Thank you for covering this. I got duped into having a representative contact me about solar panels for power walls, instead of my eligible cybertruck voucher to have a PowerShare installed at my home. This salesmen was trying to get about $60k for me to accept a power wall installation!!! I thought it was the PowerShare that comes with the Tesla Cybertruck!
Do your research folks!!! If you own the cybertruck- do not get the powerwalls- instead use your cybertruck to have the PowerShare installed!
    Great content guys!! Thanks!

This was great, thanks! After watching this, I don't see the point of Powershare vs. Powerwall. Guess I'll take the voucher.

Ac coupled and Tesla V2h seems like two must have for the powerwall. I have 10kw solar and 2 model y. This only makes sense if I can use both systems with one powerwall and use the vehicle battery to supplement the powerwall wall.

Awesome Joe! Pretty much covered it all. Will submit for quote and advice. Only thing missing was adding a PW to a 3V gateway setup. Tesla says no problem, coming soon, but not really supported now without specialized commissioning support.
So the penultimate question remains… do the 3V now and add PW soon, or do PW first (prob with gateway 3) and wait for PowerShare compatibility. And how the $2500 credit works if declining the 3V. Can it be used toward a regular V3 gateway and UWC?
I don’t really need a bunch of Tesla T-shirts nor a non street legal light bar.

I'm adding some PW2s to my AC coupled Enphase PV system, they are spec'ing 2 maybe 3 PW2s, and a Gateway 2. I already have a Gen 3 HPWC. I'm getting conflicting info on what I should get now to FUTURE PROOF. Will I really need the Gateway 3V? I get a $300 per kWh cash rebate from my utility on top of the 30% tax credit for my ESS, so I can get 3 PW2s installed for less than $19K. BTW what is the LRA the CT can support. 2 PW2s can easily start my 3-ton AC

2022 Tesla Model Y is not capable of Powershare functionality. However, it is true that your setup supports Tesla Powershare using the Cybertruck once Tesla releases the software likely in Q4 2024.

Not back-feeding the grid isn't really about line worker safety, as no line worker will touch a down cable without 1) testing it and 2) PPE.
The reason you can't back-feed the grid is because it would try to power your entire neighborhood and would immediately overload and shut off. No PowerWall, Cybertruck, etc is capable of running your 37 neighbors' air conditioning and refrigerators that would try to immediately turn back on if you powered up the line. They would shut down immediately from being overloaded, it would look like a dead short.

Is Tesla going to expand the Poweshare to future Tesla vehicles?

I picked up my cyberbeast two weeks ago- how do I get the $2500 voucher? Have not heard anything from Tesla.

Having the dc to ac happen on the car doesn't makes sense when you have batteries. Just send DC from the car to the powerwall which can use it to charge the powerwall batteries without inverting it. Car batteries already are over 300 volts so the current rating is very small. You can easily do 11kw with 36 amps or less. V2h should be easy because DC is so much simpler than ac. Huge fail on Teslas end.
