When my cousin was born in 1959 she was legally deaf and blind with heart problems. She had surgery a just a few days old and again as a toddler. My aunt and uncle were told she was "r*tarded" (the word used in those days) and she would never amount to anything. They were told to place her in a hospital to live out her short life. They fought for her. She learned to sign and she learned to read braille. She attended school in Berkeley CA for the deaf and blind. She graduated and actually was part of a pilot program with McDonald's hiring handicap people. There was an article in the local paper.... probably late 70's. She got married and lost her husband many years ago. She cleans house very well and does all the laundry for her and her mother. She is a very productive human being. She is beautiful and loving and funny. She is 64 years old now and very loved by her family. Don't ever give up on your beautiful little boy. He is adorable and funny. EVERY HUMAN BEING DESERVES LOVE AND LIFE. God bless you and your family!
No one knows Sebs potential. My brother was told that Katie (born with CDLS) could not see, but see could. They said she would never walk, but she did, she knew a lot of what was happening, and was able to(non verbal) express her needs. Go Seb, you have the best parents.

I've been watching your videos for a little while and usually don't comment, but this one hit my momma bear button!! I too, am a mother of a special needs child and I understand how nasty some people can be. Its 2022 & we have all of this new technology at our fingertips, but duck tape still hasn't figured out how to fix stupid. LOL!! Hang in there Steph, you've got this, girl!! Just remember that doctors only know so much, but God can move mountains with less than a thought. When my son was born, almost 34 years ago, his doctor said there wasn't anything else they could do for him and sent him home to die. My son is living proof of what God, proper care and love can do, especially when others gave up on him. He may not be able to live on his own, or do some things like everyone else can, but I'm thankful for every day, he's still here. Stay strong Steph and please give your precious Sebastian, some extra snuggles for me!!

My son has static encephalopathy caused from a viral infection which caused run-away fevers. I had an employer once who told me I should have just put my son in a home. I quit. My son does not have limitations as extensive as your beautiful boy, but he is still very dependent upon me and his dad, and will be for the rest of our lives. When people say mean or rude things, we have learned over the years how to not feed their ignorance and how to lift each other up. By the sound of it you have as well and I cannot express how uplifting and inspiring you and your family are in regards to Sebastian. I wish I had someone like you when my son was younger (he's 25 now) because it would have been nice to know that we weren't alone in our struggles. You're doing a great job and oh, by the way, you have an awesome singing voice. Holy smokes, I wish I had half of that talent. Keep doing what you're doing, we all have ups and downs, and we all make mistakes along the way, spill food on the counter, etc. You got this! We are behind you, nevermind the negative nellies.

My lil sister Gracie has Downs...lemme tell ya God doesn't make mistakes... she's a very loving smart 48 yr old woman who loves her tablets which she does all by herself loves strawberry shortcake videos and going on trips...we lost both our parents and Kellie has done a wonderful job with her...she's traveled thru out the US...she's the best gift God could of gave us...he chose us for her to be in our family we are blessed...you are a very wonderful mama and dad you can see the love you give him...he's a blessing sent from God...sorry some people are jerks but you handled it perfectly fine... I've been watching your videos for a little while and usually don't comment, but this one hit my momma bear button!! I too, am a mother of a special needs child and I understand how nasty some people can be.
Its 2022 & we have all of this new technology at our fingertips, but duck tape still hasn't figured out how to fix stupid. LOL!! Hang in there Steph, you've got this, girl!! Just remember that doctors only know so much, but God can move mountains with less than a thought. When my son was born, almost 34 years ago, his doctor said there wasn't anything else they could do for him and sent him home to die. My son is living proof of what God, proper care and love can do, especially when others gave up on him. He may not be able to live on his own, or do some things like everyone else can, but I'm thankful for every day, he's still here. Stay strong Steph and please give your precious Sebastian, some extra snuggles for me!!

Ever since I found your channel and saw Sebastian, I have loved this little boy and prayed for him almost every day, and for you guys ! He is the cutest, most loving little person I've seen on CZcams, and always brings a smile and a prayer to my heart ! I pray for God to strengthen his little body, give him the best life he can have, and give you and Gio the joy and strength to raise him with all his challenges. From your videos I believe God gave Sebastian the best parents he could have chosen for him, it's so obvious that you love this little boy to the moon and back. He is the sweetest little thing !! Don't waste time and energy on outrageously insensitive comments such as the one you woke up to this morning. My son has static encephalopathy caused from a viral infection which caused run-away fevers. I had an employer once who told me I should have just put my son in a home. I quit. My son does not have limitations as extensive as your beautiful boy, but he is still very dependent upon me and his dad, and will be for the rest of our lives. When people say mean or rude things, we have learned over the years how to not feed their ignorance and how to lift each other up. By the sound of it you have as well and I cannot express how uplifting and inspiring you and your family are in regards to Sebastian. I wish I had someone like you when my son was younger (he's 25 now) because it would have been nice to know that we weren't alone in our struggles. You're doing a great job and oh, by the way, you have an awesome singing voice. Holy smokes, I wish I had half of that talent. Keep doing what you're doing, we all have ups and downs, and we all make mistakes along the way, spill food on the counter, etc. You got this! We are behind you, nevermind the negative nellies.
