Frankly speaking, being holding a power is to have a social, economic and political benefit...however, the fact for oromo is quite different. I think what eskinder saying has no any means of verification...but appreciate such kind of democratic discussion among the politicians...this is why thousands of Keros/Fanos has lost there life....both has admit the life that has lost for them to be free from prison.....and looking forward on both side to step forward the countriers better political sphere....excited to hear the second part...

This kind of debate leads us to modern and civilized way of settling our differences through the war by words but not the war by bullets. Better ideas, facts, and arguments should win over and accepted by all and become a ruling idea. But the limitations of the system is that parties are organized not on the basis of ideas and policies but organized on the basis of purity of blood and bones. This cannot lead us to the democratic system and elections.

I tried to read most comments from people who watched this program. It. is primarily an angry insult targeting Bekele. The insults (bishishik) have no intelligent, factual basis. It doesn't reflect the feelings of the majority citizens. But they probably won't watch this program, or if they do, they won't comment. In the same country, people seem to be living in different universe. Little Senet recently said, "development/growth without brain/intelligence/wisdom, strength without TRUTH, wealth without integrity," is useless and bound to fail. What will you achieve by insulting, cursing/cussing, and degrading people you don't agree with. Bekele is simply bringing you the truth from the majority you are not interested in listening to... just like the previous/and current government did. Truth hurts sometimes. But truth, fact, wins. ONE Ethiopia that implicitly pushes one dominant language, religion, culture etc based on a history that we do not share is Zeregna, and it can no longer have any place in the new Ethiopia. Bekele is promoting the new Federal Ethiopia, where all groups are represented equally and the government respects multiculturalism and the sovereignty of all cultures and people that practice them. Bekele and his likes are, in fact, the true advocates for a stronger Ethiopia that has evolved with the time. Bekele's view happened to resonate with the majority of us, including the different groups who do not have as much voice and media access such as this TV station. But there is no longer an argument that the old Ethiopia must evolve with current fact on the ground/truth in order to survive. Of course, those who push for the Old/One Ethiopia view have the choice to (1) not have a conversation, (2) try to drawn out other real different views by dominating the media that promotes false narratives, and (3) insulting, belittling, and dehumanizing heroes like Bekele. All choices have consequences, and rejecting a peaceful conversation (and negotiated outcome) with advocates of Federalism in Ethiopia will lead to a much bigger chaos. In my view, such chaos will result in a much worse outcome for the Old/One Ethiopia.

Kudos to Nahoo and this brave journalist. I must also commend our beloved Bekele Gerba for his courage to directly engage a hostile audience. I tried to read most comments from people who watched this program. It. is primarily an angry insult targeting Bekele. The insults (bishishik) have no intelligent, factual basis. It doesn't reflect the feelings of the majority citizens. But they probably won't watch this program, or if they do, they won't comment. In the same country, people seem to be living in different universe. Little Senet recently said, "development/growth without brain/intelligence/wisdom, strength without TRUTH, wealth without integrity," is useless and bound to fail. What will you achieve by insulting, cursing/cussing, and degrading people you don't agree with. Bekele is simply bringing you the truth from the majority you are not interested in listening to... just like the previous/and current government did. Truth hurts sometimes. But truth, fact, wins. Stop the insult, and start the hard conversation folks!

ONE Ethiopia that implicitly pushes one dominant language, religion, culture etc based on a history that we do not share is Zeregna, and it can no longer have any place in the new Ethiopia. Bekele is promoting the new Federal Ethiopia, where all groups are represented equally and the government respects multiculturalism and the sovereignty of all cultures and people that practice them. Bekele and his likes are, in fact, the true advocates for a stronger Ethiopia that has evolved with the time. Bekele's view happened to resonate with the majority of us, including the different groups who do not have as much voice and media access such as this TV station. But there is no longer an argument that the old Ethiopia must evolve with current fact on the ground/truth in order to survive. Of course, those who push for the Old/One Ethiopia view have the choice to (1) not have a conversation, (2) try to drawn out other real different views by dominating the media that promotes false narratives, and (3) insulting, belittling, and dehumanizing heroes like Bekele. All choices have consequences, and rejecting a peaceful conversation (and negotiated outcome) with advocates of Federalism in Ethiopia will lead to a much bigger chaos. In my view, such chaos will result in a much worse outcome for the Old/One Ethiopia.
