The real MVP here is the cameraman, walking backwards for 15 minutes
William Lewis no doubt.
There is a woman with her hand on his back and she's walking forward.
Ikr they have this guy cross roads and shyt walking backwards
Colin like allways a woman to tell you where you have to go. .. tssss
I'm still impressed with the hand held cameras SLRs, video quality. Nice editing. No homo LOL
"Until 3 year old, i wasnt really thinking about racing" I wasnt really thinking at all until 3 years old tbh lol
Drunken Hobo what a surprise to find you on an F1 video. Usually you’re at Kurt’s or some mindcracker:P

Leclerc: "(...) racing, motorsport - this is basically my whole life."
Buxton The Weirdo: "Hahahaha!"
WTF? o_O
Right haha
When i was 3 years old i was drivin rc gasoline cars
@@vaggeliskaravolos4509 well, I suppose you are closing to becoming an f1 race winner than me then ;)
Leclerc record at monaco:
2017 F2: Retired
2018: Retired
2019: Retired
2020: Race canceled
2021: Pole but DNS
2022: Pole but finished outside the podium
2023: P6 :/
2024: The end of the curse 🏆
when he wins it'll be truly special
@@varunkiragi8010 if he wins, his races almost seemed curse. He's a bit desperate to win and until he can control the urge to send it at Monaco he will never win.
In 2019 he was doing great ‘till Ferrari decided to screw his race since quali.
Corne Van Gulik he is like Riccardo at Australia
I bet they can't wait to hear their anthem at their own race
This guy walked through crowded Monaco...backwards
what a legend
Up until you see 7:26 lol!
U don’t say 😂😂😂😂
Someones guiding him...
Nee het is steen Ssh ssh, don't destroy the illusion
An interview where Will asked Charles “how does it feel to race in your home grand prix” in about 15 different ways.
RIGHT!!! 🤣
Spot on 😂
i remember seeing this 6 years ago and thinking the same thing. i thought it was getting a bit old. buxton is an idiot though. i don't expect more.
Leclerc is such a humble guy . The way he spoke about Bianchi in present tense made was a bit tearjerking tbh.
"is this just a normal city"
Walks past a super yacht dealership...
RIGHT THEN.
It's a normal and special city at the same time. A lot of common people work and live there
Charles has the cutest imperfect English lmao, “Since I am 4 I have dream of this”
Scott literal translation of French there, their word for since comes with the present tense rather than the past as in English
@@136ctrh interesting
he's the cutest babyyyyy
I am so in love with him
mujhe nahi lagta yeh cheez koi Indian ke baare mai bolega, par koi nahi.
Every one talking about how good charles is in this interview, don't forget the cameraman walked backwards from charles home to the track well done to him
Well, he got someone that helped him
I think he has a person that is holding hand on his back and is leading him. Im not saying it is easy because of that but its just part of their training and job, they used to do that all the time and people working on this positions wouldn't consider that extraordinary.
they also have someone guiding them lol
Seiniger yeah i saw that but walking backwards is not really comfortable
Actually all the top comments now are just about the cameraman, so maybe don't forget about charles.
goddam charles is charismatic and handsome af no homo
He is sexy af. I would get into his pants as soon as I've met him. 😁😁
Steven Fell agreed man hahaha
I need that Alfa shirt
iliovecaRS it’s clean af
Oh btw he hangs to the left, 🍆😋😋 really close to his phone hahahahhaha really close
What a humble cool guy. I hope he has a long and successful F1 career
I know you already know about this. But i like to see old comments predicting things. You were right either way.
He shall
Charles taking pole positions now over seb , lewis
He is getting there
*gets outscored by new teamate*
*has never finished a home race*
All i can think about is.. that cameraman walked all that way backwards...
There's another guy guiding him haha
Kristof but still thats a long ass walk backwards haha.
There is a woman with her hand on his back and she's walking forward.
