Carlito: [voiceover] Sorry boys, all the stitches in the world can't sew me together again. Lay down... lay down. Gonna stretch me out in Fernandez funeral home on Hun and Ninth street. Always knew I'd make a stop there, but a lot later than a whole gang of people thought... Last of the Moh-Ricans... well maybe not the last. Gail's gonna be a good mom... New improved Carlito Brigante... Hope she uses the money to get out. No room in this city for big hearts like hers... Sorry baby, I tried the best I could, honest... Can't come with me on this trip, Loaf. Getting the shakes now, last call for drinks, bars closing down... Sun's out, where are we going for breakfast? Don't wanna go far. Rough night, tired baby... Tired...
"You Are So Beautiful"

THIS FILM HAS AND WILL ALWAYS TOUCH MY SOUL. MASTERPIECE.
masterpiece indeed
You are so beautiful......... to me
Best movie of all time
Love it how he trying to escape his past and build a new future
Classic
"No friends in this shit business..." How true Carlito...
“Tired baby...tired” and then the song comes.
This ending...damn i lose it every time 😭❤️
This is truly heartbreaking scene, but actually why should I regret him, this is a story of the mobster from his point of view, he killed so many people, maybe lot of them have their love stories too. He is tough guy, interesting, trustworthy but he choosed that kind of life. There is no escape in that bussines, what he supposed to expect?
Prekaljeni borac That’s true too but when you like the character you just can’t help but feel his pain.
Me too!!! Sobbing like a baby
Same🥺🥺
@@petherhandke2000 Yeah, he did his crimes, but he was trying to go straight.
Rough night... Tired baby......tired...
Such a touching line. Very touching....
gets me everytime....
I swear this is one of the best scenes in all of cinematography...the acting, the music, the camera angles...its simply prefect. You can feel the despair and resignation...the finality. Carlito knows he only has a few more minutes to live. She knows it too. "Lay down, lay down. Gonna stretch me out at Fernandez funeral home....always knew I'd make a stop there.....getting the shakes now...Sun's out".
I love this movie. I saw it with both my parents who loved it as well. They are both gone now but I watch it and relive the time we all saw it together. Beautiful.
You touched my heart , bless them brother
God bless them and you bro.
@@NexUs-in9gt thank you buddy
Thank you for the kind words@@DrHussainQasem
They’re waiting for you on a beach in Paradise brother 💖
We all can relate on a deep level. Sometimes no matter how hard you try, you can never just make it. A masterpiece.
"Tired baby...tired" really touch me. He was done with that life and wanted to escape it so much
Noot You can leave that life but that life cant leave you
INFAMOUS Tyler Stanley unfortunately so. Although some are more lucky than others
Exactly. He was tired of it all. I'm 61 now and I feel the same way. Tired....sometimes I can hear Carlito's words: "Lay down, lay down".
Then he actually died.
"no room in this city for big hearts like ours" :'(
hjsca he said big hearts like hers
Powerful performance by no other than the legend Al Pacino
for me better than scarface
How was he not nominated for this or scarface. Its crazy
@@evanlusmann2689 I've seen both and Scarface was a lot better imo
@@pepetenpiku9953 not for me. This movie is slightly overrated but Scarface is slightly underrated.
@@sugs1191 scarface is better but carlitos way is close imo
This movie will always have a special place in my heart, I've seen it well over 100 times, it will always be my favorite movie
Improv Central that's about 3000 hours
No.man.max 300:))
for me this scene is one the best in cinematic history.
I love that this film rewards you if you stick through the credits. Carlitos Brigante jr gets swept up in his mothers arms. Beautiful craftsmanship.
All these years watching this movie & I never did watch to the end credits.
That was powerful.
Thank you many for that.
Who else watches the entire credits everytime? I do.
ITS ACTUALLY ONLY THEN DO YOU EVEN EVER SEE YOUNG CARLITO BRIGANTE' JR. COME INTO VIEW.
Absolutely and sobbing the whole time!
