- This video is all about this 1999 Cadillac Eldorado ESC with only 40,000 miles. It is an interesting vehicle that mixes classic luxury with power and sportiness to make a brilliant drivers car. I took a lot of inspiration from Doug Demuro while making this review. I hope you'll enjoy the video!

1976 Eldorado Convertible Review: • 1976 Cadillac Eldorado... - Auta a dopravní prostředky
Beautiful car. A throw back when Cadillac knew how to make beautiful and comfortable cars.
I'm happy to see that I'm not the only one that enjoys this beautiful car. While never driven daily I love taking it for a spin when the weather is nice, especially with the big power sunroof open.
I owed a 96 Eldorado it was by far my favorite car, it broke my heart to let it go, however at the time the repairs were compounding and I could see the writing on the wall, had to cut my losses....what a car.
I understand, it can be hard to let great cars like this go... But the memories made with them is what really matters most. I'm glad you like this era of Eldorado, though. They are underrated and very enjoyable cars. Thank you for watching the video, Thomas!
HAPPENED TO ME WAS SAD ABOUT IT
I had a 1996 Eldorado ETC with the 300HP. Had all the options ticked including moonroof and spoiler. Gave it to a friend who was really nice to me when I left the country.
Hello everybody! I’d like to welcome you all back to the channel, it’s nice to be back. I made a few changes with the style of this video compared to the others so please let me know how you like it. Thank you all for watching!
Very good informative review. Nice caddy. Super clean.
These cars are all about those highway pulls. They handle them remarkably well for it's age. Flooring it while it's already rolling at about 50-60MPH it will actually toss you into the seat a bit allowing you to pass anyone not expecting it. Plus mileage while crusing on the highway is easily in the 30's, and they're very comfortable. It's a really good roadtrip car.
I agree! I was really astonished by how quick the 0-60 time was in this car. It definitely has enough power to pull you hard no matter how fast you're going. Definitely sporty but also very comfortable. I'm not surprised that the mileage is that good as my Fleetwood Limited, which also has the Northstar engine, has gotten 30mpg average on the highway traveling at 65 miles per hour. Since this car is a good bit smaller/lighter I'm sure it can do much better than 30 mpg. Thank you for the comment and for watching the video! 😁
@@JW_Reviews My very first car was a 1994 Cadillac Eldorado Touring Coupe, and surprisingly, the extra 25 HP and the difference in gearing between it and the ESC makes a noticeable difference. I was absolutely spoiled having that as my first car. Now I daily drive a 1998 Eldorado ESC but I put in a Northstar Performance custom PCM module which bumps up the horsepower from 275 to about 325 and 340 ft. lb of torque, which really makes the car pep up.
Unfortunately, my '98 does have a coolant leak somewhere (it's not leaking very visibly, but I do have to top it off every couple days with distilled water until I find the leak, hopefully before winter), but the car really does still drive and sing beautifully. You can get a suprising number of compliments driving these cars.
Very nice! I certainly would have loved to have that as my first car lol. It does sound brilliant! I've heard that the only real reason to not get an ETC is that the electronic suspension goes bad and can't be fixed, but I'd still love to own one. Is the performance module relatively easy to install? And can it be installed into any Northstar Cadillac? It looks to make quite the difference on performance!
@@JW_Reviews I think the only limitation is it's only available for 1993-1999 and 2006-2011 Northstar engines, but it was the easiest performance upgrade I've ever installed on a vehicle lol The PCM on the Eldorado is just in a box that sits right underneath the airbox that's on the left front corner under the hood. All I needed was a screwdriver to remove the hose clamps, take off the box, remove the PCM housing, plug the new PCM in and put everything back together. Maybe a 15 minute job.
It also removes the speed limiter (which otherwise cuts fuel to the engine at 112 MPH), removes the first gear lockout, and sightly boosts MPG when idling in heavy traffic.
Northstar Performance is just about the only place I know of to get Northstar upgrades, and the guy that runs the site also developed the "SureGrip Studs" that completely fix the stripped headbolt and consequential blown headgasket issues the engines are infamous for.
