We’ve seen great things from Blueair in the past. The Blueair DustMagnet 5410i has held our number one rank as the best overall air purifier we’ve tested. But in recent tests the Blue Pure 311i Max edged out even the DustMagnet in terms of particle filtration, with the best smoke and particle filtration we’ve encountered in testing yet.
But even though air purification is the main thing air filters do, it’s not the whole package, and thankfully the Blue Pure’s sense of gestalt is great, too. The quiet fan is ideal for bedrooms and is nearly inaudible in Sleep Mode. Its fabric wrapping serves as both an attractive design note, and a prefilter for pet hair and dust clumps, that’s easy to clean.
While the Blue Pure is decent at filtering out VOCs and chemicals as well, it falls somewhat short at the job, especially compared to some other more chemical-focused purifiers. If VOCs are your primary concern you might look elsewhere, but if you’re worried about forest fire smoke, cigarette smoke, dander, dust, pollen, and other airborne particles then the 311i Max is the best air purifier you can buy right now. #airpurifier #blueair #airpurifiers

What should we review next?
The important thing you reviewers always forget is to check their replacement filter quality. These units come with great filters initially, but we realized that all the replacement filters we get from their subscription comes with horrible rubber smell akin to a tire. Its a bait and switch scam and by the time you need to replace filters, its too late to return them. Its sickening how corrupt these companies are.

I bought the 411i max. When I turn it on to any fan speed, 1,2, or 3, it will automatically turn off after a minute. Is this capable of staying on all the time?
It should run all the time. The speed may go up or down in automatic mode, but if it doesn't run, there's a fault. The Blue Pure has a one-year warranty (two if you registered it at the time of purchase).
The thing is how do you clean inside the fan? I tired blowing out with an air can but it’s not that strong enough to clean it all
If you take off the air purifier, like you would if you were changing the filter, and turn it over, you'll see four screws. If you loosen those screws, you can remove the fan cover and wipe the fan blades.
