Smartest soldier I've ever seen.
He is the person we all aspire to be. Most of the time, I'm the one who goes all sneaky-like and parachutes in like James Bond, sabotages stuff, and slips away unseen. As soon as I get into the Helicopter, I become PVT. Goofy up there.
Oh yeah definitely, I'm more like snake... I slip in through underneath the chaos of the battlefield, and find myself on the other side of the occupied map, and capturing the other side for my allies to move into a flanking maneuver to win... Or get shot up by the lucky (or Derpy) soldier who happened to see me...

One of the most accurate moments in Battlefield when you get a good team together made of your good friends and some OP players and suddenly some noob becomes the pilot and crashes the heli.

That's why I prefer to be the pilot than the gunner or the passenger.

The first 40 or so seconds depicts what everybody did when they first flew a helicopter in Battlefield. For me, its what i did on my first 4 attempts whilst playing Bad Company 2.

ArmA 2 was no piece of cake either.
I don't see how some people find it hard to fly in ArmA. After a couple of days of practice on King of the Hill (hardcore, first person only), I can land the Hummingbird in first person with ease. I can land everything else in third person. Not hard.
Flying a heli was nothing compared to jets in that game.
flying in arma is easier than flying in bf.

Coming from Halo, this is exactly what happened to me the first time I got in a helicopter. Did half a backflip and exploded out of bounds.
i did half a frontflip
did half a barrel roll to the left...
Did half a barrel roll to the right
I did a full frontflip (miraculously) and hit a building XD
Did a full backflip, full barrel roll, broke the sound barrier, captured all the flags, set off the tactical nuke, did a three sixty swag scope, continued doing backflips, got my hand shook by level 100 coronel, got a promotion, then died by bad luck :/

I am proud to admit that this is an exact reenactment of the way I first flew a Helicopter in Battlefield! But now, after 3 months of playing, I can fly in a straight line with decent control over altitude without crashing! 7 times out of 10.

Pro-tip for when you enter a chopper, go the scoreboard IMMEDIATELY and check the level of the chopper-pilot.

How is it that EVERY time a game opens with you being in a chopper, it's either to immediately leave it or be shot down and you somehow surviving the crash?
Need experience to fly a heli, not allowed to fly heli for experience.
I never did have trouble flying in Battlefield... I guess Im the pilot who had his chopper stolen, because I often find that a noob blueberry has spawned in the chopper or jet before me.

EZIO AUDITORE first come first serve. Granted though, you should certainly make sure you spend plenty of time practicing in the test range with helicopters and jets before you take one in multiplayer.

This reminds me of when I used to play Battlefield 1943 on Xbox 360. Everyone would rush for the airplanes when the match started, and most of them would crash to their deaths.
I always loved chilling in that Shipwreck with a sniper and picking off people on that huge hill. I don't remember the map in particular, though.

Honestly I don't blame him it took me a while to learn how to drive a plane but you get used to it.
for me it took me a while to drive helicopters
driving planes wasn't to bad cause you can compensate if you do something wrong

if your using the attack heli then taking out enemy vehicles like a tank should be your main task
if infantry start shooting then use countermeasure and hide behind a hill or something
your secondary task is to eliminate any roof campers camping on roofs or on a map like rogue transmission to eliminate snipers on hills which are close to an objective
then the enemy cant spawn on those snipers the entire match
