To me, Charles has something that the rest all new-generation hasn't. When there's something wrong, I feel a lot of pride and stubbornness in most of them, like Ocon, Verstappen, Gasly, Sainz... and it creates useless animosity sometimes, and makes them a bit dislikable sometimes (don't get me wrong, I love these drivers too, they are quick, and still very nice guys). But Charles looks humble, always questioning what he's doing, and still, very fast. And that's what we love to see. Obviously, we need to see him against other drivers rather than Ericsson, but in F2 he shown how good he was. And perhaps it's just me, but there's something that really hits me. Whenever I see Charles on TV, I also see Jules Bianchi. I know they had a very close relationship. But in the way they speak, in their attitude, in their shyness, when I see Charles, I also see Jules. And all the qualities I've mentioned for Charles, that's the qualities I've loved with Jules. So I'm 100% confident on Charles, and 100% behind him.

I think he’s more susceptible to pressure than I originally anticipated, but I still maintain he’s the fastest driver on the grid over 1 lap pace, and has all the potential to be one of the greats. I really don’t feel like he is to be blamed for the 2022 or ‘23 season thus far. I think it’s safe to place the blame squarely at Ferraris door at the moment. If he’s smart he’ll be looking at other seats at the end of his contract.
