G'day. Any idea if you could control the Katana 100 with this? I recently saw a vid where someone had made a MIDI controller (using an off the shelf micro processor chip) that went in through the USB port, so I assume it can be done. If you still have the controller, any chance of trying it out? Cheers.

I am very interested in this unit except for one thing, i can't see that you can run Phantom Power. There is no 7 pin MIDI cable facility, no wall wart. I obviously don't use a laptop on stage for usb power. That just leaves batteries which is not practical for a live setting. Am i missing something here? For such a great looking unit, that's a real deal breaker in a live application. My apologies in advance if i missed something really obvious. Maybe there will be a version 2 with 7 pin Phantom Power? Cheers
Are the footswitch lights supposed to work when you press the footswitches? Not sure why they exist? They only flash when you turn the unit on, but not when you step on the footswitch. Sure would be nice to know what switch is in use
Serious question, do you really need to spend any money on anything more than a Boss katana 2x12 these days? Seriously the tones I can get out of mine are equal to or better than the Kemper for like a sixth of the price. The Katana librarian app really does bring it fully to life too. I am absolutely loving my Katana lately.
Hi Stuee, it's amazing how people feel and hear differently, respect your comment totally, but my experience is the opposite!! The Katana is good, but to me the Kemper is amazing. The feel is so close to the real thing and it performs so well. I've had all the old amps and spent hours in the studio micing and setting things up, by the time you get to record the sparkle sometimes goes! Again after the hours of setting an old amp and cab up then the tweaking on the desk and all the post eq, reverb, compression etc etc. you end up with a processed sound anyway!!! Now I use the Kemper, tweak to my liking and bob's your uncle. Glad your enjoying your Katana, hope it helps you make great music, rock on friend
if you listen to the kemper thru a low qual system, you're right. But once you get it thru good speakers and under your fingers, you get the difference. I've played almost everything in the digital world, digitech gsp1101, L6 POD HD500X, Amplifire, Tech21, Kemper is just head and shoulders above all of them.
Hello. My client has reduced mobility and needs a pedal to trigger a Boss RC-300 Loopstation from a certain distance. His main goal is to be able to trigger Record/Stop from a few meters away from the RC-300 Loopstation. I'm trying to find a solution for him. Do you think this could work? Thanks for any info.
How do I assign the MeloAudio Midi Commander buttons to each DSL40 channels? I just bought the amp, it's arriving in a couple of days and this is way better than the footswitch that it comes with the amp, I'd like to use the 4 channels on it
When using it with your Marshall can it also control 1) switching the reverb on and off, 2) the effects loop on and off, and 3) switch between master volume 1 & 2? And does the expression pedal do anything with your amp (reverb level for example)? Thanks. Great video as usual by the way!
It should work to toggle the loop on and off and to select between the two masters because I do all of that and channel selects with my Helix thru midi, Reverb does not work tho there are no midi program values for Reverb in the Marshall manual.

I don't own it but to my understanding you can use the top 4 switches to switch pedals.. The bottom 4 switch scenes and the right 2 switch up to 9 banks.. Lots of versatility

The MIDI controller is sold also as Harley Benton MP-100 MIDI, maybe worth a try with the Axe Fx III
