Yellowstone officials release suspect's name, timeline of deadly shooting

The man killed in the shooting was identified as Samson Lucas Bariah Fussner. A woman told Yellowstone rangers he allegedly planned to carry out a mass shooting.

This prompted me to do some searches. It’s legal to carry a firearm in Yellowstone, but firing it even in self-defense is illegal. They didn’t specify self-defense being from an animal or another person. Lots of laws are ridiculous.