Ah okay. Good to know! I'm amazed by how easy it is lol, that's definitely something I'd consider. I guess my next question would be if the extra power would be too much for the car/engine. Would it not strain some of the components?
And I think I've heard of Northstar Performance because of their studs. It sounds worthwhile but also expensive, I wonder if it's worth it for the value of the car...
Thank you, James. So nice to have you back sir. I just love your detailed reviews and loving the Eldorado as well. I think this final bodystyle is a classic already. Proper new coupes are rare in today's SUV dominated automotive world, sadly. Still wishing GM would bring the Eldorado back. It really should be an essential part of Cadillac's lineup.
You're very welcome! I'm really glad to hear that you think that, I really do enjoy making the videos 😁 And it definitely is becoming a classic! It would really be nice if this name was brought back, it really is perfect for a car like this and I'm sure it would be a strong name for the Cadillac brand!
Thanks
Wow, this car is actually really nice. I always thought they looked so good back in the late 90s, but never actually saw one on the inside. I had an 85 Coupe Deville when I was a teenager and I loved it! Even though it gave me so many problems, haha. Nice job man, you are a great car reviewer ✌💯
It definitely is a nice and underrated car! That's awesome you had an 85 Coupe Deville, very nice. I'm glad you like the reviews, I really appreciate it 😁 Thank you for watching!
Thank you for your review. It makes me miss my 94 I bought a couple years ago. Unfortunately due to some mechanical issues and no mechanic willing to work on a vehicle with a Northstar, I had to let it go. I’m hunting for another, so I guess I’ll always have a soft spot for these cars.
You're very welcome! I'm glad the video brought back some memories with your '94. There seem to be a good amount of nice ones out there that have only had one or two owners (like this one) that would probably serve you well. Good look on your search, Scott!
Great review James!! I’m excited to see more!
Thank you so much, Jacob! I'll have more coming soon 😀
I found your channel after reading your article about your 1999 Fleetwood Limited in the April 2022 issue of the CLC's Self-Starter. Your videos are very well done. I especially liked this review as I had a 1997 Eldorado Touring Coupe in the same color interior and exterior as your ESC. Watching this video brings back memories of my ETC and I enjoy hearing your thoughts about the car. They are similar to my impressions of my car's features, styling and quality. It's also good to see later generations having an appreciation for great American luxury cars. I'm looking forward to more of your videos.
I'm glad you found the channel, Henry! Thank you so much for reading the article and watching the videos, it's great that you're enjoying them 😁 These Eldorado's are great cars! I loved driving this one. Thanks again!
@@JW_Reviews You are very welcome James! I’ve watched several more of your videos and saw in the Professional Car Society Show that they are filmed in northern Ohio. By coincidence, I obtained my 1997 Eldorado from Crestview Cadillac in Dublin, Ohio and my current daily driver, a 2009 Chevy Silverado, from the Steve Austin Auto Group in Bellefontaine. Everything you produce is very good, but I really loved your video on the 1961 Cadillac four window Sedan de Ville, maybe because my only other Cadillac was a 1964 Fleetwood Sixty Special. These model years had much in common, especially in their X-frame chassis. The effort you put into your work is obvious and your in-depth knowledge of automotive details is great! Please, keep ‘em coming!
Wow, your videos feel so nice and homey. I'm not even considering buying these cars but your reviews are fun to watch. I hope your channel grows more and reaches more people. Thank you, this really made my day!
I'm really really glad you like them! It makes me so happy to hear how much you've enjoyed them 😁 I'll try to bring as many videos out as I can! Thank you so much for watching the video and for making my day by leaving this fantastic comment!
Another good review of a Cadillac model that should still be around! Thank you.
Good to see you back man!! And great review
Thank you so much, I'm very glad to be back 😁thank you for watching the video!
Nice video work James! Thanks!
Thanks again, Orren! I really appreciate it
You do great reviews on cadillacs I looking forward to seeing more videos great work James
Thank you, Freddie! I'm glad you enjoy them, I really appreciate the support 😁
Another well done video James! Love the drone shots!
