The guy that wanted to kick the doctors head in for touching his wife sent up red flags. Jealous isn’t he.
Fathers everywhere, please take charge of your kids when your wife is hospitalized! Don't expect her to entertain or discipline the kids when she's in pain.
I find it easier to have the kids not even there.. No way would I allow my kids to run around like that.
Sometimes they don’t believe wife is in pain …
Mothers everywhere.......please take care of your kids when dad is hospitalized! Dont expect him to entertain or discipline the kids whiles he's in pain.
I'm sitting at home watching and the kids and dad are driving crazy! She should've gone by herself!
I totally agree with you sherry
What an utter fool Susan's husband is! Would he be so aggressive if he, himself, was being treated by a female nurse or doctor? Would he say, "You have no right to be in here?" I think not. Susan, my girl, you need to re-think some of your choices and get that sad apology for a man out of your life.
Where I live they bend over backwards to get female staff for female patients, but if a male patient wants male staff he is ridiculed for it...
it was her partner /boyfriend not a husband . I think they both mentally ill
Imagine having to co-parent with him...

Dad's you are also responsible for care and discipline. Get with it!!
The elderly lady has more class than most of those patients she is a gem
She could sit down with ear girl and give her an... Earful.
She's a sweetheart 💖
"Susan" seems to be in the grips of a dysfunctional relationship with her so called husband. The kids were out of control. Very difficult to watch.
What a picture of dysfunction. Kids following right along of course, they have a hard life ahead.
No amount of medicine will cure that particular pain in the neck.
I met a man the day after he was released from a 10 year federal prison sentence…we are very happily married for 18 years now. He has been more of a man then any other man I have ever made. People make mistakes and serve their time, get out and they do the right thing to be different after they get out. It is fine in life to allow people to make mistakes and give them a chance to show the world they changed
That old lady, if she would live near my place i would visit her every day. She seems to be so kind and lovley
Hang in there Robert. Sometimes just living through a day is painful. Inside the broken man is a man of courage and strength. Don't give up.
I understand
I've had the most amazing conversations with the elderly, their experience and time in this life is something to be treasured and listened to.
The casualties are not only pts but also the staff.
the GALL of that nasty woman to imply that the NHS staff are compromising pt care because of how woefully underpaid they are, disgusting
It's stupidity as well as gall.
I could not say that any better. They call it practicing medicine for a reason. She should shut her mouth.
I really dislike people like that!
The producers should not give the waiting room people microphones and feature them. It's not at all useful to the program.
@@nbeasley2it’s supposed to be comedic relief I think. I agree w you that it’s oft obnoxious and takes away from the rhythm and focus of the program. Notice how the waiting room bits are all either fussy or intoxicated.
She is just such a darling, Esther. I hope Colin appreciates that.
Of course he does. Every penny of it.
Wow, whoever saw the girl with the ear problem is a saint. They gave her the problem and the help to follow up with.
Hopefully they didn’t waste a brain scan on her as it’s likely very little would show up
@@tracypowell2459 Well that's the truth lol.

I feel bad for Robert. Hope life will treat him better. Hope Collin is better he and his girlfriend are a sweet couple. And the old lady is a sweetheart she brokes my heart when she said: it is hard when u face life alone 😔 U deserve To be a happy person.
You know what the pain in the neck is.
Bet I can tell you why she has a pain in the neck.🤬
We all do!!
I wish we could adopt Nancy. What a sweetheart!
Those kids! The guy was jealous like he's a catch. He could have stayed home.
Uff da, I'm glad I wasn't working that day...
I could listen to Nancy talk all day long! She is a beautiful and gentle soul.
Jen is a top star nurse.
I hope Mister Robert knows how many strangers, even, care about him, and wish to see him succeed. This episode is probably a few years old, but I really hope he got over that hill. He seems like an empathetic, sensitive person, and rather than AA, as some others suggested, I think he needs an atypical form of therapy. He'd even do well in a charity setting, I think; if he could go out there and do something with or for others, he might regain his trust in people. It's there, he's just shoved it deep inside so it couldn't be hurt.
