Very underrated guitarist, been loving quo for 50 years.
Weres the time gone feel so bloody old😢
Underatted?
More than 50 sodding years and it sounds as fresh now as it did on Ma Kelly.....Long Live Rossi!
It’s the blues. It doesn’t get old.
One of my first influencers, still playing 34 years on. Great video ❤from🏴
Heard this song 1970 at kursaal ballroom in Southend at age 14 loved quo ever since
Loved old Rossi from the "Pictures of Matchtick Men days!! (Keep going young Francis!! x)
Francis, you were my greatest love since I was 14. 😍"Ma Kelly´s" was my first album, and I still love it.
Constantly amazed at how good Rossi’s voice still sounds, hasn’t changed at all.
I hope this gets a release for those not able to attend the shows.
He‘s been taking good care of his health for at least 20 years now
It's on a number of Status Quo albums.
I hear being released on vinyl
Erm, it;s defo a couple of tones ,lower!!
Wow, what a guitar sound! And playing! The early blues rock Quo stuff was the best.
Saw Francis at Dorking yesterday evening, and though initially hesitant about seeing him, it was a fantastic evening and restored my faith in him, - hopefully he'll return with more Tunes and Chat as this felt such a natural environment for him and he really seems to enjoy it. Hats off to Andy Brook, too, as he really complimented and fitted in well with the songs
listening to radio 4 'Ice cream scoop' with Rossi explaining how they were icecream sellers from vans and how they came up with the chimes, very technical, bouncing the chimes off the road, amazing, just had to listen to his music
Dammit!!! Still alive and kicking! Awesome. Sharing this on my Facebook immediately!
Francis Rossi is like an old bottle of wine, he just keeps getting better with age.... greetings from Australia 🇦🇺 ... 🤘
Hello from CH
Just amazing , nobody does it better , still sounds fresh
Have always been a massive Quo fan and also Blues. Francis ain't just twelve bar player. Great to hear him play and sing so well. FFS he must be older than me at 73.
He will turn 75 in 2024
Was so lucky to see this gig last year. What an amazing night
That’s the type of old peoples home I want to be in.
Brilliant..Go Francis Rossi.You Rock.❤❤❤❤❤
Went to see the show last night in Yeovil, It was Fantastic, Will be going again and again.....
Tanta salute x te Francis Rossi 🎸☮️🎸✨✨✨✨✨❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Everything Aquostic was not.
Love it! More pls ❤
Age isn't a barrier. It's just a number.
Well-done FR
Sum people get better with age....you know.....like wine ....the older the better....
@@neerajbenjamin1919🎉Like Johnny Cash did.
Francis Rossi can just about do anything with a guitar , brilliant just doesn't do him justice,,,, loved this
I think he is a bit underrated guitarist, great musician.
Just great, I hope Francis Rossi continues for another 100 years. Fan for a full 50 years
Hope so too👍
Me too !!
Since a child I have always enjoyed status quo
💙tanta salute x te Francis Rossi 🎸
Della nostra generazione 👑
Francis Rossi, the only rock star I know who’s embarrassed by how much esteem he’s held in. I grew up listening to the old stuff and I was twelve when Rocking all over the world came out, the last single I bought by Quo, I moved on to Sabbath, Led Zeppelin and Free but even now when I hear a Quo song I can’t believe that I know all the words off by heart, they must have been a big influence on me, more then even I thought?👍👍
This is absolutely superb. The Essence of Quo and for me why I wanted to play the guitar. Last Friday in Plymouth was fantastic.
Horses for courses
This is just the business Francis Rossi still sounding great timeless, and the Acoustisonic sounds cool 😊
I bought a Fender Acoustasonic when they first came out. One hell of a guitar. Nice to see three of them on stage here.
My first love was Quo back in 72 , through all the punk, glam, reality, new wave and boybands , there has always been Quo, like the queen herself , a "Constant" in our lives and no sign of the Quo era ending . I loved the "Spoon" album for the "Juniors Wailing " classic but still enjoyed this just the same .
Una chitarra 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸 grande 👑
Always liked this one along with Down the Dustpipe.
Rossi can play a pretty good lead guitar as well 😊
Absolute legend. I could listen to Francis all night long.
Same here. Francis Rossi's voice is still so strong. I love that man.
I just love Francis’ face when he’s in the midst of a solo / fill
A man totally in tune (no pun intended) with his instrument
W! Status Quo forever!
One of four LEGENDS.
Quo quo quo Status Quo, juste superbe, Francis Rossi is Magic!
It's just wonderful! Finally no more screaming female backing vocalists with unpleasant voices! This sounds really cool! Well done Francis!
LEGEND DIAMOND
Now this is proper acoustic. I'd buy a full album of this kinda stuff. Aquostic was good for what it was but didn't have enough guitar.
Sorry to me aquostic sucked big time imo
What a brilliant blues man and song writer Francis Rossi is, I missed the opportunity of meeting the him in my youth, one of life's regrets.
Always maintained Rossi was good guitarist. Love this jam.
Looking forward to his concert in September (Guildford) , We have been to many Status Quo concerts over the last 40 +years!
I always loved his voice and playing. My first LP was Dog of Two Head, trying to learn Paper Plane .....lol
Just back in my young years... 🤩
Just beautiful. On yah Fran. Just keep going mate 🙏🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Yes his voice is brilliant great great artist
Great gig in Fleet tonight Francis. Witty banter, superb playing and you can still sing a tune !!!!
