@@siraff4461 it wouldn't be useful, if they were any more powerful. 15hp is the max allowed (for 16 years old) here in Europe, so all bikes since the 2 stroke time are 15hp. On some super windy roads over here, there are 125 riders with some serious pace.
Loved this. 5.5 hour drive is a HIKE after a full day at the track. And doing an hour of practice and four hours of racing is a full f*cking day, even if you split the seat time. Congrats on the result.
All racing costs. But if you want a dedicated race bike, a mate just built a small cc race bike on the cheap by buying a write off for next to nothing. So for the price of buying a used bike he built a race bike by pinching every penny he could.

One thing this does prove, you can take a bike out the showroom ,chuck some moto3 slicks on and compete, as you can see some guys remove fairings/lights to save as much weight as no tuning allowed,all designed to keep cost down, you guys did superb with no idea of what was in store.well done Suzuki for showing others how it's done,only beaten by 8 stone whippets and they're 100% correct they were only bike that was straight out showroom
Thanks for showing the accidents. For years I've read all of the British motorcycle magazines and they feature these types of races often. I think many don't understand that this is real racing and people do get hurt. Such a fun video to watch and the enthusiasm is infectious.
I own a couple litre-plus bikes, but I get the most smiles per mile when I ride something with less than 20bhp. This was amazing to watch (I enjoy watching Fagan race anyway), would love to have a go.

O Man! . Riding fast bikes fast and racing are very different things. The battles of a race are way more fulfilling on small bikes like these than racing on big bikes. Look at how much fun everyone was having. Fookkin hell man! Just watching entertained me so much. I wish i could do this too.
This just reinforces the view that 44Teeth is the natural successor to Performance Bikes magazine. Go and rescue Johnny Mac from the practical sportsbike hell to complete the job! Best vid on you tube at the moment.

That looks like so much fun. I did a massive 6 hour karting endurance race on slow corporate karts with hard slicks at Buckmore, leaving my much faster racing Birel Max at home, and boy I have never had such fun. These bikes maybe slow here but it just looks like fast fun - on a slower scale. Great stuff boys, thanks👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Looks like you had loads of fun. Brings back some memories. Back in the early 90's I used to race in Moped Mayhem, 6 hours endurances on mopeds. same sort of thing but a bit slower and bigger grids.

August 1st at Teeside for me after years of racing these 125s, I absolutely love em, trying to get every last bit of power out of them within the rules. Oils, Dyno time, tinkering etc. Great fun and extra affordable

Had a little ride with a chap on the back lanes of Peterborough 12 years ago, a 6 mile twisty B road with a few decent long strips and loads of switch backs... he was riding an Aprila rs 125 and I was on my old Gixxer 600 K7 PC5 full Yoshi... he pissed all over me, when I finally got to the end of the road where he was waiting he took his lid of and must have been late 70's... turns out he was an x pro racer... my ego was slightly dented however made a good friend and a good teacher

In the regs you can do suspension mods, i'd change shock, fork internals and get rid of the stock can. Rearsets on and get rid of lights etc and you've got a podium winner!

I am looking for my first track bike. At 50y, 6ft and about 85kg, I'm tempted to the bigger bikes but everything I see on YT - everything - points to the most fun being had on smaller bikes. I think I'm going for a RC 390 - even an old 250 Ninja or something - they look like huge fun (and silly cheap to race). Thanks for the video.

Thats because for a long time after 2T's went away 125's were complete garbage. The new ones are still too slow but at least a bit of fun.

As cheap as you want it, there's a 125 4 stroke road bike class, a no tuning class to keep cost down or another class which allows it

I had an 04 CBR 125 and it's was surprisingly fast, could easily get 80. It was much faster than my 17 plate supermoto.