Robert's story is so sad. Addiction changes a person so much. 😥
I always love to see Snr RN Jen! Such a treasure.
I agree wholeheartedly!
I agree!
Nancy is such a darling, sweet little lady. Bless her.
His Girlfriend is one of a Kind. So beautyful. Inside and out.
That was a lovely surprise at the end re: Robert. His alcoholism seemed to stem from a lot of internal pain. I really hope he continued with his sobriety & contact with his family (as these episodes are from many years ago). He seems like a nice man & I wish him well.
I wish you all the best Robert!
Yes Robert I wish you well mate. I lost my Daughter at 39 to alcoholism, it's a horrible disease
I wanted to tell the bloke with the lacerated liver, "Don't cry, dude, at least you won't have a $10k hospital bill!"
Everytime I watch ER programs, I'm thankful there are human beings who train, chose environments like emergency depts to dedicate themselves to, because it's vital to have such resources available, not an area I think I'd be mentally equipped to work in
It’s really amazing what stories senior citizens can tell you. We just need to give them some time and sit down and listen. They have life experience. I go to church with a lot of seniors, and they are such amazing people.
I hope Robert has found his way now and has a caring home
dang stabbed by people who broke into your house that would be terrifying glad they are both doing okay
My heart goes out for Robert 💔 I wish him all the best for the future 💙
Has an undiagnosed pain in the neck. I can think of 3 reasons😄
Make that four.
😁😄😜

😁😄😜
Lol my thoughts EXACTLY!!
Dang leave those kids at home. I. Surprise hospital staff didn't ask them to leave. No kids here I ER here.
Never mind the kids, the husband needed the boot for threatening the doctors
I worked in emergency straight out of nursing school. I stayed there for 5 years before I had to move on to a different department. I am now retired and I wouldn't take anything for my time in er. The people are amazing, the patients are amazing and it is a constant learning circ!e. I had major depression and couldn't be all I needed to be with my patients. I then worked as office manager in a neurological office and in home hospice care. Although my job contributed to my depression, I wouldn't take anything for the patients and their families that I met. It takes a special breed to work in emergency.
Colin and Esther are just precious ❤ Young love ❤ They'll never forget each other, i do know that.
The useless husband interjects that Susan's pain is "Worse than having a baby", like he knows what it feels like. They both looked at him oddly lol. To be truthful, I'd rather give birth than have a toothache. I think dental pain is the worst pain I've experienced and I've had 2 drug-free births.
The worst pain for me was gall bladder pain. As bad as labour pains without a baby at the end of it!
@@karencaring3356
I had 2 kids but kidney stones are on par with birthing.
The whiney girl with the ear infection should have been sent to a vet instead. She needed an attitude adjustment. The way she talked about the ER staff was horrible.
I know what's wrong with the mum.... She was hoping she'd get a break from her family for 5 minutes. That failed 😩
No she was hoping she would get some pain meds they look like drug users
Twee judgmental comments from the peanut gallery.
That girl talking about her doctor not caring. Get a grip. You called and said what you were dealing with, she offered a solution, so try it. Your ears are leaking, you’re not dying
She was on my nerve! It's like hello people are literally dying back there and your griping about an earache that's something for a clinic not A and E
Feel very sad for Robert. I hope he recovers.
The undiagnosed pain in her neck is her husband lol
19:58 the elderly lady is adorable. I have a grandma still living alone at nearly 100 who is exactly like her
The pain in her neck is her husband and kids.
Her choice. Maybe not a wise one.
I didn’t realize that there was hillbillies in England
Yes, we should so appreciate & thank those of the medical profession & caring, for all they do for us...if it wasn't for them, we would all suffer a great deal more. I'm lucky where I live...it's a small town, but we have such wonderful, professional, knowledgeable, caring & loveable people that work in our hospital here & our nursing homes...we are truly Blessed here. I always make sure to thank them all & tell they how very much I appreciate all of their care & concern, when I'm unwell.
