It's absolutely fitting for RJ to end it all, on what might be his top phrase. Thank you RJ, we truly love you
yup
Indeed.
Rest in peace, you beautiful, beautiful man. Long live the voice of the Sabres!
"Casey at the bat"
What a last call. Incredible.
I hope Mitts gave RJ that stick.
Only difference is, this time there is joy in Mudville.
We will miss you, RJ.
Me even as an LA Kings fan I'm going to miss hear him calling games for the sabres for my entire lifetime.
Not a dry eye amongst the entire Sabres fandom for this call.
I can’t stop… the best NHL play by play man ever…
He’s the best there is, the best there was, the best that ever will be!
Amongst the NHL, dudes been around longer than a lot of these kids have been alive haha. Gonna miss him
I was at the game. Was holding back tears the whole time
@@jacobbiron9139 Just noticing your surname. Is this a pseudonym, or are you related to Marty?
Legend forever R.I.P
Quite fitting for RJ to call it a career with a Buffalo win in oooveerrtime! All the best Rick - Oilers fan
I’m a Kings fan and I just feel like letting a tear out. It’s definitely the end of an era for hockey. Bossy and Lafluer die within a week, Getzlaf and Brown retire at the end of this season, and now the greatest announcer in all of hockey retires. You can really hear how sad he is just giving that little speech at the end of the game. Happy retirement RJ!
Lifelong Buffalonian and Sabres fan here but I watch a ton of Kings games because of Alex Iafallo and the fact that I truly enjoy west coast hockey, which is often more physical and has that playoff atmosphere to it. I've always enjoyed the Kings broadcasts, lead by Alex Faust and Jim Fox and I will never forget "That 70s Line"!
Rip legend
rip to a legend
I love how people who aren't even sabres fan show respect for Mr. Jeanneret. Best wishes to you Mr. Jeanneret. Class.I must say, he's a legend of great calls. Even today. May 3rd. May day! May day! He brought enthusiasm and excitement to every broadcast because he loves hockey.
The hockey world will love and cherish you forever, RJ!
This hits hard this morning
RIP
Rest In Peace. In tears rn
Rest in angels' arms, Buffalo Legend! 😢
Very fitting RJ gets to make the ooooovertime call on his final night
An OOOOOOOOOOOVERTIME win at home. That’s exactly how it should end for a guy this special and this influential to what is one of the top three fanbases in the NHL. Sorry we couldn’t win a cup for you, but hopefully you’ll live to see the day.
RJ is a hockey legend. So many iconic calls by him. Shame he never saw the team he coverd for 50 years hoist the cup but thay doesn't take away what he gave us. Thank you RJ, enjoy retirement
Rest in peace, RJ. We'll miss you.
What an absolute LEGEND
RIP RJ❤
MAY DAY MAY DAY MAY DAY!!! One of the BEST! You WILL be missed! Enjoy retirement hopefully someplace warm!
Wow 🤩 magic finish 😎 for Rick Jeanneret. Thank you for your all 51 years since 1971 to 2022 wow 👏✊🏻.

One of the most iconic voices in sports. You will be missed Rick!
RIP RJ. Its wild that I havent had a celebrity death bum me out this much since Kobe passed.
Not a dry eye for not only the sabres fan base but for all the people RJ touched in his Life WE ALL LOVE YOU THANK YOU RJ
I was born and raised in Buffalo, and then we moved on to Metro Detroit. We're blessed to have the great Mickey Redmond working the games over here, but RJ is a unique gift to hockey. Wow.................
Gonna miss hearing his voice thanks for everything RJ and enjoy your retirement 💙💛
I feel so lucky and spoiled that my team was the only team to get to listen to R.J call games .we'll miss you .

Iconic voice
I could listen to him describe a shopping trip for groceries.

RJ #51 🐐 he will always be BUFFALO SABRES HOCKEY
OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVERRRRRTIIIIIIME
How many people can say that they loved their job everyday for 50 years?
the spirit is willing but the flesh is weak
Why wouldnt you focus the camera on RJ when hes giving his little speech...? 😑
He had already given it for TV. What the crowd heard was what RJ had said a few minutes earlier.
Ooooooooooooovertime
🥺😢🤔🧐
Myth RJ
Amen to that.
Huge 2 points sabers 😛😝😉
Are eye pee
That’s t he most full I have seen Buffalo. Lmao
Lol censorship on SportsNet’s part. I’ll repeat what I said, you’re an idiot.
RJ Night on April 1st was a sell-out crowd
Take a look back when the Sabres played (and eliminated) the Rangers in 06-07. Not an empty seat and probably over an extra thousand outside in the plaza watching on screen.
Every game I went to this year (vs vegas, Nashville and Chicago) were all sellouts
@Jim Dad That was some game until some refugee center from the Fort Wayne Komets let that 3rd goal get away.
Bufffalo wins it in overtime 🪦 RJ
