    No.
    Alicent puts out her anger on Aegon, when she is the one who forced him to take the throne.
    He didn’t want it and she never trained him. She has some nerves to say that to him, especially about his father who neglected him.
    And what has Alicent proposed at the council except rolling her eyes ?

    • @OffWithTheMasks
      @OffWithTheMasks Před 16 dny +11

      Everything is Otto's fault, firstly, as he sold his underage daughter to the king, and the only thing Alicent was taught was to listen to his father and the men around her, no one else. And now she's at fault by never stepping up to her father, not even when her children were involved and by projecting and passing on all of her trauma onto her children. It's all very disgusting and tragic.

      Crazy how every other reactor agrees that Aegon should abide by Alicent's abusive behaviour and words, to just sit there continiously and take all the bullshit thrown at him like it's just another necessity in his role as a puppet.
      I think it's crazy how many of us can feel hurt by the words said to him on screen, to go "oof damn", to be horrified at the beheading of HIS child, promised his revenge just yesterday and told to do "nothing" today, and at the end of every episode go on to question "man Aegon's such a child why he acting like that". I think any average individual in his shoes would've gone mad by now lmao. Acting out is the least surprising behaviour of his, he has been insignificant and unloved by everyone his entire life.

    I know Condal stated that Aegon's Bond with Sunfyre was "propaganda", but they threw in a lot of signs for how close they are.
    - Obviously you have Sunfyre affectionately nuzzling up to Aegon in the Dragonpit, with Aegon giving a genuine smile.
    - The episode establishes that Aegon is a flawed speaker of High Valyrian, which Targaryens use to command their dragons. Yet he uses Common Tongue to communicate with Sunfyre, who obeys him completely.
    - When Sunfyre is burned by Meleys, he does everything he can to land on his wounded belly so that Aegon doesn't get crushed. Cole and Aemond find him curled around Aegon after crash landing.

    rhaeneys attacked in the hopes of injuring vagar in hopes another black dragon can finish her off. (Meleys is one of the oldest and strongest dragons) or kill her or maybe kill aemond so vhagar would be riderless and out of the picture, she is more experienced at the end of the day Meleys was too injured to have made it very far & Rhaenys would have never abandoned Meleys even for the sake of her own safety. That last look they gave before turning back to fight Vhaegar again was a mutual acknowledgement they were going down together. Makes that whole moment that much more heartbreaking. Arguably the greatest episode of the series so far because every scene mattered. Criston proved himself a great commander and Aemond showed how much better he was than aegon in every way. The reason y Rhaenys didn’t retreat is because it would show that the blacks don’t support their allies and with how the pr with the blacks is already so low she knew they couldn’t afford it. I also wouldn’t say Rhaenys didn’t do this to spare lives with how many hundreds int thousands of innocents she killed in episode 9. Yeah Aegon and Sunfyre would have joined in but those two are useless and honestly probably would have been more of a hinderance to Vhaegar in the fight trying to protect the king while trying to fight the attackers.
      Helaena and Dreamfyre probably wouldn’t have joined in either, neither are capable fighters.
      The only real problem in that plan would have been Vhaegar and the scorpions surrounding the city.

In the battles of Daeny and Drogon we could see drogon easily protect Daeny from arrows, but in an such hard sky battle against Vhagar and probably 2 more dragons (even they would be a much lower threat) neither Melys or Caraxis could protect their rider… the chance of winning would be luring Aemon and vharga out of the city and finish him there… could work. Aemon is proud and I don’t think he would flee a fight…

    Dragons are Dragons lol. Especially in this world they have no qualms about killing eachother. Vhagar especially doesn’t care since she literally killed Lucerys and his dragon when Aemond didn’t want to do that. Remember, Vicerys in season one literally said “The idea that we control the dragons is an illusion”. The dragons will do what they want, its just that if they bond with their rider then they will be more inclined to follow directions. However you can’t force a dragon to do anything.
    They are smart, they care about their riders, but they are killers. In the books they are way more unstable and brutal towards anyone. They’re wild beasts at the end of the day that will kill anything in their way. If you tell your dragon to kill, it will kill and have no thoughts about it with the only exception being you telling your own dragon to kill yourself and even then the dragon WILL do it

    In the books Aegon and Sunfyre had literally one of the closest bonds of all dragon riders who ever existed.. Poor boy, poor dragons don't deserves all this family drama. Honestly, this season is owned by Tom Glynn-Carney. Even when Aegon was powerless in the small council scene, he totally owned the scene. It’s bizarre because the writers clearly want the audience to like Team Black more than Green, but they made the Greens way more interesting to watch. Rhaenyra spends basically all her screen time wringing her hands and being indecisive, Daemon is off having a tantrum in the middle of nowhere and doesn’t have much character beyond “I’m angry”, and Rhaenys kind of just stands around looking smug/condescending.