Colin so bec she has a hand om his shoulder it means he does not walk backwards? I know how it works dont worry but it does not chance the fact he walked all that way backwards guided or not... jesus xD
DarkstealthGaming you have a point 😂
I didn't expect of him to be such a chill guy, definetly hope he gets good results
A good looking guy and Charles Leclerc. And of course that Cameraman.
Vol deMort cant say the same for voldemort😂
The true star of the show, that cameraman :P
1:28 And the guy behind the cameraman...
+Nayan Lad Actually it's a girl behind the cameraman. You see her again at 2:24 , 3:43 , 7:26

soon he will learn the legendary "bwoah" and at that point, ferrari will give him a seat.
I Could not agree more hahahaha

Giovanka Bisano don't forget Honestly 😂😂😂
I hadn't really given Charles much attention until this video, he's definitely made it into my top 3 favourite drivers; Humble, charismatic and definitely a personality this sport needs. Not to mention he's only one year older than I am. He's got a bright future in the sport, big respect from me!
New Senna and Prost era coming on with these two, you can figure out yourself who is the Professor and who is Senna.
such a down to earth nice guy.
Really impressed with this young man. Talented, driven, handsome and smart, with no signs of the ego that tends to dominate these high-level sportsmen. Love to see him in a top team when some of the old-timers retire.
R.I.P Jules...
False, He didnt die from the hit, he didnt even hit the truck whith his head. what killed him was the breaking force when he stoped (Hit the truck)
WWYD78 Nope. The last F1 crash where the Halo would've helped was Senna's.
Drunken Hobo Last time I checked, the Halo didn't protect against cardiac arrest. Otherwise I might have to get one for my car!
. Jules didn’t die of cardiac arrest
@@monsieurboks the halo wouldnt have helped senna, the HANS device would have but not the halo
Charles just looks like some French Top Gucci Model
Charles is getting some well deserved exposure, good to see kid dreams come true thanks to his talent alone.
Charles is almost insultingly hot. With his face, body, intelligence and perfectly imperfect English accent. And of course his amazing driving talent
Charles is so precious and lovable. Jules and Herve are so damn proud, I know it
Man, can I imagine that. The streets, the houses that you have known since childhood, where you know every tree, every cobblestone -- now have metamorphosed into a race track, with elements the same but all the passages and connections now completely different. And you will be ravaging through this kaleidoscope of childhood memories at aircraft speeds, against the finest on the planet.
I'm literally a Leclerc fanboy
DerFresheDude who isn’t
DerFresheDude who not?
Don't be a fanboy, just be normal fan :)
HirAjEm PMPL Infact we are fans, fanboys are the annoying part of a fanbase, I just hope that Charles will be a sort of Gilles 2.0 with him being in S.F. in short time.
Not a fanboy, just passionate
Everyone’s most hyped driver. Hopefully he can qualify and finish well...
That's Verstappen
He is better than Verstappen!
That's what I was trying to say.
Verstappen? Oh did u mean crashtappen?
Raunaq Gupta Grosjean took his title
Charles is an extremely talented driver and it's surprising just how humble he comes off as. He is definitely one of my favorites on the grid, and I do hope he keeps his attitude even after being a world champion someday.
Leclerc is so humble, he's the peoples driver!
I love his english, his accent is sweet !
Top lad
The future LeClerc v Verstappen rivalry is going to be epic.

its Leclerc, its literally in the title.
How did he know?!
julian szymczak I’m American and have never seen anyone spell it this way
Are you a time traveller?????????
future ferrari driver?