Thanks again, Mark! I really do have fun with the drone shots and I love putting them in the videos. I'm glad you like them!
New subby! Thank you for your in depth review, I'm currently browsing for a convertible and the el dorado was my first car crush when I was 15 and I just love your review! Stay safe and this native mama appreciates you
Thank you so much, Jessie! I'm so glad that I was able to help you in your search for a convertible. These are truly great cars and I hope that the car you find you'll love. Will do, thank you so very much for watching the video 😁
Great job James! Very nice car...
Thank you so so much Aunt Sue! ☺️
Great review and I love Cadillacs as well. I have had 4 total. One 2003 Deville, a 1998 Eldorado and currently own a 2000 Eldorado and a 2010 CTS. I would like to point out you had some information which was incorrect. The black "CHIP" as you called it on the ignition key is not a chip at all. It is in fact a resistor with a preset OHM load. Cadillac created the VATS ( Vehicle Anti-Theft System) with OHM loads from 3 to 12. If the key gets broke or damaged you can go to any locksmith or key maker, ( not Walmart or your local hardware store ) and they have an OHM reader they place the key in which tells them the OHM load and create a new key with the correct resistor. They cost about $9.00. Not expensive or difficult to replace at all. Also, the hood insulator which carries the Cadillac name is there for prestige. Cadillac from the 50s to now has always been on the forefront of technology and luxury. In the 50s and 60s only the rich and famous could own a Cadillac Eldorado and everyone knew that was the car to have. In fact the older versions have options that our current models don't have such as FULL open and closing trunks with a press of a button on the dash. Automatic dimming headlights when the car senses and on coming vehicle and much more. The logo is there to show the world, " hey, I have a Cadillac.."
The Eldorado ETC or Eldorado Touring Coupe was sistered with the ESC or Eldorado Sport Coupe and the Eldorado base. The Base model had very few differences' then the other two with the exception to cosmetic appearances. The base had the Touring motor which was 300-325 HP but no flashy appearance. The ESC was the less powerful at 285-300 HP... odd. You'd think the "sport" coupe would have more zip but not true. ALL models REQUIRE premium full as they have a higher compression ratio than the other Cadillacs. The Eldorado base started with a MSRP of$39,335. The ESC being mid grade at $43,995 and the ETC being the top dog at $49,995. Some were flashier with gold emblems and such and the Landau top, or fake convertible top as you called it, was added class and money. Still a head turner if taken care of and very comfortable to drive.

Thank you very much for the information, Brent! I enjoy learning about these things so it's very interesting to hear what you had to say. And that's very true about the Cadillac Eldorado being a top tier car for its day! I've been fortunate enough to see two different completely restored 1957 Eldorado Broghams. They are the most beautiful and technologically advanced cars I've ever seen! It's amazing to think what those cars must have been like back in the day.
And I always did wonder why the Touring car was the one with more power. Definitely interesting! Thank you again for watching the video and writing this comment, it's very helpful!
ETC has 300 HP. Model year 2000 does NOT require premium fuel.
@@lancedukel3436 ETC MAY be different, but my 98 base and my 2000 ESC both REQUIRE premium. Says it on the dash and on the gas door. According to Edmunds and JD Power the ESC is 275-300 HP, ETC is 300-325... but really depends on where you look. I have also seen 285, 250, 310 but most are consistently 275 to 325. Only way to truly know is to find a bone stock ESC ETC and dyno it. Which will still be off as the car manufacturers measure the HP and torque at the crank not the wheels. Crank readings are typically 30 higher.
@@fasstrides7299 your 2000 northstar doesn't require premium. GM has stated those stickers were a factory mistake.
You found a very well kept Eldorado for this video. I would of loved to have that model back in the day.
It was certainly well kept. Only one owner and it just rolled over 40,000 miles when I had it. It truly was nice! Thank you for watching the video 😁
Great video! I'm about to buy it!
Thank you and congratulations!!! I love these Eldorado's. What year will you be buying and what color is it?
