- Universe Mode is once again lacking in WWE 2K24. If you are looking to set up your Universe Mode and need help with some settings getting started, hopefully this video helps you out. These are a combination of suggestions from the comments section (Thank You!) and my own personal experimenting with this mode. You did amazing, i'm so glad you followed up.
Some quick fix for women's tag would be to have teams moved to raw and introduce a midcard title for women on smackdown, or have the women's tag champions on all brands to defend.
In my universe mode I have functional women's tag divisions that I enjoy by doing this, but it takes some time to set up:
- Removed Bayley from Damage CTRL and added Asuka
- Set Asuka and Dakota Kai as the tag members of Damage CTRL (No Kairi yet) and gave them the titles (they have them in real WWE). Iyo is in the main event scene.
- Added new Women's tag titles for Raw (customized the men's tag titles and added a white strap) and gave them to the party girls
Then i created some new teams with these divisions:
WWE Women's Tag title - Smackdown:
- Damage CTRL
- Alba Fyre & Isla Dawn
- Alexa Bliss & Nikki Cross (Alexa Bliss is also on Raw in the world title scene)
- Michin & Shotzi (random face team, loses a lot)
- Tamina & Xia Li (random heel team, loses a lot)
World Women's Tag title - Raw:
- Katana Chance & Kayden Carter
- Piper Niven & Chelsea Green
- Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell
- Natalya & Tegan Nox
- Shayna Baszler & Zoey Stark
NXT Women's Tag title, but they are all kinda random:
- Fallon Henley & Thea Hail (random face team, they lose alot)
- Cora Jade & Jacy Jayne (random heel team, but they win!)
- Ivy Nile & Wendy Choo (random face team, they do well)
- Natalya & Tegan Nox (they are on both raw and nxt, average on both)

At the moment, I raw 3 brands, but have tag championships disputed between them. I have the current WWE factions, plus old ones, like DX, Hardy Boyz, Bella Twins, etc...plus some from AEW, NJPW and Stardom, like Bullet Club Gold, Blackpool FC, Los Ingobernables do Japon, DDM, Cosmic Angels, etc....to spice up, the tags/factions division.
I don’t know why 2k removed the feature of superstars being on certain brands when u select them now I don’t remember who’s on which brand since everyone is highlighted when selecting a character

I was torn on this on one hand. I like being able to have a cross brand match but yeah i forget who's one what show i wish it would be a toggleable option like male/female, champions, weight class etc.
They fixed
I dont know why did 2k remove show openings in universe showing the pryo and crowds now it just jump straight to the match menu
They will add it back as a “new feature” down the road im sure

Universe mode needs drafts every 4 years and also like NBA 2k has auto generated rookies wwe should have auto generated superstars and adds to NXT. It’s like the random superstar feature but 2k needs to improve on that too and make the faces and attires even more randomized.

@@isaintzero I mean technically you could just do that and give them names but then that just takes up space for custom superstars. Also there should be retiring involved too and even progression and regression. Just like NBA 2k myleague does everything.
Great idea. Would add a ton of replay value to the mode.
They technically can and already do that in the gm mode with the locals superstars
It’s a shame how much work one has to put in order to make their universe mode even decent. I regret falling for it again this year , should have stayed my ass on 2k23 😢
I know after the first year in universe mode I have nothing to do with NXT it would be great to get auto generated rookies

Press 🔼 or Y to edit the divisions and add superstars, press square or X to adjust how they are ranked
Superstars can only be in one division at a time, you can’t go for the tag title and the IC title at the same time so anyone you have going for the tag belts can only be ranked in that division, super dumb imo

Work around is make another major show with the same titles, you can change their divisions like that. Kinda dumb extra step but it gets me tag team stars as solo stars on the same “show”.
Or you just move them to the right division like the game intends like wtf the complaints are stupid

To add the tag team to the women tag team division, additionally to create the tag team, you need to make sure that both of them are added to that specific brand (Raw, Smackdown, NXT...)
I tried that and they still didn’t appear. I may have needed to sim a little further beyond the creation and changing their brands!
Honestly for everyone playing i have played every wwe game out and for the universe what i do is take a piece a paper write each brand 5 times and fold them up shake them up and draft like that and each time i write the superstars under each brand and that way once show starts you'll know each superstar on each brand plus separate column for tag teams on those brands... Always easier to have a sheet/guide to look at while playing...
For the tag divisions have you tried first manually having a match for the women's tag titles and having the team win. Then it should show them in the rankings?

