Well consider the fact that the risk isnt worth the possible reward in this situation, considering these two quetalz cant finish off a whole alamosaurus. So its pretty realistic that the rex would back off only to return later. Ive seen videos of small sea birds scaring away polar bears before, so this isnt outside the realm of possibility
Right; An alamosaurus weighs 30+++ tons and I'm sure a Quetz can probably eat it's body weight 250 kilos or thereabouts. The Rex can wait for them to eat their fill and still have tons of leftovers.

The quetzes have range and numbers on their side, and they can fly. I wouldn’t wanna fight them either, they could peck a Rex’s eye out.
This actually does make a little bit of sense, rex tells first quetz off but is still very cautious, because one good peck from that massive and prob powerful beak would injure or even get infected and kill rex, but then the second one comes up and threatens him. This situation would not be worth it when rex could come back when the birbs were done

I think people forget that dinosaurs weren’t just some big killing machines. They were animals that probably acted very much like ones today. Sure, the T-Rex was one of the largest carnivores and I haven’t a doubt that it could end a Quetz with just a bite but it doesn’t mean that it was some mindless overgrown lizard on steroids that killed everything on site. It could definitely kill it but there’s always a risk of it getting a nasty stab, a risk which it understands and in this case didn’t take. It doesn’t mean that the T-Rex would flee at every confrontation like this and would probably stick its ground more often than not.
When you say easily kill a quetz, two things come into my mind, are you a Trex fanboy, or are you just saying that.
Well I’ll tell you this now, a quetz is much harder to take down, they’re so goddam agile, like a little to agile in the air and ground, one solid peck to the back of the Trex and that could lead to an infection, and lord have mercy on the Trex if it gets pecked in the head, lose and eye, chunk of its head, but ye if it gets a solid bite on the leg and pulls it down it’s fucked, it can’t bite it anywhere else over then the head or chest, as the membrane will just tear off and it can still fly
@@Jpz-4-5 I’m not a fanboy of anything since I have little care about either party compared to other dinosaurs, to be honest I tried to give a side to both of them. Maybe I should of been a tad more specific but I felt like I was rambling. You’re completely right with it’s agility and I even mentioned it’s beak. I just meant that if a Rex managed to get a good bite I’d be game over, like you mentioned. That beak definitely was no joke and I have no doubt it was a massive intimation for most, if not all, it came across with good reason.
