few sheets of plywood and created a 3 wall with roof enclosure. I have the open end facing away from my house and it helps reduce the noise.

    Wonder if this would work with a Magnum AGS?

      That's a good question and I'm not sure, but I found a forum that talks about using Magnum AGS with a Westinghouse generator. Hope this helps. diysolarforum.com/threads/magnum-me-ags-n-with-westinghouse-7500fd-generator.15380/

    What’s the difference between the 9500DF and DFc

    • @jimmysoutlet
      @jimmysoutlet  Před 4 měsíci

      The WGen9500DFc includes a CO sensor. Thanks for watching!

  • @MrKmagna
    @MrKmagna Před 4 měsíci

    Has any one bypassed the co sensor? The smallest wind will shut down my 9500dfc. I would like to know how to bypass it.

    • @jimmysoutlet
      @jimmysoutlet  Před 4 měsíci

      I have not had this issue and wouldn't recommend bypassing it, since it's a safety feature. Not knowing your setup, If it's in an enclosure find a way to pull the co out one side while pulling in fresh air from the other. If it's up against a wall maybe move it away and face the exhaust the same direction the wind blows. Just a few ideas.

    Can it run an electric stove?

    • @jimmysoutlet
      @jimmysoutlet  Před rokem

      Looking online, on average a stove uses between 1,000-3000 watts. The oven can range from 2000-5000 watts. This will depend on how many burners you are using on the stove and how hot the burners and oven are running. Electric stoves have a special plug and pulls more amps. If it pulls less than 50amps you should be good, just make sure you plug it into the correct outlet on the generator. You won't be running much of anything else, until you are done using the stove. You'll have to look up the watts and amp information about the stove you are wanting to use. I have a gas stove, so I can't test this. Hope this helps and thanks for watching.

    Whats the cost/Run/Wattage you get from this thing.
    Like what do you buy to power it and how long does that thing power it for.
    Ughh i dont even know how to word it properly.

    • @jimmysoutlet
      @jimmysoutlet  Před rokem

      Hey, the price is around 1,400 USD, but you can find it on sale sometimes for 1,000 USD. It can run both gas and propane. Gas will give you a constant max wattage of 9,500 and propane will give you 8,500 watts. It says up to 12 hours run time on a full tank of gas. This will also depend on how much you have plugged into the generator. Hope this helps and thanks for watching! There is a link in the description that will take you to the product if you need more information.

    • @MrOrangeonion
      @MrOrangeonion Před rokem

      @@jimmysoutlet I checked the product, it was out of stock but i checked again amazon, it was like 3500 on offers :/.
      So lets say i had a 400 watt load, would it take ages to run out then? because thats sorta what id have i think.

    • @jimmysoutlet
      @jimmysoutlet  Před rokem

      @@MrOrangeonion The description says up to 12 hours. The generator has an idle speed, which will use gas no matter what and that is probably where the 12-hour run time comes in. When you start plugging things into the generator it needs to work harder to power those items causing more gas to be used. If you are only using 400w of power then you will get more run time out of the generator than if you were using 8,000 watts. If you are only looking to run 400w of power this generator is probably overkill for what you need. Just a thought and would save you some money.