Great car nice presentation
What a great car and thanks for the review
I'm glad you like the car! These 90's Cadillacs deserve some love. Thank you for watching!
Great review. Love my Caddy
Great video !!! Do NOT give up keep up rolling out new videos you will succeed my friend I know you will
Thank you so much, Shante 😁 I'll certainly do my best to keep the channel going for as long as I can. It is a fun hobby and I really enjoy making the videos, so I'll continue even if I don't have tons of subscribers. I really appreciate your support, it really is a huge moral boost 😊 Thank you again!
Best Cadillac review! Thanks for share this. I living in Japan, Now I trying to find good condition AK34K or AK54K, I want to see your review of those someday!
Thank you so much! I'm happy I got to share this car with you. Wow! Are Cadillac cars from this era called Ak34K? Is that the Seville? I have never heard of that before!
SWEET. LOVE CADILLAC'S IT RUNS IN MY FAMILY👍👍👍
That's fantastic! I'm glad you like them so much, Phil. They are fantastic cars all around! Thank you for commenting and for watching the video 😁
Fantastic James ! Love your Caddy reviews ... I now have the CT6 Platinum with the new V8 👌🏻
Thank you so much, I'm extremely happy that you like the reviews 😁Ooh thats absolutely fantastic!!! That is my dream car right there ❤️I hope that you like the car so far! I'm sure the V8 gives you plenty of power to move! Did you get the Crystal White Tintcoat and tan interior? That's a great color combo

Excellent review, well done 🏆

When you’re born a car nut like you, and I! At age 17 I fell in love with my dads Uncles 3 year old 1973 Fleetwood Brougham Naples Florida garaged car he drove back here to Mass to his Summer Home. My Bosses sister was my Dads uncles wife who drove the car to visit my boss. I had no idea who she was but I admired the Fleetwood with it;s imposing Large Chrome Flying Goddess Hood Front piece. She says “it’s for sale” not ever thinking I would want it. OMG I was in heaven when I was handed the keys to test drive. Of course I bought it and spent in 1977 money $70 a week in gas. almost $300 a month for gas. That’s $1,500 in todays money! I didn’t care. I lived in the car if I wasn’t working or Sleeping I was shining it up and driving. Thank You for bringing back some great memories and we do this through classic cars and trucks.
This generation of the Eldorado is awesome
I agree! It's definitely underrated, lots of people don't know just how good they are. Thank you so much for watching the video!
I feel like Doug would be proud man!
I certainly hope so 😎 Thank you for watching the video!
you awesome excellent perspectives.
Thank you!!
Excelent video!
Thank you so much!!
My Mom Had A Black 99 Eldorado Caddy 2 Door Coupe , Very Nice Looking Caddy ... Nice Video & Keep Up The Good Work
Beautiful Car I Love It!✌️
Thank you so much, Thomas!
Thanks man GOD BLESS YOU AMEN 🙏🏾
Great car! you are correct that there is a lot of plastic but that was just that era, the era of more lighters and ashtrays than cup holders. 🤤..as always James great review 👏👏👏
Haha that's spot on 😂 Interiors on most new cars are definitely improving upon the older models which I welcome warmly haha. Still this is a great car though! Thank you so much Andy, I'm glad to see that you came back to watch more videos 😁
There's 4 cup holders in it.
I have a 2001 ETC and I love it!
They came a long ways on fit and finish, the earlier Cadillacs you have shown had such wide fender to door gaps, the Fleetwood with that two grand extension, you could still see the outline...lol, but for 18,300 it was a lot of car. Had a 1994 Sedan Deville in Crimson Red, with lacy spoke, the car was great for gas mileage on the highway, I drove from Nashville to Michigan on a tank of gas.....Nice ride
I agree! Cadillac definitely improved up to this point, but it was unfortunately too little too late. Ooh that sounds like a beautiful Sedan Deville, I love red on models like that. I actually just got home from a three hour highway road trip in my '99 Fleetwood Limited and the car performed beautifully. I got 26mpg going 75mph which I think is extremely impressive. This era is under-appreciated in many ways which is a shame. Thank you so much for watching the video, Dennis! I'm glad you like the car
Beautiful car crummy North Star 🌟. Hope your doing well and continue to.
