Since the 1972 NBA season, Al McCoy has been the radio broadcast announcer for the Phoenix Suns. Which makes him the longest tenured broadcaster in the NBA.
I met Al McCoy at 27 years old I'm 39 now...He gave me a hug .He's part of the reason. I've been a Loyal Suns fan my whole life....Al McCoy You will be missed You are the very very very Best announcer Ever!

At least fans can hear him on the radio. I await the confirmation that he's in his 50th season broadcasting for the Suns there. That will be truly remarkable and incredible for its own right.

Remember sometimes we wouldn’t make it to the house to watch ch 45 and had to listen in the radio (Barkley ,KJ. Times ) extremely great narrator ,, hope the best for Al, a total reference in the suns
Dont have cable and live in a part of the valley thats tough to get good ota signals without raising a tower. And im ok with that cause I wouldnt know about Al. What a legend. SHAZAM!
Class act. By far one of the few guys in suns organization that is real genuine. Al is approchable and always takes a second to talk to you. My father Dick Percudani loved him. Perk always listened to al and said to me nobody knows the suns better than Mr. MCCOY.
I can vouch for that! I once met Al McCoy when I was a young boy alongside my grandpa. It truly was incredible for me, especially since he was as nice and good sounding as he was live in local broadcasts. :)
I came here hoping to find one specific clip. 1976 NBA Finals Game 5. "I wanna tell you something! Somebody up there is on our side!" Was that not Al? I'm surprised that wouldn't be featured here.
As long as Al McCoy is calling the games for phoenix they will never win an NBA title because he is to bias is too bias and untruthful calling the games or phoenix so if you lose again he holding you back and should be fired and. sent back to triple a and learn. How call games without any biases cause it's not cool at all!!