It doesn't matter if you turn automatic rifle reads off or not it's still going to put rivalry matches in your raw and SmackDown even if you don't have any rivalries. Universe mode is my favorite mode and they shot it right in the face this year
I'm not a fan of wwe tv but I do enjoy the game. With that said I can't stand most of the default roster. In my universe delete raw and nxt. Then I'll add a custom show of ECW, WCW, or NJPW. Most of the roster for this show will be default roster people that worked other places and some caws. Then I'll add a third show that's a made up custom federation. This show is all caws. The biggest issue is going through the roster list in universe to make sure your talent isn't double booked. Then it is a pain to make custom ppvs (hate ple) but worth it in the end.
The one major issue I have, and have had in universe since svr 06, is the game always tries to assign random valets during certain matches every card. The people in the match are from the shows roster. The valets are usually free agents or from another show.
1 thing i miss the most from 2k19. Is when selecting a superstar it actually tells what brand show they are on. I remember in 1 old game you could toggle between Raw-smackdown-ecw etc. And all superstars for that show would be shown in that column. It was the best!!

Use the NXT women's tag titles for all 3 brands
If you want to specify the main event matches you need to add them again and any selected have a separate total of 100% to set
I usually keep my shows like 5-6 matches long. PLE’s are made longer. Just kinda simplifies things a bit. Also it’d be cool if we could do like a two night WM like IRL
I set up 2 shows for WM.1 on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. After the Saturday show you can delete it off your calendar. Its temporary but it works! 🤷♂️
When you create any team, you need to put them into the same brand and then put them only in the tag division. You can't have one of the members on a different brand or in another division.
To fix the issue with Women's tag division and singles division, I included the Stardom joshi superstars and the factions, prior to Rossi Ogawa's departed from Stardom.
I think when I finally start my universe mode I’m gonna make PPV brand specific! I miss when things were like that!

1000% agree. No reason someone should only be tied in to one title chase.
is there a way to sim to and not have any title changes? i like to set rivalries during week 1 and then just sim to the PPV but there’s always a weird title change that throws everything off even though none are scheduled in the match table for weekly shows.
Try going into the tables of your weekly shows and turning the championship option off on each show and match type. Should make it where there’s no title matches on weekly shows
Quick question: I have 3 shows and each has its own PLE every month. Is it still good if I set them on the first, second and third Sunday? I should still have a 4 weeks build for each show I think. It's my first time playing btw
That would work out okay. Just make sure you have each PLE assigned to the right show. That is a lot of PLE's!

I have 12 womens tag teams and the issue I have is the rankings still don’t change, the teams don’t move up or down in the ranks even if I try move them manually. For all divisions I just take out every contender and only have who I want to challlenge for the title in the division.
any suggestions on incorporating a King of the ring tournament bro , i tried but it was horrible 😅

for some odd reason i keep having random title matches on raw and smackdown when they are not on the match table, also idk why they took out cut scenes like pre promos, etc to make it feel more realistic

How about turn on auto rivalries but just delete rivalries that doesn't make sense
if i remember correctly, rivalries systems were better before. I mean , when you put rivalries, automatically, the game made the same matches between them every week ! In previous game, they made not all week the same match with ame guys, like in real when we watch wwe program. Maybe inteference, maybe promos anyway...Now it seems theey comeback to a poor system which is make same match every weeks with same guys in rivalries without no others wrestlers...really poor
Universe mode is going backwards. Was at its best when it was first introduced and gets worse every year
In order to finish a rivalry for weeks you can simulate it and that's it
Nah bro, tag teams wise, the mode will make tag teams for you ofc, ive made 4-8 tag teams for the womens division. The game did tear apart some of them but then recreated another, i had fallon henly with a downloaded superstar, the game tore them apart and put fallon henly with stephanie mcmahon. Take all teams out of the contenders slots and manually make the rivalry yourself is one option. I have 2 main shows each with a set of tag titles. Just gotta be more in control of booking is all there is to making the tag titles work.
There are definitely solid options. This is more so for people who like to be hands off of the booking and let the game do it.

