Love this, I created the video because these timers really don’t look easy to program. They look a lot more complicated than they actually are.
😆"No one can afford to be an idiot" - I haven't heard that phrase before and it is cracking me up! There must be a way to buy currency paper nowadays and tons of people printing their own money at home then, because the stores and roads are chock FULL of idiots it seems 😉I guess I shouldn't be pointing fingers though, considering that I had to come to CZcams and watch this video to learn how to correctly program my outlet timer because I couldn't figure it out for the life of me despite trying at least a dozen times since I bought it less than 24 hours ago... 😅🤣
Hahaha...I laughed so hard at this comment. I haven't bought the timer yet...because I'm one of those biggest knuckleheads...and being one of the biggest idiots in the planet....I was afraid I wouldn't be able to set it...I just couldn't afford to mess it up for my chicken coop!!!..lol🤣🤣

Thank you for this video. I purchased a house and the previous owners left us their outside lights and this timer. Since I didn't have the manual I had no idea how to set this timer. It's the exact GE timer you are covering. Thank you for this video so even a dummy like me can understand it.

I'm cracking up because when I read your comment it was almost verbatim to my reaction when I opened up mine yesterday and read the "directions"... might as well have just given us a recipe for a gluten free bowl of gluten, that may have been easier to understand...

great video. instructions that came with the darned thing (Magnavox 32972-M 2 outlet timer) don't say ANYTHING about pulling up tabs. And when I typed in the model number for the manual I got a 138 page PDF for a TV.

Watched one timer video before this one. It was good also. I think close up video on the pins/ indicators with the person demonstrating their operation by pushing them up and down would be helpful. Just trying to locate them was a challenge. And I didn't get a picture of them in my mind when I heard the words pins nor indicators so I didn't know what I was looking for. Whatever a demonstrator opts to call them, I recommend a close up view of them AND the demonstrator showing a close up of their being moved. Nice video and presentation done.

@bdaly03 honestly I don't get why it would be split at 12 and 12... the sun goes down in the evening and depending where you live, earlier or later so makes sense to be sunrise around 6am and set at 6pm. But my basis is also I've never seen one with 12..where do you live? I'm in canada. Cheers
@@dana102083mine is 6/6 but I’m willing to bet she’s in the US bc most of the ones here are 12/12. We like to make things that are eayy difficult here, apparently. 😂 I’ve never felt as dumb as I did trying to set this timer. 🥴

Hey one quick question I follow your instructions but my lights didn't turn off at 11pm. Want to program lights from 6pm to 11pm
Does it stay on until you shut it off or does it eventually turn itself off but not at 11pm like you wanted?

Can you set it and forget it ? Or do you gotta mess with it every day??
You can set it and forget it, but if you unplug it the current time will fall behind and you'll have to adjust it again.
