Harbor Freight 670 Predator Troubleshooting

- So our brand new HF 670 is not running well while under a load. we can jack up the Golf cart which it is installed in and have small issues but when actually driving under a load the 670 really tends to load up. We checked/cleaned the carburetor prior to this video and found no trace of fuel related problems.
We videoed the engine while under a load driving a round to show you what she's doing.

Mine is doing the exact same thing. Run rich as crap
its becuase these carbs where not made to ilde like this, made to run pressure washers and crap like that wide open. the facorty jets are not the same size either.
Was it a pain to get it started initially? I'm about to complete a swap on my wife's golf cart and I cannot get the engine to stay running. It fires up when I spray starting fluid or gas in the engine but then dies out.
Literally a brand new engine that hasn't ran for more than 30 seconds.
honestly, if its as new as you say, take that shit back. they will give you another, just drain the fuel. the motor should run perfect out of the box. I did just post a new video last week about how to 100% dial in your carb, I HIGHLY recommend doing that for a golf cart application.
Maybe the fuel pump. I changed my fuel pump to one for a Honda.
I ended up doing an entire engine swap. the fuel pump was the only thing we didnt mess with, very well could have been the issue but we are all back up and running.
We are waiting for the speed gears to come in so we can video the install and before and after test. 👌
Fuel pump! I have one I mated to a generator and the problems went away when I installed an electric pump.
Actually I replaced the spark plugs before the first run due to horrendous reviews.
I actually just replaced my spark original plugs just the other day. motor running like total crap, I installed E3's runs much better, I'd honestly like to ditch the factory carb and go with a mikuni carburetor. these china dual carbs suck, I am always messing with it because if my idle is to high I cant switch from F to R w/o shutting off the motor. I did just figure out a direct Briggs & Stratton fuel pump which ill do a video on and hopefully that will help with the lack of fuel, gonna change few other things too.

@@stevieray1828 I am running the Vegas carts muffler, 1-10 i'd rate it a 7. its very loud after you break it in. I am running a OEM intake, I hate it. I am switching to a performance 670 30mm carb kit and ditching the stock setup. I just dumped like another 1500 into my cart so the carb wont happen for a few months. my cart is currently under the knife. more videos will be up shortly.
Seems like fuel pump, did you ever get this figured out?
i went with a Mukini fuel pump. I have a video on it.
Did you end up making any changes that made it run better? We have new predator 670 on a mower and its just flossing the carb while it's running & even after we turn it off. We adjusted the low idel jets & it's better but obviously that isn't helping me it run better at full throttle.
I just made a new video 10x better than this one.