Yeah I feel you 💯👌🏽
Me me me!!!!❤😊
Is it possible to not cry at the end ???????? What a movie, true masterpiece 🙂
This film was De Palma's magnum opus because it is his most refined movie about the human condition. The world is a place of want and there is no room for love.
“Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once.”
This ending is powerful. I’m working hard in a different country to support my family. I want them to be happy and untroubled, dancing in the sun.
"Sorry baby..I tried the best I could, honest"
The dancing at the end....... Amazing scene
very emotional!!!
Yes it is that's why I'm here!
I cant decide if it makes me happy or sad
Its my favorite part of the movie!!!🥰
@@matthewjackson4299 Both, she lived Carlito,he died, yet she was able to get away to a happier place with their child.❤
"Last call for drinks...Bars closing down"
quentin aird its a metaphor used in the book "After Hours" when Carlito dies, such a dope phrased
My father and I saw this at a discount theater back in 1993, and though I was only 12 years old, yeah my Dad was that cool, this ending credits did, and still touches my heart. I love this film!
such an unrated jewel ! the cinematography is incredible and regulatory too but this ending it makes you watch all the credits
Miss movies with real life stories like this
WHAT A MOVIE MAN ITS RIGHT UP THERE WITH SCARFACE AND HEAT AS THE BEST
admit we all cried........
😭😭😭😭😭😭
my dads favourite movie.. love it so much, always reminds me of him
gail sobbing "don't leave me charlie" as he dies and she is left with their unborn child. heartbreaking right there
3:02 Never stop thinking about that line!!! Damn it.
Carlito had a heart. Gangsters can't afford to have that...
Seriously can’t watch the ending without tearing up. Living a criminal drug fueled life ( although not to the same extremes) for many years I always could relate to carlito. Fortunately I made it out unfortunately he didn’t. First time I saw the ending scene and credits it broke me
Man, I just gotta appreciate and just love how 360 camera angle was shot-- just so breath-taking.
The ending ripped my heart out.
The one ending of a movie that can always make me cry.
Sorry baby, I tried the best I could, honest...
Gets me every time...
Both sadness and happiness in this scene
Damn I shed a tear on this.
I cry every time
Me too

*Rough night, tired baby... Tired...”*
Carlito Brigante’s last speech - 1993
this film is one of my all time favourites, and always makes me cry. It's a classic film, and films nowadays in my opinion don't come close to this classic along with many others.
I hated that scene. He was so close.
Al Pacino is one of a kind. There are some great actors in the world, but he tops the list in my opinion.
Adeleke Akinade tom hanks
adnan asghar Robert De Niro
I totally agree, he can play everything, for me he is the best actor of the last 50 years
Pacino is the goat with deniro basically tied with him as the best ever
@@evanlusmann2689 sorry fam, marlon brando remains no. 1 pacino de niro hold the 2nd place.
one of the best endings to an amazing film ever
The dancing scene at the end is EVERYTHING to me in this movie!!! Gail loved to dance!🥰 Although Carlito wasnt able to join them,he made sure she got the hell out of NY with her unborn child,to a place of peace.❤
Brings back so many old memories....bad and good....no regrets.....
Last of the Mo Ricans!
the ending.. with the credits
its how ive always always pictured my wife, after our divorce..
im both happy for her, and sad.
One of the best movie endings ever. Tired baby, tired.
You are so beautiful to me ...can you seee !!!! you are everything I hope for 😣😣😢😭😭😭
Another masterpiece from De Palma.Very great movie and an unforgetable Pacino. 20/20.
and yes i cry to this, its a realy beautiful but tragic ending
He was sooooooo close to getting out alive ... and going to prison for life - killed about 4 people in a busy train station full of cops.
best end credits ever ... with twin peaks season 3 maybe ...
Brings a tear to my eyes every time!
Sooo great the movie the final is breathtaking love the music
My favorite movie at the saddest part.
I love Al pacino. Suburb actor.
Hes not bad in rural settings either.
Beautiful scene.