Too soon to say. He has potential, talent and is part of Ferrari young driver programme but lets not forget last time any driver of this calibre and experience level joined Ferrari It was probably Massa in 2006. Also fair to say that Sauber was at that time bit more competitive and Massa was able to showcase his skill against drivers from midfield teams. Another thing that is important - there was way less talent in F1 in 2005 than you have today and Ferrari didn't had as much of a choice as they do today. It was either Massa or Heidfeld/Webber/Button. Kimi was taken by McLaren and Alonso by Renault (best team at that time). There was DC who didn't prove himself at McLaren or guys who were about to retire like Ralf Schumacher, Villeneuve or Montoya. Rest of the grid was simply poor with guys like Karthikeyan, Wurz, Monteiro or Liuzzi, stars like Hamilton, Vettel, Kubica or Rosberg were about to join year or two later. These days you have guys like Ocon, Verstappen, Ricciardo, Hulkenberg or Sainz that can take that seat for years to come.
This is sure, he'll kick Vettel
soupe2000 Oh Really? He can't beat Kimi 😂
Sourav Mishra I'm joking but he's truly dangerous, I'm sure he can do something special like Hamilton did to Alonso in 2007
soupe2000 haha. You let my inner fanboy soul come out :D
I think this has been said a few times now, but:
I really like Will Buxton and I think the drivers like him as well. They respect him as he is there as someone to have a chat with, and it is recorded and for tv, but he makes it more like a conversation between fan/friend and driver.
He is interested, actually interested and honest with them, saying when he thinks someone didn´t do well but also gives credit without showing to much bias.
You can see at the end how Charles enjoyed this in some way and I must say to watch these Paddock-Pass edition and these interviews - Will you do a great job!
It´s really good to have journalism and interviewers like this in a sport!
I was saying after Kimi retires i will stop watching F1 but i might keep going just for this guy.I hope he will have the best career.
He just retired, 3 years later!
Man, this guy has got to be one of my new favourite drivers! He spends all this time talking to the press and doing entertaining things like that and is so chill.
Good luck in the race!
Rest in peace Jules.. :(
How can one not love Charles? So humble yet so talented. As an Alfista I became a fan instantly. Forza Alfa Romeo Sauber F1 Team, forza Charles Leclerc!
Imagine Charles Leclerc and Jules Bianchi in Ferrari together :(

yea its finally happening this year!
He has the rotten-est luck in Monaco, honestly.
I've watched this many times now. A classy interview with Charles - a talented, humble and an amazing personality. Buxton never fails to disappoint.
Excellent Interview Will Buxton!
This is how other Formula One drivers should portray themselves to the public. I know that would not be very realistic, but this was actually a very comfortable interview to watch, and a great way to get to "know" one of the up and coming drivers on the Grid.
Kudos to you Will, but also to Charles Leclerc for giving such a mature interview, and not letting his nerves get the better of him. The pressure on him at this race must be tremendous, yet it just seemed like any other day, having a conversation with a good friend.
Congratulations again, and Good luck in the Gran Prix Charles.
Hope Charles gets his own CZcams channel. Bit vlogs here and there.
The most enthusiastic 14 minutes of my life
A very nice young Man, humble, without a hint of arrogance. In the next 10 years he will very likely become one of F1's elite drivers. 👍
Poor guy. To have to go through so much pain and emotional trauma at such a young age. I knew he and jules were close, but they mustve been really really close if Jules' father was Charles' godfather. I hope Charles does well, as it was Jules who helped Charles get a sponsor.
Jules was Charles’ godfather
Will questions were all the same “what does it mean to you to be here, in this city / in this street / in this one” lol
Will Buxton is doing an amazing job and putting himself at the top of the sport's journalists at the moment. He really knows how to get close to the drivers and draw natural and emotional answers from them. Great job. Keep making personal pieces like this.
I love him as a sportsman but those dimples are a gorgeous bonus!
Charles Leclerc doing great man.......love your driving......hope you make it to big teams
He might have lucky background but he seems a nice person. Really talented, I'm definitely rooting for him this season.
leclerc: monaco is quite a normal city
aaaaalrighht....