24:30 whew those kids. He should've stayed home with those kids 32:15 wait WHAT did he say? She gained weight? Wow #1 husband award right there 🙄
I sincerely hope Robert kept his sobriety.
"Thinking doesnt work for me" - pretty obvious there kid.
Colin and Esther are the sweetest couple❤❤
theres also a huge age gap 35/19. i believe age doesn't matter though as i was 20 with 35. But agree completely
@17:33 Is she an irritating creature. Without the relevant tests, a doctor or nurse can only assume what might be wrong.
"I think" said the doctor "You might have slipped a disc?" "So, what I 'think' we should do is have an MRI which will give us a clearer picture of what the actual problem is"
30:54 Jealousy is a sign of insecurity, David needs to grow up and get an education.
Send those kids home
Sweet gentle Nancy.
20:42 I love this lady and hope her all the best.
DONT BRING UR KIDS TO PLACES LIKE THE HOSPITAL FOR CHRIST SAKE IF U MUST GET CONTROL N KEEP IT
Girl with the blue top.... think...... She is the queen
She looked pregnant to she was a very rude girl
Kids don't need to be craling aver her
Seriously???? Who brings kids to the hospital???
@Jane Hall hospitals are dangerous to kids
Completely understandable, but there is no excuse for the way they did not listen and behave. Susan girl knew what she was doing saying she was embarrassed by the doctor being in the room when she "exposed" herself! The husband was just a barbaric idiot!
Find a baby sitter if you can’t control your little monsters!
Monsters???????
Those kids are out of control, husband needs to take them home!
Those kids are beautiful and well behaved
And THOSE TWO are why I never had children…….😵💫
If you discipline them, they won’t be like those children
Because you'd be as bad of a parent as that couple is?
Susan pain in her neck is her husband
Ear girl was so irritating. She seemed like an entitled, ignorant person.
I thought the same
Thank you. Just made my afternoon better
Nancy is the abolute cutest! 😍
WHY THANK YOU……..sorry I couldn’t resist my lame joke because Nancy is my actual name BUT NOT from this show. 😂🙂
what a lovely young couple
Came here thinking the same, she's just a sweetheart 💜
That grown man was 35! And she, 19.
He seems a little bit to old for her?
Boyfriend in hospital with multiple stab wounds. Girlfriend - “can I have another cup of tea” - superb! 😃😃
This was filmed 12 years ago. I wonder if she is wiser now, with their 11-year-child in tow.
The mind boggles.

Doubtful. Once a narcissist. always a narcissist.
I think I know why Susan has a pain in her neck!
Darling girl, you need to leave that man.
I went to the doctor and to Urgent care for 2 years and was even referred to an ear nose and throat specialist because of neck pain. It was awful. I thought it must be my heart but nobody ever found any reason for my pain. Once I had my gallbladder out I had no more neck pain. I am a nurse and had never thought that the 2 were related. Since then I heard Dr Eric Berg speak of gallbladder disease causing neck pain. Doctors need to know that. Mine was always put down to musculoskeletal. That I had pulled or strained my neck. I feel for that woman with those 2 boys running all over the ER while she was trying to be seen. That man should have stayed home with them and give that woman a minute of peace!
Just a word of caution re: Dr. Berg. First off, he is a chiropractor, with no training in general medicine. Here is what Google says about chiropractic training:
Chiropractors don't hold an M.D, so they aren't medical doctors, but they graduate with a doctor of chiropractic degree. They do have extensive training in chiropractic care and are licensed practitioners. Chiropractors begin their education by getting an undergraduate degree with a focus on the sciences.
Then, too, he is a Scientologist, and they have some controversial beliefs about why ppl develop medical problems, which are not scientifically supported.