Sorry boys, all the stitches in the world can't sew me back together again
Such a great film. One of De Palma's best films next to Blow Out & Mission Impossible
Waaaaay waaaaay better than Scareface by a landslide.
Great mix of the gangster and film noir genres. Touching ending.
This scene all the way through to the credits is just incredible...
Probably one of my favorite movies my mom showed me when I was so young. November 2, 22. 1:44Pm
Some days i just like to come back and watch this its just an amzing film my favorite film just perfect the lines too
Tired baby...tired
Perfect and the song to
fucking love this movie .
Anytime I walk by Grant central.i think about this movie
Good movie
Gail totally felt regretful for Charlie at the end.
Hes my friend gail i owe him.. he saved my life thats who I am I can't change who I am
Brings back old memories....nostalgia for sure.....
The most beautiful sad ending ever!
New and improved Carlito. I always think of my son when he says that.
It's a universal message that eventually we will all make a stop and stretch out Hun and Ninth Street.
This scene and the other when he meets Apollonia in "The Godfather". What a legend!!!!!!
This movie really touch'd me
Great movie the ending always gets me
when i watch this movie i think of how your life can be so close to perfect and then....
No hard feelings Carlito, I got think about my future too. Bees like that sometimes...come on let's go.
mistagunn nah you stay here pew !!
Lol
Al Paccino is one my favorite actor
They never make this kind of movie ever again
Rough night... tired baby tired.
Gets me everytime.
One of my favorite movies of all time classic.
thanks for the upload! I remember when I first saw this masterpiece and the last scene I was thinking he was shot in the stomach ,not the head or heart , he might pull through! Even when I saw that great ending scene with them dancing in the sunset of a beautiful tropical island, I was holding out some hope that there would be silhouette of a person in a wheelchair (a recovering Carlito) but alas not. Still a wonderful scene embodying all the emotion of real life, hope coming out of sadness. What also adds to the greatness of this film is that it shows him being shot at the start, but this film is so good and sucks you right in that I forgot that right up to the point where the sequence where he is shot gets repeated towards the end of the film!
Трогательная концовка прекрасного фильма с великолепной песней Джо Кокера...
The scene would have had more impact if it didn't show Pacino get pushed on the stretcher but just a black screen or a view of the city with Pacino talking. Then going to the song/dance scene
5:47 ladies nd gents, meet the new, improved, carlito brigante😊
Ah be Carlito...
Bu filmin Scarface , Godfather gibi anılmaması beni harbiden çok üzüyor.
Altyazı için teşekkürler ❤️
Beautiful movie.
The ending of this movie remains me of vice city bc of the blue ocean water
The last Poor Rican...My man cappuccino lol~
and somewhere in 1993; Beverly D'Angelo loses it and demands her agent calls Pacino to set up coffee .
Absolutely devastating indeed.
greatest song ever created...one of the better movies ever exposed...whoever you are...thank you
Can’t listen to the song without welling up because of this film :(
Great movie
GREAT YOU ARE SO BEAUTIFUL SCENE IN CARLITO'S WAY 1993 FILM !!!!
Last call for drinks! Best movie line ending!
This is really great 👌 Carlito
They should have made a sequel where it talks about his son and he tries to find Benny and get revenge for what he did to his father
I understand that a film showing revenge on Benny Blanco would be satisfying but IMHO it would be a betrayal of Carlito's dying wish and hope for his son's future. He wanted a new improved Carlito who was free of the cruelty of the streets and instead someone who had a big heart and was kinder like Gale was and like he would have liked to have been. I might understand a storyline where the mob or benny comes after Gale and her son , but I sincerely hope that Gale and her son are left in peace on their tropical paradise.
But don't worry 'The mask kid' characters like Benny always get their come uppance in the form of Karma and rarely reach old age to die a peaceful passing surrounded by loved ones. There are always benny blancos coming up through the streets killing each other and replacing each other in an endless violent cycle (eg 'turf wars')
Shut your ass up. Benny Blanco is still alive.
@Iceman 23 what serious flaws were those pls?
Best scene ever...
One of my favourite films