I put Spring Breakin’ as the first nxt PLE in May instead of April. Made more sense to me 🤷🏻♂️
If you press triangle in that mode you can add a team to the division

In order to fix the women’s tag division you have to make the women fight for both SmackDown and RAW. The game sees that the champs are on raw so it will never use the smackdown women. I personally split the championships one on raw and one on smackdown.
Asuka and alexa are on different brands, you can only put a team in the tag division if they're in the same show
I did try putting them both on Raw and still ran into this issue. I was thinking after the fact maybe I needed to sim a little bit further after I made the team and they would appear.

@CodeRed41010 but yes. You'll need to create teams. Also. You can create rivalries between an established team and 2 non team members. Toggle for a title match and have them win the belts. I had to do this because for some reason I couldn't team Ivy and Maxine because they were already part of different factions.
Why is it every time I set up my PLE and save it I come back and the matches keep changing. Had about 2 weeks where it stopped doing it and now it’s bugged again
And will stay that way for a while im sure, they fix a bug in MyFaction while destroying Universe even more lol
My biggest gripe with the rivalries is that they set up weekly matches on smackdown and raw between the two wrestlers. You don't see cody rhodes fighting aj styles on raw or smackdown every week and then have another match at the PLE.
Right. It’s like “hey we’re gonna try and get you to watch this PLE… here’s that match every single week leading up to that”
@@anderskjellgren4658 Yeah exactly, like for example I have CM Punk vs Brock Lesnar set as rivalry, first week on raw and they already have a match 💀 Cmone in what world does that happen
Funny glitch happened to me I did a us championship royal rumble sabu won (caw) but afterwards he and the other guy were co us champions

I tried both while automatic rivalries makes difrent kind of matches not as repetitive it's also very hard to follow and see who is contender and title shots sometimes don't make much sense and are random...both have strength and negatives
Yeah its terrible tbh, maybe just fix their allies and enemies instead of rivalries, maybe this way you will have different opponents weekly
One truly annoying thing to me is the ai willingness to accept a countout for title matches

Universe is broken I got one person as champion but they took booking somebody else as champion
Btw you COULD just make duplicates in creation mode and have multiples of the same person i mean ffs they give you two kanes and two undertakers problem solved
Does anyone else’s game over book the women ? Got no problem with a PLE having a woman main event but almost every ple the women main even or have more match and that makes no sense cause there’s more men than women.

@@thebatman9035 it's not a bug tho you have the sliders up all the way all you have to do is turn it down. A lot of people think this mode is bugged out but it's really that their settings are all messed up
Great video! 2K really needs to scrap and make a new mode cause universe mode is way to buggy and never gets any significant upgrades
Thank you! I agree, it is time for a complete overhaul of this mode. It's crazy to go back and play older games and see how much detail there was in Universe Mode or Story Creator compared to now.
@@CodeRed41010 you are so right I watch videos on here about older games and it’s crazy to see some of the things that were available not just in the game but in a season mode like walking around the arenas and we are talking on PS2 and 3

Press the "Square" button to edit divisions, it says right there on the screen...
If you are referring to the tag teams, I mentioned in the video they don’t appear when you click triangle or square.
@@CodeRed41010 You can edit the individual divisions of your shows... You have to manually place whatever tag-team you want in the tag-team division....You seemed to forgot the women's tag-team titles are assigned to RAW and SMACKDOWN...
This universe mode is trash I'm going back to 2k19
Don’t download any mods if your on console game won’t glitch lol keep it under 40 a show make a minor if you have 40 plus
Default all entrances so they work properly after the launch patch
Play all the matches or simulate by match cause the title organization will break if you don’t place the right people in the correct matches
Common sense
Just play the mode the way the game intends if you choose to play outside of that you will be frustrated cause it doesn’t work that way
