Jesus this performance was messy, but damn I still love it
This is even better than the studio version, same as Wink. Love this band to death, but they need to find a way to make those drums (and to a lesser extent guitar and keyboard) rock as hard on the album as hard as they do live, or find a middle ground.
I guess it’s just super hard to have vocals cut through on the record when the instruments are too “present”

Having been at this concert, it was probably one the worst experiences I’ve had. Market Hotel is a super small venue and I was actually surprised that the Voidz weren’t performing at someplace bigger, like Brooklyn Steel. Due to the size though, the whole room became a huge cloud of hot breath (I’m sorry for the visual). But yeah anyways, on top of being super hot, the doors opened at 8, I showed up a little bit before that and had to wait through two acts who, quite frankly were a lot. And then they come out around 11:30, if I remember correctly. With that being said, they played amazing. It’s always really gratifying to see experienced artists perform confidently and to that have that talent to showcase. Anyways, that’s pretty much my review lol
Oscar Aragon When I saw The Strokes at the Capitol Theater, it was the same experience...horribly horribly hot because we were all so smashed together it was like one giant sweaty body. I go to shows for other bands all of the time and for years... I’ve only experienced this intensity when Julian is in the room. 😜🤘
I was at this concert as well. I also thought this was one of the worst experiences. Market hotel sucks. Would've been better if the performed in Brooklyn Steel and not have us wait till 11:30.
