Nice collection of mostly Shirley Temple VHS tape. I've seen most of the shorts that are shown on these tape on CZcams, and they are all part of the "Baby Burlesque" series, and these shorts are disturbing. These were all from Educational Pictures from 1933 through 1934 before she went to Fox Films by 1934 and did her first batch of films like "Bright Eyes", "Stand Up and Cheer", "Baby Take A Bow", "Curly Top", "The Little Colonel" and "Our Little Girl". By 1935 when Fox Films became 20th Century Fox, Shirley remains with the studio and did more films right up until 1940. She left Fox and when to other studios during her teen years like Selznick Studios, RKO, and others right up until she retired from acting by 1949. She died back in 2014 and her legacy still lives on.
And speaking of her, I made a character in GoAnimate which is the "Comedy World" version of Shirley Temple, and the voice that I used is Ella (from Acapela Group) which would match her voice perfectly to sound like Shirley Temple. I know, she is now a fictional character, but I do add a lot of characters of dead celebrities that are no longer with us, and that is part of their legacy.
BTW, I order the vinyl LP called "Shirley Temple Song Book", but I hope the package will come in today. I have a few Shirley Temple albums on vinyl including "Little Miss Shirley Temple" on Pickwick in the 1970's, and "The Best of Shirley Temple Vol. 2" on the 20th Century Fox label in the 1960's.
As for the last tape, it had only one "Baby Burlesque" short called "Pardon My Pups", and that's it. But the tape itself says "Shirley Temple", but why not called it "Pardon My Pups" instead, and on the top banner that says "Cartoon Classics", and on the tape, it's not a cartoon, it was just live action.
As you may know, "Baby Burlesque" is one of the most controversial short series ever produced and it contains a lot of shock value. It was too disturbing for its time. "War Babies" is still the worst short ever made and it was too disturbing to watch for 1933. These were before the Hays Code took place.
"Reefer Madness" was considered the most shocking film from 1936 that has a lot of drugs and sexually and it became too controversial for a feature film and it was part of a propaganda of drug related films.
