When Alex Hirsch set out to make Gravity Falls for the Disney Channel -- he wasn’t just making a show for the kiddos -- he managed to make something that could bridge generational gaps, provide a ton of hidden references, and push the limits when it came to adult jokes. Into the Bunker was a pivotal episode for Gravity Falls in terms of plot and huge reveals -- but there was some pretty risque stuff found in the episode as well. One more comes when Soos, Wendy, Dipper, and Mabel all enter a pretty creepy room. Well, before internet searches provided instant access to adult content, teens and adults had to find things the old fashioned way -- through print. In the episode “Scary-oke”, Dipper discovers a glimpse of what that’s like when searching for more information on his Grunkle Stan Pines. Concepts and heaven and hell are usually not thrust into the limelight on a children’s show, but Gravity Falls presented some of the themes right in our faces for the episode “Soos and the Real Girl”. Watch to see this secret and many others only adults would notice!

I don’t think these censors are bad at all. Sometimes, the internet can use much worse language and make things like the H-word seem like nothing at all. But just because there are things much worse than it doesn’t mean that it’s not inappropriate.

I am 44 years old without children and can I just say that I LOVE this show. I recently discovered it and I am always tuning into Disney to see if it is on.....I wish they would have gone a few more seasons. Big City Greens is also quite good.

I'm 17 and I didn't catch all of them, lol. For instance, the Wendy thing and Love god's "potion" went by too fast for me, and the beer painting, horror house, wrestlers, breakfast club, alien movie, some of the bands, and Evil Dead movie went completely over my head. Tbh, I congratulate you for knowing all that stuff.

Because there was supposed to be a gay couple in that episode, but Disney wouldn't allow it. Alex Hirsch had to fight, and he got to sort of confirm Blubs/Durland in the very last episode.
He seems like a genuinely cool person in real life. He also petitioned to change the Alabama state flag to a picture of Mr. Ratburn's wedding after Alabama refused to air the episode for being a gay wedding.
