icicles and cloth are my personal faves bc i feel like i spent the most time in the ice caves. i actually teared up when cloth first played and i was like WHY IS THERE SUCH SAD MUSIC WHILE IM GETTING DEVOURED BY BATS

Besides being sad, Cloth is pretty eerie. It gives the feeling of false comfort and feels weird if you think about it that there is an entire section where it is eternally winter
No joke. Just came to say it was almost magical to hear cloth play and to see the ice caves for the first time. When I realized I love this game.
never forget first entering the lava caves and hearing “visitor to the unknown” playing then immediately being ambushed by a shadow shaman
That track is literally my ambience when I try to reach lvl100 in skull cavern

A Flicker in The Deep & Cloth always make me incredibly nostalgic and tearful for some reason. It already feels like this game is 10+ years old to me, and those initial experiences so long ago.
yeah, all the songs feel really nostalgic, probably because the years you spend playing in game kinda feel like real life years.

Crystal Bells anyone? This song makes me think of the feeling when I have to say goodbye to Stardew Valley whenever summer holiday ends and I have no time to play, busy with exams and homeworks. I wish I could live a peaceful life like that for the rest of my life.

"A Flicker in The Deep" got me, this game has some of the most amazing music in a videogame.
I feel like magical shoes is slept on. It's really good.

i just recently got into stardew valley and i just want to say this game has one of the best soundtracks ive ever heard. the mining system is fun and really scratches that itch in my brain to just wander caves, collecting loot and fighting enemies that games like terraria and minecraft accomplish too.

Yeah it’s a really cool addition to a farming sim and scratches an itch that aren’t in other games like Harvest Moon

The bass riff around 12:50 on 'visitor to the unknown' makes it the best track for me.
Playing this game and going through the mines and desert cave really felt like Dark Cloud, running around the Divine Beast Cave at the beginning of the game.
The 1st one makes me feel how the mines were forgotten and left by everyone but it still holds good things and isnt so bad
My friend tried getting my to play this game with him and I never wanted to. I finally caved and just mined everyday, the music made it so much more enjoyable!

I have it as my default farm theme on the jukebox during fall season. It gives me kind of an upbeat spooky Halloween vibe.

I like that none of the themes in Stardew really repeat after one play. Sometimes as good as some themes in games are they become old after a while of constant play

Love this. Star Lumpy is an obvious hit, but lately I’ve been really into A Flicker in the Deep- it’s just so perfect… stripped down, minimalistic yet simultaneously contemplative, poignant, slightly somber with brief bursts of gentle playfulness… it’s really great.
Cloth sounds like a slow, sombre version of the The Office theme at some points.

My favorites are Crystal Bells, A Flicker in the Deep, and Cloth. Both bring back such memories.

Cloth hits me like a truck every time. Most of the other themes are either dungeon crawler themes that get you pumped to fight the monsters or soft, gentle ambient tracks, but then this Minecraft-ass song starts playing and it makes you Feel Things. I guess I know where all those Frozen Tears came from
I wish someone would mix all of these together. The mines has some of the best tracks in an ost thats already loaded with amazing music, they are all just pretty short.
I would put this soundtrack on with my then newborn and listening now to "A Flicker in the Deep" could make me cry. It's so achingly beautiful and the pace reminds me of a perfect spring day, just like those first few months with my newborn.
Every track sounds great but my god, Cloth is the absolute favourite one of mine. It really makes you stop mining for a moment and think about the skeletons, ghosts and lost bags that belonged to people who entered mine before you and never came back to the surface.... even you're still alive only because marlon managed to save you before it's too late.... i just wish the flute part was longer.
For those of you who don't know this is what we call hidden gems. Really hits the feels.
