Bayern Munich are the only team to make a European Cup (Champions League) final in six successive decades (1974, 1975 ,1976 (3x in a row winners), 1982, 1987, 1999, 2001 (winners against Valencia CF), 2010, 2012, 2013 (Der Klassieker ) when Arjen Robben scores the winning goal and 2020 beating PSG for their sixth overall CL title.

What Alfredo Dî Stefano was to Real Madrid just like Eusebio was to Benfica, Johan Cruyff was to Ajax Amsterdam, Sandro Mazzola was to Inter Milan, Gerd Müller was the foundation for the entire history of Bayern Munich from the moment he stepped onto the pitch and of this day with modern players like Lewandowski, (Thomas) Müller, Manuel Neuer, Kingsley Coman, Leon Goretzka amongst others.

Monchengladbach were as good as Bayern in the 1970s, with more Bundesliga titles and more European finals. They kept coming up against Liverpool, unfortunately for them.

For those who don't know or just see that Bayern of today will win once again the Bundesliga. You ought to know one thing. Bayern is a club in which Germans use from the early 60s, as the main club team to develop the National Team. Bayern and the National team go hand and hand. It is a priority to keep it like that till this day.

@@AdvocateSpirit the game has changed; can't really compared the two era of Fútbol. In general ; grown folks would say " 1970s Bayern is better" and some others would say " they won 3 UCL in a row" . in reality , is all who you talk to about that subject. Me personally i can only say today's Fútbol is magical as it was then but much faster and skillful. I watch Robben & Ribery now is Gnabry and Lewy. In overall ; i say today's Bayern is better

Bis vor kurzem dachte ich, dass alle Fußbälle (von Bayern München) aus genähtem Leder bestehen.
Es stellte sich heraus, dass einige Varianten aus Polyurethan-Gummi nicht nur im Training, sondern auch in einigen Spielen verwendet wurden.
Natürlich waren dies keine billigen Gummifußbälle, aber sie waren auch nicht so haltbar wie die genähten Bälle.
Ich möchte unbedingt einige der letzten verbliebenen Gummifußbälle finden, die in einigen Spielen von Bayern München verwendet wurden.
Ich würde Hunderte von Euro für einen einzigen dieser Fußbälle bezahlen, und es wäre mir sogar egal, ob er Luft hält.

The 1974 team was as strong as a national side. Not only Beckenbauer and Muller but with the GREAT Paul Breitner who was two players in one (defender and inside forward) breaking up attacks and storming up from the back with real class. Unlike Borussia Moenchengladbach they also had a class striker to play up with their centre-forward in Uli Hoeness.

The fouls they committed against Bayern in the 1975 final were one of the worst ever, especially the one on Anderson which ended his career,

@@bigceazer21 never won the big trophies? We won every major domestic honour and played in all the European finals. We were cheated in 1973 out of the European Cup Winners Cup and in 1975 European Cup Final we were robbed as well even the Germans in this video said we should have had the goal allowed.
I'm sorry but history only remembers the winners. You were great domestically but you still failed to win the European cup like I said history only remembers the winners.
@@paulgray7014 Even if Leeds' goal wasn't disallowed, they'd still have had to play the rest of the game. And who knows how it would have ended up. And may b it was karma for Leeds that played so dirty (they took out Bayern's defender already in early minutes of the game). Leeds have gotten away with many things in their league, not shying away from dirty tricks, so may be this time it was over for them.