HUGE shoutout to the cameraman. His shoulders and arms must have been burning. That gimbal set-up isn't light and to hold it up for nearly 14mins, wow!!!! And while walking backwards, and the frame was perfect the whole time, brilliant effort.
10 K I thought exactly that but when they cut to the b camera, the conversation is fluid and the cut is never more than a couple of seconds. I’m pretty sure this was one bloody long take.
God damn. Charles leclerc is freaking handsome

charismatic, charming, humbled, loveable and talented this guy. his future is bright in F1.
Remarkable young man who's been through a lot. He's looking set to write some major chapters in F1's history in the near future
It’s weird to think that if he hadn’t been noticed at a young age we wouldn’t have seen such a great driver today.
I like this style of doing casual interviews while walking around town. More of that please!
When he spoke about Jules, oh man! Playing with the heart strings
Give that Cameraman a RAISE
9:30 casually greating jean alesi, as one would normally do in monaco
The passion Will Buxton has for Formula 1 is so prevalent, it's so refreshing!
That Alfa shirt is so cool

'Um I don't come from money and carting is expensive for me but I know the prince since I'm 6 and he's been supporting me ever since'
Thumbs up for the camera man walking backwards and the one guiding him :P
In fact, they are 7 in the grid to live in Monaco
(Hamilton/Bottas/Leclerc/Ricciardo/Verstappen/Vandoorne/Hulkenberg)
I think Hartley said yesterday he lives there too
but leclerc is the only true monegasque, having lived there all his life and not just there to avoid taxes.
They have an apartment in Monaco...but they do not live in Monaco
Are they real Monocans?
Tom bomb No they only live there to avoid taxes. Exept for Leclerc he is a real Monegasque, he is born in Monaco.
I just love thesevlogs as they help with the insight and buikd up to the Racebrilliant
But what does it meeeaan to you though? What does it mean to you emotionally to be here? What does it mean to you? What really what does it mean to be here? Waking these streets where you grew up, what does it mean to you to be here now? And being here going 200mph through the street where you live, what does it mean to you?
Ooooouh seems like someone suffered watching the interview. ;-) Now if I cut your comment down to even less words we get: mean, mean, mean, mean, mean, mean. ;-)
TRIALandMUSIC just a little lighthearted joshing!
Congratulations to the cameraman who walked backwards the whole way.... He deserves a recognition.
Imagine a Monegasque accually winning the monaco grand prix!!
I think Charles is one of the best drivers in F1. Keep pushing man! Btw, I love these videos😉
"The guy from Monaco", one of the temples of automobilism and the most glamurous race of all time! I really would like to see this guy winning Monaco GP. I hope that this year it'll become true! Maybe the championship too!
so good of F1 to give us such quality insight into one driver.
Monaco looks stunning and seen, definitely need to travel down there one day
he's being asked the same question over and over again
Some say he is still walking backwards
9:51 those are some badasses
That was so funny . Ya beat me to it
Didn't get it!
They show a sing which says no walking on the street
Love this man’s character
Definitely need more of these videos, great work!
6:05 Charles talking like kimi
English Language is hard😂
The alfa romeo shirt looked better on him than the ferrari, change my mind. Would have been so great to see kimi and him in alfa romeo lmao
Great interview. Very glad Buxton gets to go these types of interviews now. The CZcams presence of F1 is a great change Liberty has made.
being from monaco i did kinda expect him to come from wealth, knowing the sport requires money. positively surprised he made it even without family being the one to pay for his way. makes him more relatable to have gone through a more normal route of finding a sponsor(?)
