Mine is in the same condition to start. The beauty of these bikes is they retain the factory suspension geometry and ride, but they look like a rigid. Nice work.
A very nice job, and a particularly good video presentation. I like the fact that you retained some of the chrome, which makes for an attractive contrast with the black. I'm in the process of "bobbing" my 2005 XVS650. This kind of project is complicated here in Brazil, since it's super expensive to import any motorcycle parts, but I've been able to bring some here (such as the seat, lighting, and Vance & Hines Short Shots) in trips to and from Europe. The law here doesn't permit your vertical solution for the license plate. I wonder whether you ended up wrapping the exhaust in order to tame the noise, which must be annoying on anything but a short ride.
Hey man killer work. What footpegs are you using? I am having trouble deciphering what will work on an 03 1100. Did you have to get all new forward controls? I just want to get rid of these nasty floorboards. haha.
what did you paint everything with i'd like to paint my lights and my levers for my bobber vstar but i don't really have access to like top painting equipment, just curious what you used?
No it was just a back fendere kit from blue collar bobbers. They have the fender and the hardware plus a dvd to show you how to do everything. Pretty cool stuff
nice, love every bit! great job. n press of respect! ! I do have a question though. . I have a 2002 Vulcan VSTAR 1100...with normal sized tires, but I like the wider tire. now I've asked, n have been told that a wider tire won't work good worth this bikes frame. ...but yours looks like it's much wider.
I am only 5'6" and weigh 170 lbs. Is this bike too big for me or weigh too much? was also considering the 650, but that engine is a bit small. any advice? v star 650 versus v star 1100 ???
Nice build. Nice bike. Nice tribute. Thank you for going where I could not.
superb tribute to fallen soldiers with the paintjob. Great bike. Sorry for your loss.

Beautiful bike man. What sort of work goes into bobbing the back end like that? Was it just cutting? Or did you fab and weld something?

1100 will be just fine for you.
it depends on what you can handle physically and mentally.
test ride a couple of them to feel which one is the best suitable for you.
1100 for ever!
Im 5.6 and i have a custom bobber. Had to adjust the bars and forward controls a bit for my short ass. But power wise its just experience.