Super super super ❤❤❤❤ thanks you
Last year: 60 years on stage. (From October 1962).
Awesome. A true legend and what a legacy he will leave. In about at least 30 years time. Lotta rocking left in this grand master. The other guy a real talent as well. If anyone can help with his name. By the way Rick Parfitt is sadly missed. Legends. They will hook up again one day, I am sure. Excuse me if I have a little cry.
Come on francis ....We want a blues album .....id buy it
Yeah! And Andy Brook is a great sideman;->
Absolutely brilliant Francis
i have seen him so many times and the first two albums i bought were status quo such a legend great seeing him perform acoustic
superb good on Rossi as its always been keep on rocking Francis 👍👍👍👍😉
This is what the acoustic albums should have been recorded like. Great!
What, like electric albums?
@@snakedriver no, I mean they should have been recorded this way, plain and bluesy, without orchestra, harmonica, back vocalists and stuff
@@wirelessboogie They could probably remaster them to remove the superfluous instrumentation.
@@wirelessboogie totally agree
I really did not like aquostic just my opinion
At last, MUSIC ! u tube is absolutely full of miscellaneous offerings that a lot of us just don't understand ! But this is music from the heart, 🙂👍🇬🇧 yeh
These guys are perfect..they just feel it .. amazing!
Well, thats all it takes to get good rock n roll.
Great band , where does time go 🖤
Amazing! He's still got a strong good voice.
Hello Francis, wonderful these concerts in the red armchairs. When can we visit them in Switzerland, will there be one. The songs, the guitars and the unbelievable sound are brilliant, as always, for what feels like 50 years. Kind regards, Osi
Fantastic performance , I‘m thrilled 🎉. This made my day . So inspiring, so good .
Fantastic! Frank has found someone to sing Rick's harmony parts!
Saw Quo at BelleVue Manchester in 1973 when i was a kid. (13). Always loved the Quo. Great harmonies. Belting guitar singalong stuff. Marvellous.
Brilliant 🎸🎸🎸
Guys, thank you so very much for this fabulous performance!
WOW, what a sound and absolutely blown away by this, very many thanks for a real guitar rendition and what a damned great tune!
This is super, one ever the Style of John Fogerty.Status Quo and John Fogerty are all for the Best m!
He must be good because Brian May said he would love to be in Quo and shared lead guitar with him doing "Raining in my heart" and the Beach boys were happy to play with them, 3 chords, don't you believe it !!!
It's nice that he still harps back to the pre vertigo stuff. Ma Kelly's is one of my favourite Quo albums. 😍
Harks. Harks back.
@@augustamccrory5376 Are you an English teacher? Was a typo error get over it.
@@charliepreston1 No actually I'm not. It doesn't take an English Teacher to spell correctly. Language matters. Use it property. I doubt it was a typo. You just didn't know. Now you do. You're welcome.

Well played and sung Francis still great after all these years;-)
Francis ros🎸 espetacular 🎸
Nice blues shuffle
Amazing performance. Voice is still the tops.
Super cool💚
Love it Rossi ❤
Love those Fender Acoustasonics - and you can buy them in green (hint hint Frame 🥰 )
Best version yet
Should be sir Francis Ross 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
so nice this, hope they released all the songs he does this show on a album
Met him a couple of nights back and was there for my brother as he is a massive fan. When he asked do I like quo I said I like 2 of there songs which he replied "honest, I like that". Having sat through the show I AM NOW A MASSIVE FAN 😁
Superb. What a legend !
the king of boogie
So talented
Yes, this is so lovely! 🙂
in my top three favourite songs
Status Quo is Status Quo, even if they split it in halves. They all got the sound in it, and Rossi most of them all. "Rock till you drop", man. And let in not be in this century.
OMG🫣 The best ever 👏
shame he doesnt play this in a Quo gig anymore hes still got it!
No comment. ❤❤❤❤
Frame doing his thing it's brilliant to see him still rockin in acoustic way so unrated guitarist!from Shaz in the uk.
Love it . . . Just love it.
I love you Francis 💞💞🎸🎸
Now there you got me
Francis has changed a few of the lyrics, but that's cool, it's his song.
In this LIVE version Francis sings "Well, I lost my money" whereas, it is..........
There's one or two more he changes as well.
Poetic license.
Well, I spent my money on the spinning wheel last night
Well, I spent my money on the spinning wheel last night
Well, red twenty-seven didn't do me right
Well, I went in smiling but I came out feeling down
Well, I went in smiling but I came out feeling down
Well, now that I'm a poor man, I got no friends around
I went high up that lonesome, high up that lonesome hill
I went high up that lonesome, high up that lonesome hill
I need a whole lotta money so I can pay my bills
Well, the spinning wheel blues have made me pack up my bags and go
Well, the spinning wheel blues have made me pack up my bags and go
I had to leave my home town, 'cos they don't want me no more

As a Guitarist, Francis has always been very close to being #1
QUO fans will say that Francis and Rick are the 2 best Guitarists of all time, and I would agree.
As an obsessed QUO fan, I regard " Ma Kelly's Greasy Spoon " and " Dog of Two Head" as a Watershed period for them.
I was 9 yrs old in 1970 when I heard " Down The Dustpipe" and my brain screamed " What the fuck is that?"
My life changed forever and the better.
Long live THE QUO!!!!!!!!!
Simple, but great.
I really enjoyed that , in fact I thought it was Brilliant 🎸🎸👍🎤
Awesome.
Love it ❤