Not hating or anything, but every driver is likeable when they're an up and coming talented rookie. They all have their stories which make them even more likeable. But when they get to the top teams and start winning races they'll get alot of hate. When they then crash out a few times or take somebody else out the hate goes through the roof. Hamilton used to be the poor kid that made a dream come through but shortly after his succes he was already being hated for alot of reasons. Look at Verstappen: Used to be one of the most exciting drivers in the midfield in that Toro Rosso gaining praise from everyone. Gone to Red Bull, immediately wins the race. After that though, people really started nitpicking on every single thing he did wrong in their eyes. Every move in the breaking zone, every time he made contact... I mean look at the start of this season. People went from loving him to calling him the next Maldonado and a crash kid, after just 4 races. And this was the guy that absolutely schooled all drivers in the rain in Brazil 2016 when he was only just 19 years old. However, after 3/4 races in this season he is now all of the sudden one of the most hated drivers. Vettel had a similar story too.
Soneven though Leclerc is now being loved by everyone, expect him to be the next on the hate list whenever he gets that Ferrari seat.
A uselessy long panegyric to incorrectly generalize - hate is earned on track. Both Hamilton and Verstappen used to drive dirtily and be arrogant, thus attracting the antipathy of many. If Leclerc will abstain from doing any of this, he will simply keep getting the deserved respect.
Its because most people support their views on things with what was said on TV and because people lack understanding of how F1 works. Majority of F1 fan community is clueless and they allow the hype to get into them. Additional factor - professional haters and fanboys that lack objectivity and just repeat what they heard on TV or even worse read in the comments on YT.
Also you actually brought two really bad examples because Hamilton and Verstappen changed a lot since they joined F1. Hamilton more than Verstappen but obviously he is longer in F1 so he had more time to change. But he changed and you cant expect people to look at him in same way as they looked at him in 2007. I for example personally really liked him in 2007 but it was changing with time and now he is one of my least favourite drivers of the track. However since im not a hater i can objectively say he is one of the best drivers in history (4th on my personal all time list). So i don't hate Hamilton and i don't hate on him, i just dislike him because he isn't my cup of tea of the track.
When it comes to Verstappen im big fan of his talent since he started racing in STR. However i wasn't on that "absolutely amazed" train, i still had some concerns about his driving style but in this absolute madness of the hype nobody would listen. Lets face it, most Verstappen fanboys still believe his overtake on Kimi was completely legal and FiA fucked him up "as they always do". When you only mentioned that his driving style is bit reckless people were instantly hating on you because "he is biggest talent since Senna" period. Now he made like 6 major mistakes and crashed 5 times in first 4 GP's and you still cant criticize him? I mean some people will wait in silence and at the right moment they can say "I told you so". On top of that as his talents fan i think little criticism will only make him good but fanboys cant stand few jokes about him. Truth is that his skill was overrated from beginning and that's the fault of fanboys who cant see their hero makes mistakes like every other human in history of earth and cant distinguish between talent and achievements.
Last but not least you said that people calling him next Maldonado after he wowed everyone in Brasil 2016. So you should most likely look at the similarities, Maldonado when first came to F1 was very impressive, in his very first race in average Williams he was fighting Alonso's Ferrari for P5, he won in that crappy Williams at Spain 2012 something Max never did in STR (didn't even had a podium). But his "WOW" performances were in shadow of his crashes and Max is exactly the same. One unbelievable performance, few great results and overtakes and then plenty of unsafe manoeuvres finished with 5 crashes in 4 GP's and all of them because of his ego. Just like Pastor, had speed to overtake cleanly if he waited for lap or two but was too eager to go for gap that doesn't exists and crashed. Verstappen's start of this season is probably one of the worst 4 consecutive GP performances from star driver so obviously he deserved to be criticized and people have valid point calling him next Maldonado.
Max Lodder it's a good observation. Look at how happy people were for Vettel when he won at Monza with Toro Rosso, but that goodwill didn't last. Ricciardo seems to be an exception as he's so charming people just can't hate on him. Mind you, he's not won a championship yet.
It's almost as if drivers for big teams, fighting for races, are scrutinized more by the public. Who would have thought! Your comment really made me think.
You were terribly wrong there, mate
Love these segments!!! Please @Formula1 expand these segments, and show more backstory and history.