Thank you, Bill! I'm doing quite well, I'm especially excited for summer and the opportunity to film more car videos. I appreciate the support and I hope to hear from you again in future videos!
Good video !!
Wrinkled shirt is a distraction tho
LoL
Thanks for watching the video!
Love this channel brother! Love to see an STS review from 02’ if you get the chance, I love my one to bits! I hope to get the Eldorado 77’ soon! Godbless
Thank you so much, Luis!! I'm glad you like the channel so much 😁 Ooh, the STS is a great recommendation, I really like those cars. If I get ahold of one I'll certainly review it!
I think the Cadillac name under the hood is a touch of class. Maybe that beautiful engine compartment should be noted it is a Cadillac. The "chip" in the key is actually a resistor. GM has 15 different resistor values in their security system. The wood trim is real. It is African Zebra wood. I own a black ETC. Nice review, thanks.
Love watching these James. Where are you videos recorded? The surroundings look so nice and calm. As somebody from the Netherlands I’d love to have those wide vistas, makes the cars look even nicer as well.
Thanks! These videos are recorded in northwest Ohio. Its definitely a nice area to record car reviews 😁 Glad to hear that I have a viewer from the Netherlands!! Thanks for commenting and watching the video 😊
I missed you dude.. do more videos. Mom and pop luxury cars
I'll be sure to do more videos just like these! I'm glad to hear that you like seeing them 😀Thank you so much!
Nice Nice Coupe from Cadillac Beautiful ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi James, I do like those Eldorados, my mom used to have a 98 Seville STS which had the 300 hp engine, that was one quick car, unfortunately the car had to keep going to the shop, I have to admit that I took it to 100 mph on I-70 in Colorado, but it had every option, it even had the power headrests for the driver & passenger, I miss it, if I could find one I'd buy it, I hope that you do a video on the Seville, that would be cool!!!
That is awesome! I absolutely love the late 90's/early 2000's SeVille's. I've always been impressed with the technology that they had back then. They were very much the top of the line Cadillac for the time. They can be hard to find in decent shape though, especially the STS. I heard that the suspension system on the more powerful STS was complicated and, once broken, would be replaced with a less sophisticated version. But if I ever get the chance to drive one I'll certainly bring it to the channel! Thanks for watching 😁
I love the car I have one before nice 👍 smooth car,but have head gasket problems at 100.000 ml
They are nice cars! That's too bad it had the dreaded head gasket issue. It's a shame that so many of these cars are destroyed because of that problem. These are nice cars! Thank you for commenting and for watching the video 😁
I HAD ONE WHAT A GREAT CAR NOW HAVE A 2011 PLATIUM DTS GREAT CAR
Like watching the videos. Is this El Dorado for sale? If not do you know of any that are for sale?
Good job with the eldo review. Go buckeyes Akron born here.
Thank you very much! That's awesome you're an Ohio resident. Thanks for watching the video!
@@JW_Reviews inwss born in Akron live in Seattle now. Miss Ohio tho.
Nice job. Is the car listed for sale somewhere?
Yes sir! I have it on Facebook Marketplace. You may be able to find it either by searching on Facebook Marketplace "1999 Cadillac Eldorado ESC" or by looking at the Perrysburg Ohio group, the Bowling Green Ohio group, or the Wood County Ohio group. Or if you have any more questions about the car or would like to see it we can communicate however you'd like. Thank you for watching the video, Scott!
Going to add yellow race stripes, and MORE wood trim to mine when i do get one.....make it the coolest Eldo in the world , hahaaa!!
Wow, that'll certainly be a unique and beautiful car once it's done! I'd love to see the finished product someday. Thank you for commenting and for watching the video, I really appreciate the support!
Do you think you will ever review a Lexus?