I'm an EMT, we learned in school about the organs that refer pain. Gallbladder to the upper right (neck/shoulder), spleen to the left, heart to the upper abdomen/sternum/left shoulder/neck/jaw. There's no way a nurse, and certainly not a Dr, aren't aware of this information lol. Whether or not they think about it during patient assessment is entirely different than not knowing
Thank you. I didn't know those things about him, however I found it interesting when he spoke of referred pain to the neck being gallbladder related sometimes, because I know now that mine was and no one that I saw ever put the two together.@@jjrat5pack
LOL Well I am a nurse, but I went to school in 1981 and it could have been mentioned, but I didn't remember it when I was going through it.@@intothevoid3719
28:48 Robes is a very sad story. I know some very smart people like Robert with very weak self control. He shouldn’t be looked down on, he should be helped to get his life back.
Thanks
Andy is such a sweetheart ❤
yes gordon is a pill, susan needs to be rid of him,.
Well done Robert! Keep it up!
when the little boy didnt want to leave his mother it reminded me of when i was little. my mother was in the hospital and no one would tell me why. i thought she was dying; i stopped eating. so i was brought to the hospital and my mother explained that 'her insides were crooked from having babies and the dr was going to fix it.' [uterine suspension]
I could do without the people in the waiting area and their attitudes being shown. Otherwise, I love this program.
Esther will pay the toll eventually.
Agreed, we should all see what they train too do etc.
Pain? In the neck...yep. Sure thing.
Nancy gave her family happiness so we could fight the Nazis and save Europe. Beautiful and heartbreaking. To give up so much should be something we should all keep in mind during our day. And then someone comes and talks about being aggressive.
Obviously she thinks she's special and should be seen immediately.
That girl needs to get off phone
Esther’s lucky they didn’t attack her as well. She needs to get out of that relationship.
Why does she need to get out of that relationship? They live in a bad neighborhood. Maybe moving would be the answer.
Come on, first, he's too old for her, she's still a teenager, and him getting stabbed when they were in bed!? That's dangerous in my book, she should re think that, it might be her next time.
Dad Take the boys out for a walk and get something to eat...
Sir if you see this I pray you've gotten help for your hurts.
16:36 At first I thought she was a air head blond girl trying to be edgy, but now I think she made a great choice in partners and they’re well suited and truly Love each other. Age means nothing.
For me Nurse Jen is the star of the series
Robert needs AA. Otherwise, it's a complete waste of potential. However, if he gets sober, he can still finish his law degree.
23:07 I know who her pain in the neck is x 3. Lol
You wouldn't see little boys running around in an American hospital. They were sweet to each other, though.
After watching this, I realized I'm a real judgemental person. Some of these individuals are ridiculous. 😅. The father of those children was rude to the male nurse. Calling him an idiot was uncalled for.
❤❤❤❤❤
At marker 7 when Jen head nurse was talking to a colleague about Colin the young man that was stabbed....she kind of gave a condescending remark about his tattoos...the colleague questioned her and she abruptly changed the subject and walked off!!!
Up until that point I always thought she was a caring nurse until I heard her make that remark it was quite puzzling... Even remarking that she herself had tattoos....
???
I think she was talking about the naive 19-year-old girlfriend (of a 35-year-old man!) fancying him for his tattoos.
@@myoldvhstapes she was not talking about the gf... she was making a dig at him. I could think of a lot of things to say about her (nurse) (?) appearance.
I think she also said immediately after that she also had a lot of tattoos.
@@rebeccabarnett2907she wasn't having a dig at him and there is nothing wrong with her appearance. Have you looked in the mirror recently?

Hello
39:43 this Hospital is amazing. I would have to be dead to go to our Hospital. It the worst, the Doctors and Nurses are great, or could be if Government would stay out of it.
They say "i think" because they can't really talk in absolutes unless they know it's absolute and to imply that a whole system of hospital staff would just let patients die bc they're not getting paid enough is more than insulting and pure audacity of someone who really didn't think that through before they said it. And I hope she does know that medical malpractice if a very serious crime that is taken very seriously bc that breaks up the operation of the hospital and would cause even more patients to die which would just be a whole thing. Like think for a change before you start talking.