I'd love to review a Lexus! Actually, a friend of mine recently got an LS 500 which I'd love to get my hands on. Unfortunately we've both been busy and we haven't gotten the chance to do a video yet because of how long it takes to make one. But if/when I get the chance I will certainly do it 😁 Thank you for watching the video, Jake!
THANK YOU JAMES;

Saw your review and went and bought my own. I got a 98 ETC with 80k original miles in diamond white with the sunroof spoiler and every available option offered
Congratulations!!! Wow, it sounds like yours truly does have everything! The ETC is very special, I’m glad yours has low mileage. Do you like the extra horse power of the ETC? And diamond white is one of my most favorite colors!
@@JW_Reviews Definitely it moves like a scalded cat 🐈 lol. Has the Bose 12 disc changer plus cd in dash and the audio for a 20 year old system sounds good. It's so smooth and powerful they just don't ride like this no more
That's awesome! I'd love to drive an ETC someday. I also really like the looks of them because the chrome is replaced with body color panels which looks very cool. Thanks for commenting about the car!
The Cadillac emblem under the hood wasn't for breakdowns it was for when you open the hood people knew exactly what it was they were proud of the car and the engine
Hi James! I would love to own one of this, however based on what I’ve read, is it true that all these cars have an expiration date because of the NorthStar?
I have a 1997 eldorado with almost 198k and it still runs strong. No vvti, flat tappet cam v8
Love these cars, one of the last of the good normal older styles. The only sore spot on these,,,,and other models of that genre is the hit or miss Northstar engines Caddy should have went with the LT/LS series GM engines.
The ETC with the hard top was one of my favorite big coupes of the 90s. I think the Lincoln Mark Viii was a better car but both really nice for their day.
Can confirm they’re a nightmare to work on. Crashed mine and had to repair with my dad. Takes about 30 steps to get any one thing done
Some definitely seem to be better to work on than others... Thanks for watching!
Nice car and nice guy . I’m looking at one like this 25k and 91 25k , they are so different ! What do you think ?? Thanks ,great video .
Very nice! Is that a 1991 model year? Personally, if they are both in similar shape and mileage (and if the Northstar doesn't have any issues) I would go for the 1999 model. It is so much more modern and has nicer technology. Howevery, that is just my opinion. You should test drive both cars and see which one fits you best. Thank you for watching the video!
@@JW_Reviews Thanks James , I’m now on a DTS !!
Wow congratulations!!! How do you like it? I actually drove a DTS for the first time last week. I was surprised with how comfortable it was! I had no idea how soft the seats and ride were in that car. Plenty of space too! Although it was a limousine haha
@@JW_Reviews Hi James , well I love it and how it drives . I have another an SL Benz and they are like night and day .
Now only thing is missing is you for a ride !!
Excellent! I'm very glad to hear that you like it. Ooh that's awesome! One of my dream cars is an XLR which seems to be similar to the SL (but I haven't driven one before). Do you like your SL a lot too?
Bring Back The Eldorado!
It would be awesome to have the Eldorado back in production 😎
Do you have second channel?
Nope, as of now this is my only channel. Thank you for watching!
Hello, how many cars do you own?
Just one 😁
The car you picked for this review has a couple of added ‘features’ that really detract from your detailed discussion of the body. The totally unnecessary pinstripe above the front to back belt line crease take away from the designer’s intent that the pearl in the paint creates a natural ‘flop’ highlight down the length of the car. This line accentuates the careful alignment of the doors. As much as I appreciated your detail of the unique front fender/ A pillar interface, the fake convertible top covers the real magic of the body assembly which is at the top of the ‘C’ pillar. There is a hand-leaded joint there that allows an uninterrupted, one piece effect over the shell from the front fenders to the taillights. I’ve had 2 of these cars, 1994 and currently own a 2002, both in the pearl ‘white diamond’ color and that unity of the body separates the Eldorado even from other Cadillac models of the era. Park a clean Eldo next to a Lexus, Mercedes, even Jags and Italian stuff and that unity of the body makes the other luxury cars look more like a Hyundai. Also what’s up with that wind noise? But thanks for the review.
you did good but adding more research details like history and common problems will make it better
That's a great suggestion, Albert! Actually, I started to add history sections into some of my newer videos which I've really enjoyed doing, but I'll also be sure to focus more on potential problems. Thank you so much for watching!
I have an Eldo only complaints
Wish seat switch was on the door
And
Wud like a digital speedometer
That would be nice for the switches to be on the door. It's always strange how some cars have that and others don't. Even cars from the same brand! I think it is easier to have the buttons on the doors too and then you or your passenger won't be fumbling for them. Thanks again for watching!
Love your caddy ‼️
Are you a dealership?
I’m glad you like it!! Nope, not a dealership. I’ve been fortunate enough to know several people with collections and I’ve been able to buy/sell some of these cars for the videos. It’s been a wonderful experience. Thank you for watching the video, Joe!
@@JW_Reviews Wish I could do it 🤞
I'm sure you could! I certainly never thought that I would haha, you never know what could happen. Thanks again, Joe!
Is it reliable?
I believe so, yes. As long as the Northstar is maintained properly then it will be very reliable. Thanks for watching the video!
It's fairly reliable and expensive to maintain especially if you don't wrench yourself.
the glove box is the same as my 84
Wow! I didn't know they used the same glove box for that long. Are there any other interior parts that they used in both cars?
@@JW_Reviews it's completely different lol.
The wind in the video just ruined it for me. Very detailed though.
I apologize for the wind, it is worse in some spots. I actually got a new mic which I used in my ‘76 Eldorado video which stopped the noise. Feel free to check it out if you’d like! Thank you for watching the video
Needs the whitewall tires with the gold pinstripes. Does not look good with black tires. Tires look like everything else on the road today.
That's true! I definitely do like whitewalls on the older cars like this, it would be a nice addition. Thank you for watching the video!
Beautiful car, beautiful location. Reviewer needs a tailor.
Is it convertible?
Good question! This actually is not a convertible, this era of Eldorado didn't have a convertible option. This car has a cloth top which was not a factory installed option. It was added on several years after the car was first purchased. There were a few companies who converted some of these Eldorado's into convertibles, but the quality probably wasn't as good as it would have been if they were made in the factory. Thank you for the question and for watching the video!
@@JW_Reviews is the cloth top removable?
It probably isn't, but I'm not totally sure how the top is applied to the car. It might be glued which would make it difficult to remove
@@JW_Reviews if i remove it will it look like a regular el dorado?
As Guerrero used to say, "do *not* bleed on the Eldo." czcams.com/video/g-Dgpsb0kLQ/video.html
For a lot of folks, I think Human Target was their first exposure to the Eldorado with that unforgettable first scene, where the camera slowly pans over the hood and into the cabin to Guerrero. Ever since, folks have tried to match the sheer badassery of that combination. The frameless rectangular doors and stubby rear end with the thoughtful vertical taillights tell you all you need to know, which is that this is something much more special than just a Seville.
Haha wow I've never heard of that show but that's so cool they used an Eldorado! It really does look nice there. And you're right, these Eldorado's are certainly very special 😁 Thank you for showing me that clip!
@@JW_Reviews You're welcome. I'd invite you to check out the show too. The Eldorado becomes a character of sorts in the second (and final) season.
Interesting! I'm glad to hear it had such an important place on the show. Very cool!
A Cadillac without white wall tires is sacrilage!
That's true! It certainly would have looked much better with white walls 😁
I have a 94 eldorado 70k miles bought it for 2k
She is pretty for sure
The key "chip" is actually not a chip..It's a resistor..It is called PASS key,There are 11 different resistors.
The good old American Luxury Car, all but dead. Shame. I guess new luxury and comfort is perceived as eco-tech, the new "black top" computer on wheels. Not a lap top, not a desk top, a black top that does everything so you don't have to enjoy driving
Ain't it a damn shame, kinda gives me the blues. Shiiiiiit
Yep, todays cars are not like they were even 20 years ago. And I agree, it's too bad there aren't purely focused on luxury rather than techy sports cars! Maybe someday things will change... Thank you so much for commenting and for watching the video!
